prideslayer Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 iirc the check is done by looking at the used skeleton. So if an unknown/not supported skeleton is used nothing will happen. I stated in another thread, the check is NOT done using the skeleton. Sexout determines if it can play an animation for a creature based on a bunch of formlists in sexout, along with an NX_IsInList check. To add support for creatures not in vanilla FONV, you need to create an ESP with a script that adds the creatures to the correct list. If the list doesn't exist because the creature type is wholly new and not just a "different" dog, there's not a good way to do this right now. It requires a new formlist in sexout (easy), a standalone ESP with a script that adds the creatures to the right list (easy), animations created (difficult), and the random picker script within sexout changed to use the new animations and list (easy).
RitualClarity Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 So create the animations ( or work with someone that can) Create a formlist for your creature (perhaps refer to Pride for acceptable naming protocol etc) Hell one of the main modder here could even help with that. create the script in the esp (I believe it is based off the other scripts that call the animation.. correct?) I believe there are some examples here or go to the scripting thread for assistance there. Inform Pride you are ready for release, give him formlist name and other needed info. Wait until random picker and new formlist to been added to Sexout. Release the mod Play with your new animations/creatures etc. In reality the work needed to be done by the actual modder is create the animations (or work with someone that can help with them) Create an acceptable formlist ( including name etc) Inform Pride and give info for inclusion to Sexout. create a download thread for the new mod. Answer users questions. Hope that is right..
prideslayer Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Er... no I need to make the list, and modify the sexout random picker to use it. The list and script changes must be in the sexout ESM. I could make it buildref, but I'm not going to open that door and end up having to ismodloaded/buildref for numerous creature supporting mods. If there is enough interest, then I can make some UDF that takes another UDF and a list as a parameter.. to do something like "if ref.NX_IsInList YourList ... call yourUDF" but nobody has even come near the point that they could use such a thing.
RitualClarity Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 .. Cool. Well that means even less work for the modder to create any additional support for other creatures etc. So really all someone has to do is create animations for added content, let you know and wait for the additions, then build the mod they desire to access those new animations by using standard scripts to reference the formalist etc. Of course getting the animations working is completely a different story. I managed to crash the program the first time I even loaded the program
Sashahall935 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 So this has probably been posted, but I can't find it anywhere. Right so I've installed it and all, it's working all fine and dandy. Problem is - How the hell do I get my character to do anything? I noticed the slavery mod comes with it, so what actually are the controls for it? I found myself getting into random fights with male npcs to see if they'll do anything to me, but nothing? Like, is there a mystical button to do everything?
zippy57 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 It's just a framework, it doesn't do anything on its own. If you want something that actually uses it we have an entire download section for that.

Try Sex Assult, (fighting rape etc), Sexkey to test the Sexout. Press a key and instant sex with any NPC etc that is covered with Sexout and various conversation mods like SexoutSex, Howabout, etc. Add one or two test and see if you like it then add another and test. Reason it can get confusing which mod is doing which to your character if you don't. This way you can see what conversations and conditions are added and make an informed decision if you like that mod or not. This will take a bit more time but in the end you will be fully informed on what is out here and what you like and can then customize the mods list for that play through you desire, as well as communicate to the modders and members better.

They need to: 1. Send me the animations. 2. Tell me the creature name. 3. Wait for me to add the new formlist(if needed), the animations, and modify the random picker. 4. Create an ESP that adds the creatures to the formlist, via a script (NOT via the geck!!)
RitualClarity Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 So for the person that wanted to add a few creatures from other mods that aren't covered in Sexout currently it is pretty simple technically. The only real hard part would be the animations. The scripts you mention if I am correct are similar to the scripts used to call other sex animations in Sexout. Scripts that someone can view by viewing the work others have in their esps. I am starting to understand this "modding" thing... . Now I just have to start getting off my green ass and actually do something, actually anything I have finally gotten around to fix those memory issues and clean install and such. Now just have to set up the game and tools and start taking mods apart to see how they *tick*.. I pretty much have gone as far understanding modding without actually modding..

