Submit + Devious Devices Progression DAYMOYL Mod

I appreciate that most ppl may be running around Riverwood like legless, decapitated chickens, trying to put their heads and feet back on after they were severed by the scythe that was/is Framework 1.5x  :P -

 

...........(please note that that is meant at worst as merely, perhaps, some misplaced humour  :sleepy:  , and certainly no offence is intended at all to the author(s) of that, as I certainly wouldn't profess to have the technical skill to start to produce what have have been, and will be again, the masterpieces that are the various versions of the general Framework, the latest of which I really look forward to being able to use when it, and dependent mods, have all been stabilised)...........

 

- but is anyone able to detach themselves enough to tell me if they have ever found any combination of the various Submit and Submit+Priogression mods that actually do basically work?

 

I'm not looking for the 'perfect' solution.  I seem to remember that one possibly did most things OKish, but I am getting to be as old and senile as be incapable of remembering what combination it was :-/ .  It might not have been perfect in its progression through all the 10 steps in which one could bound up to the heights of Total Restriction, but at least it didn't resurrect the dead into near presence, nor allow one's present attackers to apply some vicarious restraint on one's companion when they were holed up somewhere many thousands of paces distant :shy:

 

Any help on that would be most welcome :idea:

 

Oh, and, MixedupJim, please, please, please don't give up on this, but just keep on twiddling away until all the knotty problems do end up in the right place :blush: .  It's a great add on to the original

I am using the latest version 1.53c and as I said it works fine with hardcore escape and multiple assaults turned off, as I am unsure which one is actually causing the problem you can test it for yourself to see.

 

I don't believe MixedupJim is giving up but I can imagine that it can get rather boring poking and prodding through the code to get it to work correctly so if anything he is taking a break.

The "Skittering Dead Spider" (totally a band name, probably a mix between metal and dubstep) is hilarious. Thanks for the advice, I can try it with the multiple assaults and that other setting off.

Test it with a new game with fresh install: 1) fall from cliff ... never die 2) lost against a wolf work great some time later agains a daugr and my health is refill no rape, no boundage. Hope this help to debug.

posible solution: Found this in the submit29mar14 thread:

 

"Found a bug with the deathproof option. It persists even after the mod is uninstalled, making it so you never die, getting stuck in the knocked down stance whenever you run out of HP. Making sure you have the option set to off before you uninstall prevents any problems."

 

this new submit don't have that flag, but somehow is active.

So I uninstalled it, put it back in again, and it worked!

 

Well, for a while.  If you think the 'Skittering Dead Spider' was hilarious, you should see the excuse your little darling has for having a headache when a whole load of dead dragon bones crashes down on top of them!  The complete lunatic skeleton from 'Night in the Museum' turned up.  

 

I love this mod.  I shall try again...

I don't know if this the right place exactly but as the nature of the suggestion is sort of  progression related and definitely involves devious devices I thought I could start from here...

Is it possible to get 'random' harmful enchantments on restraints? I mean sure, gag, armbinder and blindfold for example do definitely impair your ability to do things but would it be possible to get progressively nastier versions of cuffs etc? Penalties to magica, stamina and pretty much any skill.  Would be nice to somehow extend the level of... desperation.

 

On a completely unrelated note I would also love to see a set of slave skills but I am no modder (yet anyway) and haven't even investigated the limitations of Skyrim's engine. It is obvious though that it does have it's limitations. In any event I just love how many great mods there are available here on this site :)

Its random assaults only has to be toggled OFF and you have to have had it off before any devices or scenes were played out by this mod.

Its pretty simple to add effects on weapons/armor you can add negative effects yourself through the CK.

I have a problem and maybe someone could help me.

The problem is that when my character is submitting her clothes are automaticly unequipped, i have unchecked the numbers in sexlab.

But it doesn't solve anything.

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been around much recently...real life took over for a bit :)

 

Hopefully I'll be back making some regular updates and trying to sort out these rather annoying bugs.

