Ryan_97 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 I have downloaded everything it asks to and have moved all packages into the correct folder. is there something else i have to do? It is still not working... Do you have to install after downloading? Im stuck here.. Thanks for any help!

Yes, I can see where that could be an issue. Yes, unzip the packages into your Packages folder. Best to make a sub-folder, label it KW or whatever, and put everything together in there, and the sub-folder in your Packages folder. Clear caches and start a game. You have to click on any sim and you'll see Kinky World... go to settings and enable the mod from there. There are a lot of menus and options. Try working them out on your own first. You'll learn what's in there better.

Ryan_97 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 how do you add in the animations? or are they automatically added when downloaded...?

jdw6 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 Speaking of animations, what's everyone else's go-to way of removing the (guessing everyone has a few) specific stages that you don't really like (or find annoying, for whatever reason)? I started out (months ago) using the KW Blacklist functionality (since I just couldn't, then, bring myself to go back to before that feature was added... *ahem* 375 is before that). But I really got tired of that being reset with my trying out various versions of KW. So I moved on to creating a custom version of the OKW files, deleting the XML defining the specific stages. I've not quite gotten around to removing the actual animation clips, yet. But probably should, for nothing else, but to cut down on total package size... But am curious if there's a "better" (read that as "alternate") way. What I'd prefer to do is to just comment-out the stage section in the XML, but since far too many creators went and added various comments inside that block, deleting the section is faster than dealing with how XML does comments (and not allowing commenting out existing comments without a few hoop jumps).

Must admit, my English is to poor to get your point. What exactly you want to do. No idea what you mean with commenting in connection with a OKW XML. My last and only complain about the animations are the rape or crude animations which appear also in wrong situations. It seems that the flags therefore set in the OKW files will not correctly taken by KW or they are missing at all for such animations in the OKW file. This would be the next I try out and modify in my OKW files.

Cloella Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Hello! I'm sorry if this has been asked before but 600+ pages are a little bit to go through! With the D/s relationship options, is there anything that actually defines that in game? I've got commanding presense on one of my Sims, and try to get them to demand things of their partner, but I'm not sure if there's anything else that I could be doing to make it more er, realistic?
landess Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 58 minutes ago, Cloella said: is there anything that actually defines that in game? It would appear OnikiKay created a script separate from the normal relationship values which are default from EA. First this must be enabled in the KW settings. Once enabled, it allows a D/S relationship to begin forming between Sims. Because of the nature of KW, this is limited to actions of a sexual nature. The reason for the separation from the default is so these 'commands' from the dominant to the submissive won't be affected by the default relationship value. So basically the sims don't even have to like each other as long as both have a high enough value per their 'role' then the commands have a good chance of being carried out. A dominant Sim can 'meet' a submissive for the first time and everything should work. If one was to play a rapist sim for example - that action 'kills' a positive relationship between sims (although KW does allow for a masochist trait to develop) but with a high enough domination value, that sim could conceivably begin training submissiveness in Sims that hate it. This is the gist of it from what I can gather based on the options involved with the script based on traits, interaction options, and numerical values held for D/S (similar to gender preferences and relationship values). Hope this answered your question. >> Rereading your post - I don't believe a 'partner' is what OnikiKay had in mind although it shouldn't make a difference. I'm unaware if being 'submissive' affects/lowers jealousy in any way - there is the cuckhold trait, but it's possible (unknown to me) it could be earned like many other 'traits' as lifetime rewards.

