I think there is a hardcore mitten check box in DD MCM, if you are concerning about the chance to drop item when wearing mitten.

I think we need to make custom blindfolds (ones that use headware slot to prevent wearing helmets) into normal ones, because they clash with hoods badly.

Ideally custom blindfolds should be removed completely, but they might be needed as compatibility thing for older mods. Thus I propose them to be made into essentially copies of normal blindfolds and warning given out to modders to avoid using them in new mods, similarly how it was made with twin plugs previously.

 @Kimy  Can I please add my signature against this motion? ?  The very notion of disabling Bondage Mittens is something that should permeate a world in which those who think like that should be made to wear them ...

I’m just asking for an option to add them to my list of stuff DCUR won’t add, much like the other options. I’m fine with virtually everything in the mod but the mittens infuriate me. Mostly due to a glitch where the pop up clearly says “you unlocked the mittens” and then they don’t come off at all. Which usually leaves down one key and forced to skip time another two hours to even attempt to get the sodding things off.

Yes, I have that ticked to disable. It doesn’t help that you will still drop your keys, and occasionally lose them permanently, more often than not. My major bugbear is when the game clearly tells me via pop up that I have unlocked the cuffs but then I don’t get the warning in the top left that they’ve actually come off and I’m still stuck in the damned things.

If that's what you mean, fine, and my humour might well have been misplaced, for which I apologise ?

 

I have exactly the same issue with those cosmetic non-functional arm and leg straps.  I have a passionate hatred for those, which might only be alleviated by @Kimy  solving both our issues,  So, if you'll bring the mittens, I'll bring the straps ... ?   LOL

I've run into a bit of an issue. Ran right past Chloe at the beginning of the game, came back for her later, but now when I talk to her she gives me the normal follower dialogue instead of the quest dialogue. she still has the quest marker over her but I cannot advance the quest due to her not triggering the quest dialogue, and everything I've tried to do to fix this seems to have only made it worse. Any suggestions on fixing this?

I may not remember this right, but i believe that is normal, that you are supposed to talk to her to hire her as a follower first, and once that happens, talk to her again, at which point you should get a new response choice, or maybe it will progress automatically.

Given that she is tied up and can't move, I would assume that there would be some sort of dialogue response that leads to untying her, but I tried recruiting her and now she just gives all of the normal follower dialogue, no other dialogue options.

Hmm, if she is still tied, then i think you need to get that key first, to release her, and then talk to her.

This is know issue, Chloe quest is most unstable and need do ASAP as you got it. If you ignore her a long time:

1) Lost dialogue

2) Lost corpse with quest item

3) Location is change back to normal cave before to quest.

 

In DCL 8.5 i have cure, but not sure if it works for DCL 9.0 as there is new quest line The Bound of Skyrim.

So you probably can complete the Chloe quest, but other quests will doomed.

The best solution is load a save where Chloe still works and complete this quest and other in this line what will be forced to you.

Second solution (i'm not recommend it and not show solution as it can destroy other quests) Just tell to you that you need reset Chloe quest due to console when you are outside the Helgen keep. Then reenter in keep and there should quest start from zero. If not - need stop it and start again outside to Helgen keep. Then reenter and quest will start from zero.

But it can destroy The bound in Skyrim line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Having an issue with the prison quest, when doing the food part I collect all the ingrediants talk to the supervisor then go to the cooking pot but for some reason I can't open it, not sure if it is an issue with devious cursed loot or something else, I've tried skipping it with commands but the quest only has a end stage and I can't get the objective to complete otherwise....

any ideas?

 

Also just noticed I can't even sit down which makes me think it may be an animation issue or a problem with the restraints...

Not a new bug but I am not sure if it was ever properly reported so thought I would mention it:

 

If for any reason a rape scene starts when you are protected by chastity and the message "your chastity devices protect you against being raped' (give or take, the message might be slightly different), it is a deadlock that doesn't release control back to the player, the rapists just stand there, and the only way out is loading a save (i.e, there is actually no way out).