 

It looks like there may be some issues with using the HardCore Escape Mode and the Allow Random Assault options. I run with both of those off and it seems to work for me from a fresh install and new character. The hardcore escape should definitely be turned off as it will definitely cause problems with the escape system, plus, because you can end up bound to an object it really doesn't make sense to escape from that and then find your hands are still tied behind your back!

 

The random assault quite possible prevents the flushing of your attackers. I added some extra code so that each time you are knocked down in combat it would flush your previous attackers from memory. This should stop the dead attackers coming back to life. However, I suspect the multiple assault setting will trigger before any of my code causing dead attackers to rise again orpossibly it stores them elsewhere and I just haven't got that far in to the code. Anyway, the easy fix is to switch this off.

 

The one downside of the way the mod is set up currently is that you can't actually die as the bleed out now always restores you to full health. If there is no-one to submit to then you may find yourself stuck in the bleed out state...jumping should fix it.

 

I'll have to add these to the OP so they don't get buried :)

The characters clothes should be unequipped automatically, and it is SexLab that determines which items are removed, so I'm not quite sure what you are trying to achieve.

 

One thing is you have Submit 29Mar14 in your addon list. This is not needed (and best removed) if you are using the latest version of this mod. Take a look at the OP for instructions on how best to remove and re-install.

Having harmful enchantments for the various devices is something I have thought about. The leg/arm cuffs are crying out for some kind of downside to them as well as the collar. I think everything else causes enough problems on their own, well....for me anyway :)

 

I had to load from a previous save game before the submit process to fix this but I tried out turning off both hardcore escape and multiple assault I think its called at it seems to be working fine.

 

On a completely unrelated note MixedupJim when are you going to get a icon to represent this mod?

For me, from a clean install of Skyrim with the latest SexLab and all dependencies I can get this mod working correctly. I think the trick is to make sure Hardcore Escape is OFF and Random Assaults is OFF

 

Not giving up on it yet :)

Can someone tell me where to find this Devious Expansion mod that is required to get this mod to work, I look thru every mod on here and can not find any mod called Devious Expansion.

Not sure if I'm the only one who's noticed this, but the dialogue from your captors ("I like them tied up") when you're getting devices placed on you seems to get "overwritten" in-game by the captor's random banter lines (bitching about beer, going to college, etc.) if you have "General Subtitles" turned on. Rather minor thing, but it is slightly annoying to not see the good writing of the mod author because the subtitles for the captor bragging about his card skills stay on screen for too long.

 

Also I'm not getting the "sound effects and bondage orgasms! xwink.png.pagespeed.ic.EQjgXw8CzK.png" I was promised, only the equip/de-equip noises, but that's another minor thing which I'm going to blame on mods not being fully complete and behaving with each other.

 

Now I just wish there was a mod to have a bondage wedding.. Borgakh the Steel-Heart will be my lesbian partner in crime (also partner in leather+metal) for the rest of our lives!

I then tried loading after I killed the Dragon (I did not submit to it), and using disable on it, It no longer spawns the dragon but still tries to and after the knockdown animation I just get back up again. Bugger. Removing the mod and then reinstalling it makes it work fine again, though not sure if teleporting will happen again after first submit progression is finished.

I don't think Devious Devices are compatible with Sexlab 1.52 or beyond I believe if you want to use those mods you have to stick with 1.39b as I've learned from both Zaz and the mod author for DD he said he'd try to get to it by the end of this next week.

I believe you can although I am not quite sure how to do it, the icon is just a question mark as is.

I haven't had any problems on my end after I turned it off :/ but this is a know issue you'll probably have to wait until MixedUpJim has time to prod around the code some more to fix this issue.

Frost trolls aren't flagged as a valid creature for Submit in this version, probably a side-effect of rolling back to 04JAN14. If you check _slsubmitquest, there's a missing property FrostTroll which exists in later versions.

There is a new update for the original submit, maybe this version fixes some of the player still in combat issues, at least the changelog mentions changes in this area. Haven't tested it yet since i am finally trying to play the game through once before starting it over for checking new mods :D.
