umm cleaning saves takes almost as much as starting a new game :( due to the hugeload amount of MCM settings..

Cleaning a save will break DDi, as it removes info that DDi adds on startup and which it needs to function correctly. Breaking DDi will break every DD mod you have installed, so that's a no go. You need to start a new game.

 

 

AM I missing something here Coop, why would s/he be trying to clean DDi, when only DCL is the issue

 

 

 

Uh i cleaned so much saves in the last 2 years... unless is something of the latest version i don't think it will do harm.

 

 

Btw it actually worked for DD cursed loot now it teleports correctly i just need to configure every mcm option once again Q_Q.

I also got a lot of saves if you can tell me what to check to see if DDi is broken i would test it.

 

 

I could say only think breaking DDi is currently is captured dreamshop that tries to overwrite a file that is not identified as edited by any mod.

If you overwrite it, plugs will never come off.

Oh btw i now have a new problem :(

During the quest you are equipped with heavy steel shackles.

Well how am i supposed to remove those?

 

Tried all the Keys and even the mcm option to get Keys to no avail... am i missing something?

Two potential bugs:

-I have set the slut collar chance to 0% in solitication, but restrictive items are on. When i failed solitication i got a slut collar as punishment

-Had the rubber slave set (looks just gorgeous). I found 4 rubber restraint keys and unlocked the boots with it. When i entered a new cell (went back from a dungeon to Skyrim) they suddenly were equipped again.

 

 

I'm really impressed with the new version, the comments are great, the number of different restraints and scenarios keeps growing and growing ... In short i can say even if you would stop working on DCL now i doubt it wouldn't still be my favorite Skyrim mod of 2015 :)

I think the default keydrop balance needs to be tweaked a bit. I know I can tweak it myself in the MCM, but that doesn't help when you realize it is out of balance in the middle of the quest.

 

I'm still stuck in the bindings that I got last night. I removed all the hand gear and all the head gear, but I'm struggling to get leg keydrops. I need 3 more to unlock the rubber boots yet most of what I see are hand, head, and body keys. I've got 40-some hand keys and 20 head keys now, which is over and above what I used to unlock gear as those keys were destroyed. In addition I have 18 body keys that I can't use until the leg keys drop. I think the default leg key drop rate needs to be bumped up 10-20%

I've cleaned lots of SL and DDi mods from my save too, had never noticed any immediate bad side-effects from doing so... if what Coopervane says is right, maybe that's why at some point my piercing scripts broke (or maybe it was Skyrim being Skyrim). Fixed it by doing a clean on DDi itself and reinstalling everything (actually re-did my whole SL install while I was at it... done this maybe twice in the last year and it keeps this current 180+mod save humming along. Resets a lot of settings/content and takes me a couple of hours, but the alternative is a broken game or starting from scratch)

I've always used Hadoram's save cleaner http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? which leaves most of your other MCM settings alone. I found its alternative at the time (forgot its name) did too much collateral damage and wiped all my MCM settings, not just the mod I'm trying to clean up.
 

 

PS: If anyone intends to do what I just described... MAKE BACKUPS. And some saves are just beyond repair. I do this to my own save with the complete understanding that Skyrim is an unforgiving mistress and will screw you up the @$$ on a whim... live with it.

Sure I'm missing something blindingly obvious, but how do I remove linked rubber gloves?  I have a couple of rubber restraint keys, but when I struggle I get told I can't use them.  No NPCs seem to have the armbinder dialogue to unlink the gloves.  It's a new game that hasn't had a previous version of DCL installed, if that makes any difference.

 

Thanks!  Loving the new update, the rubber suit looks amazing, and I can't wait for the damsel quest to trigger.

Had some fun with the Damsel in Distress quest, but found a few problems.

 

Getting raped messes with the quest, probably since rapists want to remove your items and then put them back on afterwards. After getting raped by a guard (comment-based) I had a problem where I was able to remove the shackles after finding keys, but instead of disappearing, they stuck around, I didn't get the leather bonds stage, and I was unable to remove the gloves because I was apparently wearing arm irons (none were visible). This seems complicated to fix, but since it can be triggered by sleeping in the bed in the cage (night attacks) it's semi-problematic. Night attacks specifically break the quest, since those rapists want to add in their own devices, possibly replacing the ones you have.

