winny257 Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I liked both games (DAO and DA II), me is shit all the same what others say and think! for me they were playing better than a heap of other RPG's, I will not mention any names! for me they were significant, above all they had a good history with sense, not as brainless as most games. I personally am looking forward to DAI and nobody can make me so bad.
SquallPT Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Started to play Origins to make a nice save for Inquisition. Haven't played this game in ages, and started to think why the hell did i spare Loghain ? He left Cailan and Duncan to die ! mi dumb. Oh and Arl Howe is going to get some too The conversations options are very funny because there is the " good " choice, the " bad " choice, the " don't care " neutral choice and the " douche bag " choice Oh and took me 10 minutes of conversations with Morrigan, to start the kisses. Love that woman, is the total opposite of me. i'll go try to save everyone, she wants to kill and burn everyone. Then she disapproves and i give her gifts and it's all OK
Chaos63 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Do Thedas a favor and recruit Loghain. He's the most capable man in the province. source: Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne
Saeros Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 @Papajack55 You have mistyped your true intention was to write: Modders get Ready! The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Release date 24 February 2015 right? S.
SquallPT Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Do Thedas a favor and recruit Loghain. He's the most capable man in the province. source: Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne Yeah probably will spare him, depending on my mood Will try to spare Zevran too

youngfool Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 I hope this game can deliever a more comprehensive romance system, that will get all the modders busy
winny257 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 found a new video, I am more and more convinced of this game!
winny257 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 new insights, what is with "Morrigan's baby"? then look here again. DA Talk: Old God Baby, Morrigan and Viewer comments on Dragon
...0... Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 720p HD wtf? Obvious console game where is the pause during combat and menus place your characters in team like in true PC game WTF with these button pushing? I don't have any believe in this one prolly badly ported to PC(should never been a console game in first place(baldurs gate and even origin) and more and more i watch these videos i don't think it will be even close to DA:O it will be catered towards young audiance and consoles and not baldurs gate or DA:O. So i stay on fence untill its budget game(doub i ever play it anyway it's EA and need origin to play which i never will) EA hope to make 1 billion revenous in DLC this year so result...you prolly get half the game for 50 euro's and rest if you want you buy on launch day 30-40 euro's more to get the complete game(Destiny anyone or for that matter most games these days)shadow of mordor) and i refuse always have sinds Oblivion in 2006 and Bioshock 1 did in 2007. Fuck the money grabbers. Can't believe people steal from there own wallets lol. But have fun don't mind me
jxm Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Can't believe people steal from there own wallets lol. But have fun don't mind me Yep, I have to admit: I am hit by the hype-train at the moment and will probably buy the game right after release, and if they are any good: DLC why not. I also realized: I give a shit if its more "consoley" or not. If I want a pure PC-RPG I'll play Divinity (if it ever manages to get me hooked up to its world and story again...) or Pillars of Eternity (hopefully the game I want it to be). Dragon Age? It still has an intriguing world and setup. And at the moment I play Dragon age II again. And guess what? I am having a lot of fun, despite its short-comings. But those have mostly to do with reused enviroments and sometimes lazy fetch-quests, and the battles are a bit too over-the-top. But so far none of that seems to be the case with DA3. Will it be like DAO? No, and I never expected this...will it be a better version of DA2 ? Hopefully, and it looks like that...and I don't mind at all, because DA2 was far less bad as it was made up to be... So I'll happily throw my money and my soul at the greedy company-fuckups at EA. I mean, I don't smoke and barely drink, so I can burn my money this way...

I mean, I don't smoke and barely drink, so I can burn my money this way... This purely my take on the whole gaming scene lately and i talk with my wallet that's all. If you have fun then it's well spent and go for it. But why i replyed like that was many buying all these over hyped games pay with DLC these days sometimes over 70 euros and when its again dissapointed they start whining all over the internet complaining how they got screwed again by EA or others for that matter. Why they keep buying and then keep crying like little spoiled child if it's again a crap they bought? But it's your money your life and im not here to dictate what you should do i just show my take on the whole AAA DLC EARLY ACCES PRE ALPHA or many times very short and boring repeative games(Destiny). I'm btw convince in couple of years this whole money grabbing business will be over because gamers will see like me and don't wanne be bull shitted and robbed again by company's like EA who also ruined a lot franchise and game developing house because there only concern is money not gamers giving them good games. I must also confess over my dead body before i ever use origin from EA(also refuse Ubisoft Uplay for same reason) i already don't realy like steam. Have fun with DA:I hope it's worth your money, i mean that