I think I've just gotten around it with just adding the cuckhold trait to "submissive"sims - seems to be working okay? Not sure which version KW you are playing (you didn't say, and there's 80+ versions), but if you're playing a version since 0.3.7 build 379 (of the patreon versions) or build 399 (from here), there is a drug "willpowermax" that will help the dom's orders be followed. On 2/15/2015 at 9:02 AM, OnikiKay said: ChangeLog: v0.61 (Build 399) ... +Willpowermax. It greatly increases the willpower allowing to be more succesful when giving orders. Willpowermax removes the effects of Willpowerless and vice versa. It also appears that the d/s relationship stats were added in way back at 0.3.1 build 349 to the SimRelation code. This is one area of KW that actually has had near constant updates/changes/tweaking by the developer. Conversely, there are other whole packages that haven't been updated (even with errors/bugs) since 2017. This is all from build 399. (This got long, thus the spoiler usage.) Things that will "IncreaseDomination" (and how much increase) are as follows. If you consider a "max" of 100, and the smallest increase is 0.125, just think about how many interactions it will take to get to the max domination value. I expected that the "Kinky | Order | ..." interactions would increase the d/s values but the normal "Kinky | Request ..." would not (or not as much). I just can't find that in my quick review of things. There have been a few discussions on how "it defaults to French" for various messages. In looking up this ^^^ stuff, I ran into a few such messages hard-coded in the source code. There was a discussion on diseases a few weeks ago. In looking at the SimRelation code, today, I noticed that there were some odd definitions regarding 'contact type' for how diseases are transmitted. "Odd" in the sense that the animations don't portray the type of contact that IRL would result in this sort of transmission. Oh, and 399 added in (vs. 375) increases in the incest relationship for a few more social events (e.g., "Admire", "Share Secret", "Family Hug", '"Friendly Hug". There's times (like this one) that the dev's "positive/negative" number usage seems backwards to me. Meaning: the code makes it appear the resulting value is being "increased" but a negative number is being used. I guess "max" for "incest" is "-100" not "100". ?♂️ "Max" of anything, to me, should be positive 100. Maybe it's an EA-ism. Each line of social events resulted in different increases in relationship. The surprises (for me) are underlined. Someone might find this helpful, so all are here: Spoiler Disease.TransmissionTypes.Contact "Amorous Hug": "Embrace": "Hold Hands": "Leap Into Arms": "Stroke Cheek": "Whisper In Ear": "Massage": Disease.TransmissionTypes.Oral "Cinnamon Kiss": "Dip Kiss": "Kiss": "Kiss And Make Up": "Rebound Kiss": "Shy Kiss": "Heat Of The Moment Kiss": "Make Out": Disease.TransmissionTypes.Sex; "WooHoo": Disease.TransmissionTypes.Airborne; Everything else. 3

Azuvah Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Perhaps someone can help me (my eyes are tired from trying to find an answer that works). I have been trying to get KW working in my game. So far, I have followed the instructions to add KW / animations / etc into the Package (or Packages) folder (which ever one it is. I've done that. I read to start up a new game file, I did that, but I am also told to "install" and/or register in Settings....that's the part that seems to have me confused. Which settings...where? I recall seeing a video (can't find it now) of someone clicking on their sims and selecting an option that I cannot find. So I do not know what to look for.

It is a KW trait. You can take a sim into CAS and add it there, or use Nraas Master Controller. I believe a sim with that trait can "order another sim to...", but does not obey another sim's orders. 1 hour ago, Azuvah said: I read to start up a new game file, I did that, but I am also told to "install" and/or register in Settings....that's the part that seems to have me confused. Which settings...where? Assuming you enabled KW? It should load after everything else loads, and you get a message to turn it on. If no message, click on any sim. In the balloons, click Kinky World> Settings. There you see it is disabled... just click to enable it. You may or may not have to exit and then re-enter that menu, I don't remember... Once you re-enter KW> Settings, you see A WHOLE BUNCH OF OPTIONS. ))) Too many people never bother going through all of them and all of the sub-menus, and just come back asking questions that would have been answered with one or two more clicks... So, please go through them, as I did. ))) Back to registering animations... Click any sim> KW> Settings> Woohoo> Packages> Add Animations Packages. I believe this is case sensitive, so all lower case letters. Symbols like - _ and spaces do matter. Type in the full name, example: kw_maryjane_animations. Don't use the OKW, just kw. Some don't use the kw at all. Reread what the animations creator said to use and it should work. A few animations, like Lady666 are "legacy" and will auto-load.