CyborgNinja Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Having the strangest thing happen. Whenever sex starts out, the characters disappear. At first I had no clue where they were going. Turns out, they teleport to the outside of the playable area. Any ideas on whats going on?
prideslayer Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I have three ideas. I hope you can follow along with all three. #1: Use the damn search function. #2: Follow the instructions in the first post for installing SexoutNG and its requirements. #3: Your NVSE and/or NX versions are too old.

Jesus, sometimes I don't know if the Nexus community is more rude than the LoversLab one. But hell, at least you bothered to reply, even if you were a prick about it. #1: I did. Otherwise, I wouldn't be asking. #2: I did. I've been using mods with Bethesda games long enough to know that you have to follow instructions down to the letter. #3: They are. Found out the problem, though. Somewhere in the unzipping process for an external mod, a folder ended up where it shouldn't be. Dropped in in the right directory, and other than a major texture issue, its up and running now. Hopefully this helps someone down the line.

I reserve the right to be a prick to people who: - Don't read instructions. - Don't follow instructions. - Shit on the download thread with tech support questions. - Shit on the download thread with tech support questions that provide next to no detail. And so on. You want a nicer response next time? Make a nicer post. You know, one useful, in it's own topic, in the support forum, with all the details that the stickies there request you provide. Who's being a prick again?
Arcturus7777 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Ok, I am having problems with animations not starting at all, and believe something strange happened with the sexoutcrowdsb. I believe this because npcs are clapping and cheering while I am walking around, and on the toon that this is happening to the animations will not start. Btw this is a new toon that just walked out of the doctors house. Also, I am having problems that if I install sexout soliciting, Colto ergo sum, or sexout drugs, my animations start, but the toon just stands there after stripping while the sounds play. Anyone else having similar problems?
RitualClarity Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Make sure all your mods are current Follow, and perhaps even repeat the tutorial by Brucewayne. (you can find the link in the sig) You likely made a mistake somewhere along the instillation process. Review and perhaps even repeat the instructions for the tutorial and try again. Might be an error with the NVSE, NVSE extender ( wrong version).
Arcturus7777 Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 when I uninstalled sexoutcrowdsb the problem with no animation starting stopped, I believe this to be because the idles in crowds were blocking the sexoutng animations with that npc. I have the correct nvse and extended nvse. I just installed the game and began running it this month. Also I did the getnvseversion, and the nx getversion. 4 and 15.
Arcturus7777 Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 I got everything working, animation wise, got rid of NCr hard time and installed NCr cf sexout version. I played thru the prison, and most the quests on the way to new Vegas. Then at the gunners shack, the animations stopped working. They do not start at all, this can not be a how it is installed problem, as it was working, various animations have played over 400 times. The only thing new is E DE is gone and I now have Veronica. So that msex Veronica mod is being used. Going bac to old saves, before Veronica, yields same results, also loading a different toon yields same results. Which are you do the dialog and nothing happens the npc will go on immediately with whatever they were doing. If you want to see my load order I can upload it when I get back to my computer. Any ideas. Is the a reset for the animations? Or a way to reset them?
Odessa Posted November 17, 2014 Author Posted November 17, 2014 Sexout saves information to your savegame, so can potentially get broken in one. Try starting a new game or load a game when you never had sexout installed before, and if it still doesn't work then it must be a problem at your end.

Ok, I got a save with another toon, my guy toon to work. I started a new female character and the animations worked. I tried, loading the broken toon from the toon that was working and it did not work. even loaded saves from way back where I knew the animations were working, but they do not work now. I tried a save cleaner from nexus, and that did not help. It is only this one toon now not working. I think there is an animation that did not complete, is the a way to clear the animations?
RitualClarity Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 If I may Arcturus777 It has been my experience that even if you do fix the current problem with the save some other one will crop up. When a save becomes corrupted as is likely in your case as simple cleaner did not work. Nothing I know of will. The data in that save that is critical for the game to continue. Miss a piece or give the wrong data/inaccurate data and the game will crash and potentially corrupt your current games. It sucks but that is the way it usually is. Keep in mind that the game isn't all that stable to begin with as it is.