 

As for reasons why such a rape would happen:

1. Player was vulnerable to rape for a while and DCL was slow to register that the player just got locked into full chastity, so a rape scene triggered before the script prevented it.

2. Player has a chastity key but the chastity belt is not removable (such as the belt of shame, or the tentacle parasite)

 

The above are certain cases. There are more cases in which I am not sure if they are true cases or just coincidences with number 1 actually being the cause

 

3. Full chastity requires gag (on MCM) and player has a restraint key but no chastity key. It theoretically means the rapists could strip the gag and rape, but that's not scripted so they don't do that.

4. Player has a chastity key but the rapists are creatures.

5. Player gets defeated and combat defeat (of DCL) chooses to rape her.

 

One other bug semi-related: If you are about to be raped and the 1st rapist is a female and they decide to bind you before the rape (armbinder + gag + boots), there is a high chance, though not 100%, that the rape will get canceled immediatly after the items are equipped, even if animations are available. This doesn't lead to a deadlock but if it happens I reload anyway because I fear some scripts get memory-leaked there

I reported it and even with script examples and cure. In my game i already test it and fix. Problem was in DCL filter - in one place gag counts as chastity in second not and rape failed. also after failed there no cleaning actors so those hang up.

You need to choose yourself. Many of mods are made only for LE, someone can be converted to SE by CAO, if not include dll - dll need recompile for SE version. Some mods contains specifics scripts what need specially converted to SE like netimerse and morphs. Simple example: in SE don't work butt and breast inflate by DCL as in DCL morphs values are for LE version.

The same is meshes and animations need reconvert for SE.

Also LE version Had good HDT physics mod as SE don't (HDT SMP have limited functionality) and many chains looks ugly.

SE version have problems with DCL and Sexlab works unity (freezes up papyrus when start sex scene)

 

LE version is more unstable and 32 bit version. Can be made more stable by install pack of mods. Also Whip and chain inn still works bad.

SE version is more stable and need a less crash issue installations and Whip and chain inn works good even without configure skse.ini file, because SE have 64 bit engine.

SE version have problems with some papyrus script even in vanilla Skyrim like command moveto - NPC and players stuck up in that process and if road to destination is too long - there can be pain in ..... to get player or NPC in position where quest continue.

 

Also there now is AE version what is incompatible with SE mods (in reality AE is the same of SE only C++ have nevest version, so need recomplie all dll to work on AE) SE version you can't get now as steam automatically update to AE and downgrade to SE is complicated.

I still blocks my SE update to AE.

 

So decide yourself what is better.

/I'm SE user and never seen LE, because don't know much about bugs and problems in LE/

I've been playing on LE since I got the game (before SE was a thing) and never felt the need to go through the hassle of trying to start modding SE from scratch to try to match my LE setup.  Plus now this AE thing makes it even more complicated.  I also never switched because some mods I use haven't been converted.  So, I'd suggest thinking hard before switching, and if you do decide to do SE, leave your LE setup intact so you can come back to it if you get frustrated.  :D

You need to be aware physics is completely different between the two. Anything with physics needs the physics devices and outfits rewritten from scratch. PE simply doesn't work in SE, and anything just converted without rewriting it for SMP will just be a static outfit.

 

For DD, due to the complexity of the chains, the physics chains do not work well in SE. If you need these to be perfect as opposed to just moving and in approximately right places, then stick with LE.

Lol the chain in SE is killing me to the point that I have to remove it from anything that may add it. But I play both LE and SE due to numerous DD mod that not support for both.

Dude, i've been trying lol. I got it basically working, and i've asked for tuning help for years. even brought it up with the FSMP devs since someone made a bug on it on the smp page.

 

If you can edit nifs or use outfit studio, you can delete the chain pieces to just leave the cuffs. that's what several of the no hdt options in the bodyslides do. prisoner chains no hdt swaps in the chain harness instead.
