I'm having an issue where this mod can't trigger animations. It will say "playing X animation" in the top left, control over my character will lock up and sometimes the actors get displaced/undressed, but no animation will play. Running FNIS does not fix the issue. Other mods are able to play animations fine. Is there an easy fix for this issue?

Give this a try and see what happens in your game, it seems to work reliably in mine: when you encounter one of the Bound Girls who doesn't 'respect' her armbinder or cuffs (which none of them do in my game), open her inventory. I'd recommend using a mod like the Manipulator for that so you won't have to mess around with item IDs in the console. Then remove/unlock the armbinder/wrist restraint from her (you need to have a key, of course) and lock it right back on her again. She should now switch to the correct AA set for the device. So this may be a workaround, albeit a clumsy one, for this issue.

Yes, removing the armbinder and then reapplying seems to fix the issue.

However when they turn in place the arms do seem to come out of the armbinder temporarily.

I have my slot limit at 20 because I have other mods loading DD up with slotted NPCs, on top of which I have a bad habit of playing with the bondage dialog feature, and dressing up unique NPCs that annoy me. If I only had DCL, 8 would probably be overkill.

 

But if you want to perform a reliable test that slotting is not the issue with broken arm binders in bound-girls, advising setting the slot count to something high seems logical, because the player with the problem may have other mods using up their slots too, and maybe not even thinking about it because the slot-use is non-obvious.

 

If the installed animation set is actually to blame - then Kimy will not be able to fix it unless you specify exactly which animation set you installed. If you think you are seeing this issue, go back, uninstall and reinstall your DD with different animation sets, see if it fixes anything. Rinse. Repeat. Report your results. If you isolate the problem to a specific animation set, and it can be confirmed, then the odds of a fix for everyone are a lot higher.

 

If remove and re-add of the armbinder fixes the issue, I'd lean towards it being related to your game state. Updating DCL in place from 6.2 to 6.3 might not be enough to fix binds that were already in place before the update. Can you reproduce the bound-girl problem on a new game, where you set slot limits and girl count up ASAP? Try using Skyrim Unbound to set the values before the game starts. Save, then reload the save, then begin your game.

 

I'm sorry to say that I did all my testing on completely new games, not on old saves that might be contaminated with something sticky from 6.2.

Repeatedly installing the sexlab stack, and ensuring all its animations are properly registered has become routine for me, I'm afraid. Shouldn't have any impact on this issue, but hey, it's Skyrim! Any bug is possible.

Most likely load order. Maybe a stale bashed patch. If you use MO, might be down to overwrite order. Whenever a bug is in one mod, and not in others, it pretty much has to be one of:

  • corrupted install - it happens, especially if you use NMM or do your installs by hand
  • load order - sometimes a plugin gets moved by accident - and did you sort your masters?
  • a straight-up mod conflict.

 

DCL pretty much always needs master sorting for me, which seems odd, as I just use LOOT like everyone, so why are the DCL devs using a different LO for the SL stack?

 

I have this sneaking suspicion maybe Kimy's date-ordering on the SL stack routinely differs from the LOOT LO, and that the dates were set manually, for some particular reason, and that maybe LOOT is actually getting it wrong all the time. The master order on DCL would come from the CK, and be date based, and not be from LOOT, unless Kimy re-sorts in Tes5Edit before distribution ... which is not impossible.

 

I've asked this question before, but no comments. Are others finding that DCL still needs to be master-sorted against a standard LOOT LO for SL stack? Even with DD4?

Zaz 8 dosn't change the actual animation pack or any of the code in it, it just adds new furniture and animations for furniture.

The only reason a mod would need Zaz 8, is if it uses the new furniture, or the new furniture animations.

 

The odds of Kimy ever using something from Zaz 8 that is not in 7, are pretty slim, I would think.

Much as I'd love to see new furniture in Leon's dungeon, I'd much rather he made good use of the devices he already has in there, and I'd like to hope that DCL never gets a dependency on Zaz 8.

 

As 6.2 and 6.3 add no new furniture content, they are surely 7 compatible.

Is there any way to get rid of preexisting bound girls? Other than resorting to violence or using the console /kill

 

I thought I set the number to 0 before they were spawned, but evidently not.

Simply talk to them and tell them you don't care about them (aka do nothing).  That will mark them to despawn soon after and if your MCM value is 0 they will not respawn, and there is no chance of an event triggering.

