kimy's test button is a very good prank. yeah. but i have an even better idea. why not make a new hardcore devious mod(should be quest oriented) and disguise it as something awesome and rewarding . so that as soon as players reach the end of their adventure. they could get bondaged in the biggest amount of devices yet. provided they have dd installed of course. would make for an amazing evil trap on the coming 1st of april.  ok now that's evil. but this is me speaking hipothetically.cause i don't think anyone is crazy enough to make it.

 

You know...that the test button is still in there could also just have been an oversight. Just...hypothetically. But I'd rather be labeled devious than forgetful, so let's just dismiss this theory.

Erm, Kimy: I think I've found another bug in your safeword (hell, I should deactivete this mod for the first ten levels, but it's too ... funny?):

It still has problems with corsets of followers. Anything else got unequipped rather well, but if the scripts finds a corset on a follwer, it seems to just jump to the next follower, leaving the corset and all other yet unequipped devices on the first follower.

 

Example:

Three(!) followers had corsets. One seems to luckily got it unequipped as last item, there just was the corset still equipped. One still had the normal slave boots and one also a belt (both also still the corset).

I rather liked the inclusion of the test button, Id have preferred it just be called a Distress Button though. I did a bit more testing with things now that I learnt of the test button and I have a cleaned save to try out the teleportation aspect. Quick question though first, are there multiple locations or do you show up near markarth every time? Just curiousness, since I appeared near there.

 

Anyway, things that jumped out at me this second time are the following, in no real order~ there seems to be about twice as many locks that need body keys than any other key. The piercings are both able to be lockpicked out of, I thought that seemed normal enough. However if you lockpick out of it the quest never completes, so you have to put them back on and use a body key to get out of them. Also I had two body keys when I undid the nipple piercings and it took both, not sure if that was by design or it just wanted to take all my keys. Maybe the piercings could take standard piercing tools to remove instead of body keys? Would ease the load of the body keys if they were instead simply normal piercings. Plus piercings aren't really the same as actual restraints, more like fetish jewelry. The leather bindings took a "looooong" time to find a random sharp event, and I still can't find a slider that controls it. I had to set the standard sharp event to 0% to make sure I didn't break the quest again. I think it would be much nicer if it just checked to see if you had a blade of some sort in your inventory when you try to escape, like a sword or dagger.

 

Otherwise Im not sure why but apparently DCL forgot to check if a container had been looted or not before and I accidentally found out I could just keep checking the same sack over and over again. Lastly I still think you shouldnt need 5 keys for the hood, I cant see how opening the eyes and mouth would be necessary to taking it off. Just one or two keys for that should be fine. Could make the blindfold and other gags take more than one key if you wanted to spread the keys around more. Also, yea, I still think the panel gag should definitely prevent the blindfold from being removed, it looks like it'd keep it on since the harness part is over top the blindfold and it'd make sense with the rest of the layered bondage idea. That and the ball gag should definitely be added before the ring gag. I did notice I couldnt pop the plug out of the panel gag to eat, though I guess it makes since if you had a ball shoved in there too.

 

Otherwise, if you had a chastity bra on the entire time under the suit I think it would be fair if the rubber suit applied the same penalty to archery, melee and blocking that the chastity bra normally gives... maybe even a higher one since you're also covered in a skin tight tough suit, would make sense to me anyway. And I still couldnt figure out how to get the suit to hide the nipple piercings, maybe it could have the same qualities of the nipple piercings as well and the nipple piercings "actually" appear at the same time the bra and others do? It still bugged me a lot seeing those floating piercings there and not being able to fix it.

 

Oh and there was some text issues, like the gloves being called boots on removal, and the anal plug saying it came out of your pussy the same as the vibrator copy pasted.

Does anyone else has problems with the "threesome demand" option when soliciting? I always get two people (the one asked + his/her friend) teleported on my position, but no sex animation starts. Rather easy money... ;)

 

On a different note, a small suggestion to sleep attacks: Nakedness/Aroused modifier should be different depending on your location. That is, in a dungeon it won't make much difference, bandits might just rape you either way. In a densely populated inn on the other hand...

Happen to me, when i set the "sex" option to a specific gender. When one side not can participate, the other one seems not in the mood as well :D

just tryed the hardcore quest i had to use freeme on the handcuffs because i dont know what key opens them but after using freeme only thing left on was the steel collar it wouldnt remove i tryed the give keys in mcm 3 times but it wouldnt remove it

Small request:

Could you modify the message a bit when you get high security restraints?

I had the following fun story now:

Because of the waving bug if you have a joke + gloves i set the options to only use armbinders till the patch arrives. Now i found a high security restraints armbinder and thought it is only a normal armbinder.

Took me a while to find out it is a high security one, i thought i got a bugged armbinder first :D

 

Since you can't access your inventory it would be nice if the cursed loot message tells you if it equips high security devices to avoid the confusion with armbinders.

So i updated to 4.4 now, to check it out. Sleep events still don't work for me btw. Dunno if it is the SkyRe Reproccer or what. Maybe someone else could try, to see if it's SkyRe or just me. 

