Alright, I'm having a stupid problem with this mod. :/

I can't find Buck the Bighorn anywhere in Goodsprings.

He should be in Goodsprings. Turn left immediately after leaving Doc Mitchell's house, there should be a house with a pregnant girl plowing the field.

I would say that the creature skeleton or head lacks the bone the glasses are trying to attach to

Is that different than the slot (like armor etc) or the same? If so that would mean that some work on the skeleton would be needed to be done to be able to mount the glasses?

As far as I know, aliens are creatures and don't use armor, but a modellist. Likely it has nothing to do with armor slots...

The NPCs (The father and his two daughters) are there, but there is no named Bighorn, which I assumed is what I'm supposed to find. Exactly where in Goodsprings is it supposed to be? Right beside the house where the pregnant chicks are, or further away?

He SHOULD be right over here...

Maybe he just ran off somewhere, maybe he didn't appear properly... who knows?

And when all else fails, use the console command "player.placeatme XX0010e1 1" with the XX being the mod's load number.

(I'll post the rest of the ID's on the main page in case more people experience similar problems.)

Ah, yep. He's not there in my game. It may be an issue with me using an Alternate Start mod, but I checked all of the Bighorners around Goodsprings too, all are just called 'Young Bighorner'. Thanks for the console command, though, now I can try this mod out.

Edit: Okay, the console command didn't work.

Hmmm... I don't see how an Alternate Start mod could affect Goodsprings's residents... I haven't tried an AS mod for New Vegas, so if any other members who are using this sort of mod could either confirm this is an incident or a recurring bug, it'd be appreciated :)

I encountered this bug. Did you use the alternate start mod and come out in goodsprings? Because the same thing happened to me.

Not only that, when i usd alternate start and started at the NCR place where the deathclaw is, he was not there, but the bighorner WAS in goodsprings.

Not done extensive testing but from a glance it seems if you start the game in the same area as a breeder animal, the animal doesnt appear.

The animal doesn't appear but the NPC's do... I'll check in GECK to see if there's any difference between them which could cause this.

EDIT: I think I might have found it. Here's a testfix.

just been giving this a try. Made a whole new save for it and everything. I had the issue where the bighorner didn't show. I am not using an alternate start. I left the area enough to trigger the "Continue into the wasteland" box that lets you change all your stuff one last time. When i came back he was there. My thoughts are he just does not spawn until that happens.

Continuing on I'd love to see a little more mental changes in some of the episodes. It would be fun to slip into cowdom and/or encurage the daughters to do so with the bighorner chapter. I also ran through the cazaddor bit and could never help thinking. "Even when she says beign a host is awesome her greeting and goodbye dialog always sound so upset with being a host. The favorite part of the Deathclaw Episode form Breeder was watching you and Sam get more and more into being breeders. the Miss Moo mod did that well also.

Just tested, the bug still persists. I started a new game, chose to begin in Goodsprings, and Buck isn't there.

Did you leave the cell and go somewhere else for a bit and come back? Is he still missing? It very well might be the cell populating and not having enought time for it to populate correctly. Might be a trigger that needs to initiate before he is there.

Sooo I had a dream last night because of this mod. In the dream my character was wandering aimlessly through the wasteland and came across a camp. As they where looking through boxes some bloatflys showed up and mated her. It gave me an idea for something you might add eventually Maybe even a whole second module Fertile Breeder Encounters. Just spots around the desert where you can trigger brief non story mating. I think it would be pretty simple to do. You could even populate the world with more women carrying animal offspring. Maybe that could tie into the doctor researching the mutation in some way.

Anyway Love the mod I look forward to seeing it grow and improve. Good luck.

In my experience with the bug, when a animal hasnt spawned, it never shows up. THis was both when the bighorner wasnt there and the deathclaw wasnt there.

Its a shame to hear that its not alternate start itself causing it, i started a game without it and everything has been fine. I do find it odd how it seems to only effect the animals.

I believe you might be asking for "random encounters" where this can happen. Kind of like the enemy encounters that you see when you get some random raider, ant, etc  attack.

Random encounters could be a good idea. I'll add it as a plan in here.

:D

You can have lots of fun with that. Quick, easy, direct and short.. Perhaps even create a few when you need a break from the other projects ;). It can grow organically as you learn and gain experience.

I was going to suggest that to User when he finished his major project with the Deathclaws but he quite.. :(

Yeah, I've learned that stepping out for a while can be a good thing. So  Recently, I've been spending my downtime constructing a frame for Jade (it's going to be a little too ambitious for my current skills, I think, but you gotta throw TTW players a big bone every now and then ;))

My idea was a bit less then random. Just creating spots around the wasteland where quick scripted events can happen. Like putting down a abandoned campsite here or there that when you get close or loot a box triggers an animal rape sequence.

I think the idea of random encounters that can spawn wherever would be cool but I also realize jsut how hard that would be to code and how much extra processing that could require on the part of the game.

Gotta say it's a little uncanny for me when I see everyone being so open about the whole getting knocked up by animals thing in this mod. Maybe a few episodes down the road you can have people shunting the secrets to back rooms, or at least away from prying eyes?

None of the Virtual animals concerned have ever complained :)