 

I don't think there is a one-button "despawn all bound girls" solution however, you still need to encounter them.

That did the trick. thanks :smile:

 

Now is there a way to do the same for the girls I freed or robbed? They don't have any dialogue options after I do either one

If you've freed or robbed them that also triggers the same cleanup.

I had the following Problem yesterday.

 

Was arrested using Prison Overhaul.

During the Scene with the Guard the Gods Cursed Arm and Leg Cuffs attached, but nothing else from this set.

Both Cuffs stay during the entire Jail Time, and after i was free again the Guard gave me back my Stuff and at Same time Collar  and Belt attached.

 

How can i remove this Stuff again? I Tried giving myself the Key using the Console, but the Items are still locked.

Tried the DCUR Debug Option to remove all Stuff did not work, tried the DD4 Option to remove all Restraints and same it did not work.

Also tried to Remove the Items using the Console did not work.

 

So is there another way to get this Items removed? 

And how can i block this Items for Prison Overhaul?

Aren't the god cursed items from captured dreams mod? also they're advertised as non-finished and permanent in my memory, and you should -NOT- use them or live with a messed up save.

but it was not me who used them, Prison Overhaul selectet them randomly and attached the leg and arm cuffs to my Character. Collar and Belt got attached after i was out of the Prison.

 

Thats why i asked here how this items can be removed from the Player and how this Items can be blocked for Prison Overhaul. But if its CD then its wrong Thread ;-)

Do you use PO or POPatches?  DDE is a reqt of PO Patches and I'm having somewhat similar problems, in that items from that mod are being applied by DCUR guards, and then 'failing' to be worn because it is stated that there are already devices worn in some locations.  Those that 'failed' DCUR application then appear and are clearly DDE colourred items, .  But they don't show up in the PC inventory.  Why they are being applied seems to be because although they were not visible in the PC SKSE inventory menu, they do appear as then worn in console examination of player, and in the console inv

 

I have yet to test trying to remove them via the console

 

The items involved were first 'received' from POPatches 'surprise gift' at the end of prison sentence, byut at that point only seemed to appear on the PC's follower.  I took these, put them in the PC inventory, and first time I thought those were the items being applied, I left the complete set in the Ratway.  It now seems that the PC may have been equipped with a DDE outfit too that just didn't appear visually or in the PC inventory

 

Using POPatches, DDE, DDa3, DDi4 and DDe4

 

If you work out a solution, please post it!

 

EDIT:  From console, I used player.showinventory to identify all the items that were 'worn' but not showing up on the player's in-game inventory - they appeared in console as entries with 'bad edit' messages, removed them - the console message just said 'removed', not identifying which item was removed - checked that all had gone, saved, and restarted the game again and all seemed fairly well. 

 

DDE would also then added the full specified custom outfit - no warnings of duplicate items - although it did seem to have a small glitch on custom outfit removal, but a 'remove all DD items' did the trick eventually.

 

I'm just going to set POPatches to have a 0% chance of a 'surprise' on release from jail and see if that helps next time

This is old I'm sure, but can someone please explain to me how getting "A rubber doll for me?" doesn't count as 1/5 sex acts to remove piece of suit? Since gagged, its really to solicit paid sex, which is apparently only way it counts. What gives? For example, I am gagged so about 3rd option rubber doll sex happens, MAYBE get to solicit, fail, get raped again, try to solicit again, maybe get successful, have to get rubber raped again, can ask for money, then get raped again.

 

So now 8+ rapes/solicits and IO only get credit for one?!?!

I have a small question ....

 

If Sasha wears a dress and shackles in the cities, but when we leave the city, she takes off only the dress and does not remove the shackles.

Do everyone have a problem like me?

Hi i've noticed on building my bodyslide patch that this mod also adds the catsuit and zipsuit. Devious devices expansion also adds these. in bodyslide batch build they show double. should i remove these from ddx or simply hide them in MO? or should i remove them from DCL or hide those in MO? Or can i just leave them?

The counter in the quest information is just slow to update. The sex acts are being counted though. Just wait around a bit and they will eventually register.

For some strange reason, with the new DCL,DDa,DDe,DDi and zaz7 my pc cannot move when a blindfold is equipped.  Any suggestions as to how to solve?

 

Second problem is a new issue that the corsets in the new DD series don't pick up pregnancy.  I understand bodyslide, and I have run it twice to make sure I didnt mess that up.  I am posting this here as I feel Kimy would know best - she always does! :))
