It's not a fact. It's an opinion, presumably a popular one, but it cannot be a fact since no objective criterion exists for determining the price of purchasable additional content in a video game.

 

 

You scored one point here.

 

Capitalism is based on demand setting the price.  If people really like something, the price will go up.  If people don't want a game or mod (in this case), the price will go down.  People liking something is VERY subjective, so you're completely right.  Worth and value are completely in the eye of the beholder.

 

We're probably in danger of derailing the thread with this talk though.    And before somebody comes in and tries to attack my summary of capitalism, that IS how it works in theory.  It's other factors like crooked corporations manipulating markets or government OVER-interference (some government regulation is good and needed) that screws up capitalism.

That sucks.  DA had ALOT of issues but we never got that crazy,  IMO if somebody joins a new site, they should be given the benefit of the doubt until when OR if they start acting up.

I'd personally be alarmed when someone eagerly tells his neighbors he whips his tied up wife and asks if they want pictures, preferably when the neighbor kids can hear details.

Not sure why people get their knickers in a twist about  what other people do on their own time.  As long as you aren't doing something truely hateful, then whatever.  None of your business.  Why this urge to police the world to conform to your own moral code.

 

I'm new to Skyrim and to modding and to this community.  It's true that I raised an eyebrow when I saw the sheer amount of bouncing ginormous boob mods.  But to each their own.    Guys enjoy the eye candy.  I don't think you need to look further than that.

Well, I think even probably nobody would read this now, I can say my opinion in this matter. Best solution for this is not paying attention to it. (This small troll case) 

On the other hand, countries do same thing with baning adult games for sale (At least it looks like it), but the biggest problem is WHY? It's because majority of people say that adult games are bad because games are only for kids. And there is main problem from my point of view.

Nice example is rape scene on start of Hotline Miami (not sure if 1 or 2 ) this game get banned for this in the beginning in some countries. Before they hide it and let you choose in setting if you want to see it. Why in game it's bad and in movie and book (for example 50 shades of gray) it's absolutely fine. And not only this, you can see naked breasts of womens in TV in time when you have lunch with your children. (well little exaggerating, I don't have children) but it's fact at least in here.

The same thing happened at Nexus when MySpace was 'the thing', and it's still that way now.  Steam/Nexus are just extentions of social media for the type of people who play on their phones all day.  Both of those sites are ran and owned by losers so that's no surprise.

 

And Nexus does the same thing with banning as Steam does, get rid of the victim and do nothing to the people who started the drama in the first place.

 

The BEST thing to do is not particpate on those sites other than using them for dowload hubs.  Don't post comments or screenshots.

Thanks for this... I had a good laugh reading that thread. They clearly don't know about what they are talking about, going on about child mods and us being perverts with no social life. Pretty amusing, and a good example of 'don't judge a book by its cover'.

 

Hey, I'm a perv with no social life, I'm open about it and I won't GADF to his opinion. I love this community exactly because there are no particular expectations or requirements from its members (except the acceptance of the basic site rules and etiquette).

The thing that i find a shame is that.... some of the most innovative scripts have been made here.... the Sexlabs framework, Devious Devices API.... things like that push the modding community forwards... it shows great things are possible when given access to the game's core building tools... A hell of alot more than the 1000'th armor or weapon mod.... or another breezehome.

 

The mods here at LL, both those focused purely around sex, and those that are just mature in theme.... have made Skyrim a whole new experience for me, and I wouldnt have found that if i only looked at Steam and Nexus.... especially if i only looked at Steam....

It's not easy to see the supposed humor behind using "autistic" as a joke for certain people. That would include me, as my little brother is autistic (and is actually a very lovable person). While I get to an extent the point of people complaining about things getting too "PC", there's a significat crowd of people out there who enjoy being intentionally hyper offensive, and then complain or laugh about people being offended in turn. In the free world, you're free to be a massive asshole, but don't expect people to like it.
