Nice shot BTW. ?

Hey thanks. :D
I added ENB, so it was more for that, than a challenging locale. ;)

Here's another straightforward one. I haven't seen this very often myself. Sorry if it's dark.

I can see why you might think so, but no. Note the bridge in the foreground. There isn't any water near Rebels' Cairn.

Easy. Reachcliff Cave.

Dushnikh Yal is up the road. I go this way very often. You even have a dead goat in the same spot it always is in my games, because of the damn bear just around the corner.

Quite right. It is the "Secret Entrance" which is only available after going in through the "normal" entrance. Anyway, have an avocado. ?

Ah it was worth a shot, all things considered it isn't too far from the actual location so that's nice at least. The geography around Markarth always throws me off.

In order to take this picture I needed to be standing close to a certain location. What location am I standing close to?

The Western Watchtower?

No. Too easy, too obvious. Guess again.

If that is the answer to my riddle, than no.

Please tag or quote me if you attempt a guess, I don't check this thread otherwise.

Dustman's Cairn is the closest I can think of

No. But you did identify the landmarks correctly. Try again.

Greywater Tarn, or Clearing of the Ancient. NW of Bleakwind Basin. It is difficult because the Great Forest of Whiterun Hold is in my sight line.

I have no idea what those places are. If those are mods, there are no modded locations in this picture. No CC content as well for that matter.

Tip: the location this picture was taken next to is as vanilla as they come. Yes, it is a location with its own map marker.

Guess again.

They both are vanilla as far as I know, have the Spriggan marker. That's OK, I was probably incorrect anyway.

They're not. The only place with "grove" marker in the entire Whiterun Hold is Greenspring Hollow. The only place that has a name "Clearing" in the entire Skyrim is located in the Rift.

You speak about forests, but vanilla Whiterun Hold is allmost all tundra. No forests.

Based on the landmarks, could it be the Sleeping Tree Camp, or Gjukar's Monument?

No. I will post a tip here, that if that was true, Whiterun would not be visible. There's either a big mountain or a big fort that obscures the view from each of the respective locations. No forts in my picture and the mountains are in the background, not foreground.

Guess again.