 

Talking to NPCs about device removal also breaks the quest; they bypass the staging effect entirely, stripping you right down, if possible. This could probably be fixed in a similar way to the high-security items (sorry, I can't remove those), but maybe have a chance for something like "I found a strange key earlier, perhaps you're looking for this?" (and maybe you have to do something to receive the key?). Similarly, maybe you could buy keys off blacksmiths, to fix removal on their end.

Actually I was wondering this as well. From my tinkering with the console commands earlier I think you need something called like, an "arm padlock key" or something like that. I checked in the mcm settings though and didnt see a slider for one. I figured maybe it was based on the rubber keys so I set that to 100% and after looting all of whiterun still didn't run into one. I do like the idea of a set of gloves you can wear that can be tied together though. Now we just need some arm cuffs that work the same way, or some leg cuffs for that matter. :P

 

About the rubber gloves, as I understand it with my tinkering they actually just switch back and forth from an "unbound" set of gloves to an armbinder set of gloves. So if you're wearing the unbound ones you can wear them under an arm binder, and someone will still comment that your wearing them wrong and they need to be tight. Removing the armbinder thus also removes the gloves. Vice versa you can wear restrictive gloves under the armbinder set of gloves. I think it would help both of these situations if the rubber gloves blocked both armbinders and the glove slot, and it wouldnt hurt if we could unlock them with normal restraint keys like the steel shackles I think.

Thank for the update, the new questline is...... freaking hard :) You definitively don' t want the dragonborn to run freely in the wild :D

 

The number of key required in total is unbelievable :blink: but manageable if you have time (and aren't afraid of being tied up in the wild)

 

It take me like more than 2 hour on default setting to get free but I encounter some issue on the way:

- The sharp item even sort of breaking the damsel quest (it remove the rubber glove but leave the shackles stay without any effect other that cannot be remove).

- The quest stay on even if I remove every item, the debug button didn't change anything. I tried to setstage to 1000 but nothing happen

- Some item aren't place in a logical order or any realistic order (like ring gag, then ball gag or the 3 set of shackles in a row), but this is just my personnal opinion is doesn't change the fun of the quest (I wonder how my Character did'nt give after the 3rd set of hand restrains :rolleyes:  )

 

Anyway thank a lot, this mod stay in my top 3 of the DD family !

 

i encountered the same bug where i found a sharp object while i was trying to find a second key for the rubber gloves pad locks and it just automatically remived them like an armbinder and then after that i could not unlock the hood or anything else other then the arm and leg cuffs because it always thought my hands where bound. it really breaks the quest also useing the safe word doesnt seem to end the quest or remove anything so i had to load an old save. not a big deal for me because i was useing a throwaway save and character to test it out.

It doesn't matter if I reduce critical failure to very low percentages and base success to like 90%.

Your arousal, as well as the npc's arousal is also a factor. You can also try in Inn's and set the bonus very high there to see if it helps to triggers.

 

Critical failure only means you get punished sometimes when you try.

I have similar experience, although sometimes it works. Yesterday in about 30 attempts with 50+% chance I managed to get 1 solicitation and 2 device equips, all the others were "not in the mood". A good portion of these attempts were made in inns, so I had even better chance there. Oh and the one which succeeded had no anims.

 

I probably would need to make a clean DCL install, I might do it tonight.

loaded up tes5edit to update stuff...did my usual error checking pass...well, this is what I got. I've updated devious devices (assets, integration, expansion) as well as the zad framework/textures and the patch. so far all it looks like, is they changed the formids of a lot of things....

I have encountered a small issue with High Security Restraint event:

- I've lootet a cursed chest, triggered the High Security Event. Got anything equipped, so HS Belt, Bra, Boots, Slave Harness ... and a normal Rubber Suit, too.

- Now, this rubber suit was quite bugged. First, neither the harness, nor the suit, NOR the bra showed up on the char, though they were all shown as euipped by the marker in inventory.

