Just in case anyone else has run into the problem with Estrus crashing on startup, I found this solution on the Estrus forum which worked for me:

Open EstrusForSkyrimNG.ini and change GET_FOLLOWER_FROM_OTHER_MOD to OFF

This has been a known issue ever since this mod updated to 1.6

Would you mind posting your files? Would love to do this myself but don't really know where to start, having something to work off of would be nice. Running UBE and using skeleton nodes to scale body parts looks extremely cursed.

Basically, I replaced several XPMSELib functions with NiOverride functions, which allow you to use the slider names from bodyslide/racemenu rather than deal with nodes. Note that unlike nodes, most morphs default-setting is 0 and not 1, and they can go negative.

 

(Also note that some mods change the names of the sliders, in which case they should have some "dictionary file" showing what name translates to what on Nioverride)

Which mod source scripts are needed to compile estrus scripts btw? I have racemenu, skse, creation kit, FNIS, FNIS creatures, MCM helper, SLA scripts installed and I cant compile any estrus script, wonder what I'm missing.

There are some nioverride files that I think you get from the extra file of racemenu or something, but I wouldn't have a proper list.

 

In general, the easiest thing to do when trying to compile a script and getting such issues is to read the error message, see which file is missing, and google that file name in particular. Keep finding these files until the error message stops appearing. This is what I do. I never bothered preparing my dependencies in advance. It is only a one-time effort anyway

That's what I've been doing, at this point not sure what error messages like this mean.

There's a pretty massive page of similar messages, I have SLA's source so not sure why its throwing errors about kfSLAExposure, dunno about the rest.

I'll ask here too. So I have an issue with devious devices and this mod, more specifically this mod. When I am attacked and get impregnated, using certain devious devices like arm binders or straitjackets causes a glitch in the animations where the arms go behind the back and are the hands are invisible. I asked on the DD thread and was able to troubleshoot it, to this mod. Here is a video that shows the problem. Is there anyway to get these two mods working together?

@Bane Master I have what I think (hope) is a small feature request. I don't know how complicated something like this would be, but is there any chance of getting a potion to accelerate the eggs toward birthing? My question was inspired by Egg Factory's speed curse potion, and SL Parasites cures when playing around with those mods. I liked the flexibility that the ability to remove the effects in the game gave, instead of debug options in case of trouble (and it makes a good gold sink), and so was hoping for something similar with EC+ but I'm not sure if the way the code was written for EC+ made that complicated or not.

It's certainly feasible but EC is pretty much in maintain mode these days - if I do any work on the mod I'll keep it in mind

This mod is about getting attacked by Chaurus spit attacks, not by harvesting eggs (that's a different mod).

 

As for the MCM, I think it is programmed to load only on the second load game. So when you first load a save after installing this mod - make a new save, then load that one

IDK if it is this mod, or estrus itself, but when I use these 2 mods I experience random freezes, generally on a new area load - not crashes - freezes. I have to get into task manager to close the game, and I don't get crash logs. Nothing relevant in papyrus specifically pointing to these mods but if i remove them the issue goes away. Hoping this is known and there is a fix that i just cant find in the thread.

I cannot get the tentacle attack to work at all, ive installed the exact requirements for se that the page says (estrusforskyrim se vr 2.45) and still nothing happens. Mcm loads, animations install and register, i can alter the settings but the tentacle attack on chaurus spit just doenst work even if i set it too 100%. I dont understand why its not working are there any common solutions that will help me?

Make sure you enabled/registered the Chaurus Estrus animations in the MCM.  And make sure you ran FNIS.

ive done both... every single time ive re installed to try again. Im on almost a dozen attempts at this point. Im at a total loss i cant get it to work with the requirements installed or the newer version of estrus. Everything registers fine but the spit attack just doesnt work at all.

omg okay so i got it to work finally after making new profile after disabling all my sexlab mods...  but i have no idea which are not compatible with chaurus+? Are there any known mods that conflict with it I see none at all on the mod page?

DCL, Devious Chests, Sexlab Parasites, FMEA are definitely compatible with EC.   Beyond that, I don't know.

ok so i tested every single thing i had installed and nothing stopped it from working now...? Even though i have the same exact mods active as i did before when i couldnt even get it to work once on a completely new game. Im just going to play with the new profile and hope it doesnt break somehow ;_;

Was working completely fine, i was able to activate every mod then it just randomly stopped working entirely again and now wont even work on new install i dont understand why

OKAY I have it once again working I had to make sure that the estrus esp and chaurus were the very last plugins in my list, not sure if this will lead to problems with other mods but so far this makes it work prefectly