 

Anyways, played through the Damsel in Distress quest 4 times to finally get it right. Lot of stuff that can go wrong with the Quest, which i'll get to.

Here are my observations and recommendations:

 

- When i triggered the event, I just got hogtied in front of the container I used. I did not get sent to some cage in a random place in Skyrim. Dunnoe if this is intentional or not, or if my game bugged again.

 

- The rubber suit you use in the quest needs to be reshaded. The burgundy-ish colour of it is nice, but you made it so dark it loses almost all texture. You just end up with an almost pure black featureless, depthless body.

 

- If you turn off "Hardcore effects" in the Devious Devices MCM, the quest becomes un-completable. You open inventory, and can activate your armbinder/glove/etc to struggle out of it, but the Shackles won't let you. You click it, and it just says you can't get out of it on your own. And since you HAVE to click them in non-hardcore mode, you can no longer remove the shackles.

 

- There is some conflict with your own mod actually. Specifically the "Sharp Object" event from "Escape Options." I had gotten the Armbinder off, and was looking for keys. The sharp item event procced and cut through both the shackles, leather bindings and Arm Irons, leaving me with just the gloves to struggle out of. But it became a problem later when i tried to take the gloves off. The Sharp Item cut off the Arm Irons and completely removed them, but didn't do it properly. The irons were not on my character, nor in my inventory, but whenever i tried to unlock the gloves it said i couldn't do it with the Arm Irons on. SO the Sharp Item removed the arm irons without removing the script for them, i assume.

 

Thanks to this, I had to reload and redo the quest 4 times to actually try it all the way through. Once because shackles bugged, once to turn up key frequency, once because Sharp Item screwed me, and one final time where I finished.

 

Kudos, however, for how you remove the leather bindings. I just stole a dagger, put it into a container, and re-activated the container, to get the leather bindings cut off. I first panicked a bit, since i thought at first that you NEEDED the "Sharp Item" event to get them off, but no. Very elegant. I'd actually suggest you work this somehow into the actual sharp item event. Maybe put in a chance multiplier if there actually is a bladed weapon in the container. 

Device Comments were pretty nice too. Would be nice if they could happen on just pass-by comments, and not just when you specifically talk to them.

Either of you have me a log of this, please? It's probably because of a lack of fitting SL animations, so I'd need write a workaround for this.

Nice update Kimy, really loved the DiD quest (even with the bugs which I won't mention since all I found have already been mentioned), however, no one has mentioned the other new event, slave rubber set (which I liked a lot too), in which i found a bug: when wearing the linked gloves CL events can equip restrictive gloves, giving some problems when you unlink the rubber gloves and the game tries to equip their unlinked version. Also, I once removed the rubber gloves and a random NPC adding more fun to my adventure decided to add back said gloves, is that a bug or should NPCs really be able to equip those in random events?

Another oddity with the slave rubber gloves: I don't know if Skyrim's RNG is sticking for me (again) but I just had one hell of a streak with my follower linking my gloves together. The problem is my follower was in an armbinder, I don't have the ability to get the gloves off, and I kind of need the follower to have the use of their hands. Effectively, the follower is flat out preventing me from getting the armbinder off of her.

 

Could someone:

-Get their follower in an armbinder

-Get themselves in a pair of slave rubber gloves

-Talk to their follower

and see if they're stuck at 100% chance to link gloves?

The high security one can be easily recognized by its different texture and escape dialog.

If you are still not sure, you can peek at your inventory through any container.

All of the DiD stuff use keys labeled either as head, body, hands or feet restraint keys. Thus the shackles are removed after finding a hand restraint key. The collar is removed with three different head restraint keys [or, might be body, I think its head] and so on. Im just guessing the give keys option isnt updated for the new DiD quest, and she forgot to add the steel collar to the free me menu. If you use the console to give yourself the keys I mentioned it should remove it, or just reload.

I had the same problem, you just need to clean your save. Check the last page or two if ya dont know how since people mentioned it already and gave instructions on how to clean saves. :)

-Talk to their follower

and see if they're stuck at 100% chance to link gloves?

 

 

I tested this just now, and my follower did indeed link my gloves the first time I talked to her. Subsequent conversations however allowed me to access the normal dialogs and trade with her to remove her armbinder, even though my gloves were now linked.

 

Additional tests seem to confirm that there is a 100% chance of your gloves being linked if a dialog is begun with a follower while wearing unlinked gloves. Not too big of an issue though as you should be able to talk to your follower again to get the armbinder off of her, then worry about getting yourself out of the gloves.

The 100% link chance is fixed. It wasn't technically a bug, since I really coded it that way. But from now on, there will be...*drumroll*... a MCM slider!

That must be the result of another mod or my install is broken in some way then, because I could access my follower's inventory through the normal "I need to trade some things with you" dialog and remove (and re-equip) her armbinder just fine.

Goofing around with the new device comments.  Some very nice, some quite silly.  Noticed NPCs talking about CD shop so headed there, and then things got surreal.  Apparently Master likes wearing shiny collars too, just never had the courage to wear hers in public?

 

No idea if it is possible, or if it would be best on your side or an add-on Vel's side, but the CD shop people may need a custom set of comments!
