While the OP went off the rails there were still a lot of posts that were concise and rational who didn't wholly disagree or agree with the original post. People here reacted sort of the same way that they believe most people do on Nexus and Steam about them and their community. There are a lot of cool people on Nexus and Steam and various other TES Mod Websites that I know and share my Modding knowledge with. Is there some sort of unwritten law that if you are on a different modding website or forum that no matter what you say doesn't matter or somehow means less than squat? To me there isn't any subsect of Skyrim Modding. It's all the same. People just get into what they are into. If other's don't like it, well just like people are saying here: why care about it? If people don't understand it, well that's a different story. I think there were some good points in that Steam forum that made the OP realize that people will do what they want to do. heres something good. ''Most of the people who Mod their games with LL mods and female cosmetic mods usually do so because they lack certain social skills and experiences in their own lives. So to make up for those things they lack in their own personal lives, they indulge in their own little Skyrim world with hyper sexual Female overhauls and sex mods. I've seen enough threads on here to know that a lot of people do indulge in their fantasies thru Skyrim (as I do). As for the part about lacking social skills and experiences? I'll speak for my self and say that I'm into some crazy smut and I should probably seek help for it. Do I act it out in my skyrim? Yes I do. I believe I have good social skills. It is frustrating that there are certain things I get to do in my Skyrim that I don't get to do in real life which isn't a healthy thing at all.

As far as I'm concerned, LoversLab, Nexus, Steam, they're all the same and offer different branches of it. Nexus offers a shit load of mods, LoversLab offers the delicate stuff not meant for public use and a tight community, and Steam offers... well... a social aspect, I guess? (I'm not personally on Steam for the community, so I couldn't tell.) But yeah, I'm on both LoversLab and Nexus (even though I prefer the LL community), and so far I have never really seen a hate thread in which every single individual lined up against LL. So whenever you read something like that, take it with a grain of salt... or a pound, if you're easily butthurt

However I appreciate their stance on discussing other sites. It usually will degrade into some political bull crap. It inst' necessary and distracts from the material, mods and resources of that site. Also might even open up the site to some possible legal repercussions being that they are one of the largest mod content provider and can be viewed as a direct competitor of many of the smaller mod sites. Someone might get but hurt and decide to try to sue them for 'definition" and they might be responsible because they can "moderate" the thread.. One possible reason. However it is only a guess. The only one that can answer that properly would be Dark One. However I really don't care enough to concern myself with those minor aspects of Nexus.

The official reason given for this behaviour is that the Nexus staff regards LL as a Warez site, that we're all a bunch of pirates who didn't buy the game, and all the content here was stolen from somewhere and passed around as if this was a bad version of The Pirate Bay. The actual reason, since i doubt these guys are ignorant enought to actually belive that this is true, is a matter of much debate..

It's a matter of hosting and advertising. LL has nothing to lose by linking to the Nexus, but the Nexus might lose its advertising or hosting by letting people link directly to LL.