- The script of the suit then was buggy, too, so no popups, when trying to unequip, but if you leave and enter inventory, the marker was back there, and you're unable to euqip armor

- after good ol'guy Gray-Beard removed the harness, the bra showed up, the suit still was invisible

- Then (because no money) I've fast traveled, after this I've tried the rubber suit: voila, a popup appeared and the suit showed up. Still had worn The HS Boots, Bra and Arm+Leg rings (forgot how they're called)

 

- Also, I've got some (really nasty) plugs in my inventory, but they were not inserted. I had to try them once, then the popup showed up "You slip them IN". And then they stayed there until the HARNESS was rmoved, though it was a SLAVE harness, afaik they shouldn't work as belt, should they? Still the HS harness

as for stuff not appearing on your character, that's device hider settings. as for the popup, that practically screams "high script load" to me...though not certain. as for the harness...that only works if the harness is scripted like a belt. yes, it's stupid, but that's how DD is set up to work. *shrugs*

I was going to a field bed yesterday and got an attack - Sudden the message appear that the attacker likes me that kind of helpless a decide to kept me o.o

 

My eyes was going big in this moment did not expect that :D.

Its a DDI thing now, harnesses indeed act sorta like a chastity belt and keep you from removing plugs. Even the non chastity ones... not sure if they prevent sex though. If you look at the harness's they even have uh, "slots" cut into it for that. Or so it looks like. So, makes sense to me.

I only asked, because I'm sure in V2.8.x only the "normal" harness acted as a belt. So Custom and Slave harnesses only were kind of "style accesoires". And I've got equipped a "High Security Slave Harness".

- Slave Harness -> no belt, but less chance to break free without key. At least I thought it's like that.

I thought they just changed all harness base scripts to act like that. Since the high security one pretty much acts just like a "custom" slave harness which also blocks plug removal I figure it makes sense. The normal harness's don't prevent wearing of clothes is all, but otherwise have the same harness effect of making plugs irremovable too.

 

I could of course be wrong, doesnt hurt to do some testing with it though if your familliar with some console commands. Just make a save before hand. :P

 

As far as stuff being invisible, I dunno. I couldnt actually figure out for the life of me which slot rubber suits get attached to. I "wanted" my suit to hide piercings and bras for instance but it wouldnt. So to you Id say you were lucky :P

hmm on my end the only thing that is left invisible are the armbinders. everything else is working wonderfully. however.. sigh looking at it. its is all still under development and constantly changing. so.. problems are bound to happen to everyone at some point. therefore cleaning can only serve as an temporary solution. and i really do not want to mess with the mods directly only saves. who knows what could break when it script heavy. know it all for a fact since my newly installed skyrim runs at stable 60fps. oh and just so you don't forget i am still expecting to see the hobble skirts in the future. really great idea imo

I use that also... but since you are supposed to uinstall DD cursed loot before cleaning, it obviously remove your MCM settings.

Or can it be used differently?

I just ran Tes5 error check and got exactly two errors (which I fixed). Not sure what's wrong at your end, but it's probably something else.

 

Had some fun with the Damsel in Distress quest, but found a few problems.

 

Getting raped messes with the quest, probably since rapists want to remove your items and then put them back on afterwards.

 

What mod triggered this scene? Defeat? Because my own scenes shouldn't remove a lot of items from you. They can remove only generic belts, and the Damsel quest belt isn't a generic item.

 i am still expecting to see the hobble skirts in the future. really great idea imo

 

I'd love a hobble skirt as well (that straightjacket/hobble skirt dress someone posted above is fantastic!)

But don't look at me for that. I can't do either 3D modelling or animations, and both of that would be required to make it. :D

Hey Kimy, how about removing items from "Damsel in distress" by a smith?

So, the normal "Can you help me with ma restraints?" >> "Can you help me with my chains?" dialogue freed the arms from the shackles. Still the shackles were shown as equipped and at the PC. Think, there is some keyword not well set, or is it possible to let remove the chain between the shackles?

Some ideas for the future. I was pondering how the characters pickpocket or lockpicking abilities can be added to this mod and got an idea.

 

- with a low pickpocket / lockpicking abilities the mod could work as it works now

- with higher values there could be a change that the player notices the cursed loot when opening a container. These could be some "low level" items like collars and cuffs.

- player will then have an option to close the container without taking anything from there

or

- add the device to his/her inventory and also take the other items from the container.

- if the player decides to take the items there will be an increased risk to get some "higher level" items added on her. Maybe something like the full slave set, full rubber suit set etc.