Well, you won't see me buy an EA-Game like DAI and then complain about it. Why? Because I know what I am doing, and every game bought is a risk, no matter if the company is with EA or not. And maybe I am more cynical than you, but...I sincerely doubt this trend will ever be over in the near future...you think gamers will be fed up? I say gamers don't care in the majority anymore, especially the "new" ones coming of age every year that don't know any better and therefore have no reasons to complain. Mayne DLCs will be a little less annyoing, but they won't go away...
Kpnut Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 I refuse to board the hype train for this game, purely because of EA. How do we know they're not going to fuck it up? DA:O was great and I enjoyed DA2 well enough (if only because I found funny Hawke somewhat amusing) but the general quality of Bioware games has been going downhill since ME2, I just don't trust a game developer under EA to deliver quality anymore.
jxm Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 For me its simple: I want more Dragon Age, because its still the best Fantasy-World created in recent time. Fuck it up? Well, the biggest fuck-up of ME was mostly the ending, which made a travesty out of the main char and story we followed for many years. That won't happen with Dragon Age, as every game is more or less stand alone. But maybe its only my desire to finally play a game again where I care about what's going on ... which means likeable characters (and Bioware never dissapointed here so far) and generally an interesting story. Will it be consoley to play? I guess so, but I don't care. Didn't care much in DA2, didn't care much in Skyrim or Oblivion about the UI and such things. Yet if we have a thread like this one in the futire about ME4 ... well than you will probably see my unforgiving side ...
...0... Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Ok i've hearing for first time because this video the tactical options like in Origin will be limited in the game but main focus as in DA2 will be HEAVY combat. Well this the mother of all gamebreakers for me, i already suspected this but this game will absolutly not be like DA:Origin. This video makes that clear. I knew they would screw this game and never go back to Origin. This video revealed it for me. My wallet stay close EA prolly told new devs we want ACTION not the Baldur gate style or the tactical DA:Origin the new generation want ACTION. Ahhh...Grrr... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4Nr0tKgKpU I knew it
Contessa Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 DA:I uses the Frostbite 2 engine so don't get too excited about modding for this game. Bioware seems to hate modders apparently.
...0... Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 DA:I uses the Frostbite 2 engine so don't get too excited about modding for this game. Bioware seems to hate modders apparently. There will be very limited modding and i think it's EA who also influence the new Bioware not to aloud modders change the game to much. You can say what you want but if there is one think Bethesda won't limit or bothered with meaning let the modders free what to do with Elder Scrolls is the modding. Even when also CK is not that perfect lets face it we can make almost anything for Skyrim. Hope this time The Witcher 3 will be modded a lot more but as with Dragon Age The Witcher is also limited. Elder Scroll i love so much because of modding and its huge community. Bioware-CDProject could learn a lot from Bethesda and there policy to wards modding.
jxm Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Hawke? Hmm...That is both kinda cool but also kinda ... tricky. I wonder/hope if we can actually somehow modify her appearance? Because there was one thing I hated with DA2 ... and that's Default Hawke, both male and female. I am quite excited what options we have with the Dragon Age Keep ... which at least sounds like a pretty awesome idea to avoid all the fuss with savegame-imports. Maybe I'll be able to customize my Hawke there (and make sure Alistair is still married to my Warden...) And combat? I played BG1 and 2, and Icewind Dale 1 + 2 ... I have no problems with less focus on this whole "tactical View"-fetish with some people. DA2 had issues, but at least playing a mage in that game, or a rogue, still had the battles kinda fun. And if DA3 only stops enemies dropping out of the air I'll be fine...A triple A game like that should give me big splssions and action like a Hollywood-Blockbuster. For little indie-dramas that take 4 hours we have Kickstarter...and hopefully Pillars of Eternity...
...0... Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Majority of Dragon Age Origin fans don't like DA2 and it's rediculous action blockbuster combat, that's why it failed so hard, bringing it back in DA3 maybe bit less i doub many Origin fans will like it. But it's no use argue about it you eather like it or not. But hey i leave it to you new generation of players i just don't buy the game and where all happy. I'll wait for TW3 which i already bought on gog.com.
jxm Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I can count myself to a new generation of players? Hmm...suddenly I don't feel that old anymore, thank you! Nevertheless I will judge DA3 when its out and as a game, not on business practices, ideologies and assumptions made on short youtube vids. If it sucks then, so be it. But I doubt it, yet what I fully expect and can't wait for is the internet fury that will be unleashed after release. Certain people will ridicule Bioware and shred DAI to pieces no matter what... And then the comparisons between DAI and Witcher 3 will rage all across the net. Oh the glory that will be to experience The constant CD-Project worship, the Bioware/EA bashing. The nostalgia-filled rage against anything new, the fanboys of all sides going at their throats...yes, some people like me just want to see the internet burn Oh mental note to self: Still have to buy Geralt-Saga ... need more infos on Ciri before meeting here...
Kain82 Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I'm an old school gamer who has played the big 3 crpg's of all time. Baldur's Gate 2, Fallout 1 and Planescape Torment. But aside from all that I still am eagerly awaiting DA:I's release, can't wait to play as the Inquisitor and romance Cassandra. As for Witcher 3 I own the previous 2 and think those games are just meh. I never got into Geralts character and don't see what the hype is about, but that's just my opinion of course. So in closing I eagerly await Dragon Age: Inquisition.

I remember very well in The Witcher 2, it was not intoxicating, only after the revision and republication after it was reasonably good. me is "give a damn" what others say about DAI, I'm looking forward to this game.
