prideslayer Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 After updating from 2.8.89, the game crashes on me when trying to talk to any NPC, even ones you wouldn't need to use smalltalk or smallertalk for. Any ideas? I don't know what mod is doing this to you guys, or why updating may have triggered it, but conversations haven't been touched in this version of sexout or any other. I tested with TTW, TTW overhaul, Tryouts, Sewerslave, Smallertalk, and a dozen or so other mods active and all is working fine. You'll need to follow normal troubleshooting procedure (start disabling mods) and figure out which mod is causing the issue.

When it was still in beta and the core was still 2.8.89, I tried out the 2.8.90 beta esm and had the same problem. Switching back to 2.8.89 made everything work fine...
prideslayer Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 Well you're going to need to narrow down which mod sexout is conflicting with. Also if you had the problem with the beta, why didn't you report it then? That's the point of the beta -- to catch bugs before it goes to release.

If you "gone through and tested each mod individually" you should have seen which mod was causing the problem. That was alot of work to do to still not know which one is causing the problem. If you want to figure this out go back and go through them again individually and find the one that triggers this effect then make sure your copy isn't corrupted and your save is clean. Then you can report the problem to the author of the mod that is having the problem. might be something done strange or needs updating. That is what I do and most of the time... I find out it is my fault..
KainsChylde Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Ever since updating to the latest version, any time I try to initiate sex via Sexout Sex, Sexout Willow Patch, or Sexout Rapist I complete the dialogue and nothing happens. I've searched both my and my companions inventories and I have no "Do Not Buy Or Take" tokens, or anything other than Rapist enthrallment tokens in anyones possession. I got what I could of the console spam in the attached screen shots, but I'm sure there's more. What's the command for dumping console spam to a text file?

In these screenshots I haven't attempted sex, I haven't spoken to anyone, I haven't even moved. Ok, I rotated so that I'm now facing Veronica instead of Willow, but I took no steps
prideslayer Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 There was a bug reported a few days ago, maybe in the beta thread, that was similar. That user reported that a clean save without SexoutSex fixed the issue, and enabling it afterwards allowed it to work. I'll take a look at the script it's complaining about just in case.
prideslayer Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Ah that sexout error is in the dialog callback quest script, this is the main guy that handles the post sex CBDialog attempts. The log messages in the last two screenshots indicate the save was apparently made right after sex, but before the dialog fired, and then a mod was removed before the game was loaded. At least that's what it looks like.

And it's been a few days since I last removed a mod, I removed Delilah because she was stuck repeating the Sexout Sex post-sex force greet (something about wishing her husband did her like that). She'd make the comment, exit dialogue, then come after me again. You know, now that I think of it, the restart where I removed Delilah was also when I updated NG and the bug began. I'll try clean-saving Sex and see how things go. Edit: I removed Sex and am still getting the same hardcore console spam. I'm now going to attempt a full sexout clean save.

All I know is, when both Sexout and Spunk are active for me, when dialogue gets to the part where my choices are shown, the game crashes. Disabling spunk fixes the crashing.

You're saying it doesn't crash when you get a greeting topic, but only when it exits that and goes to the main choices? For every NPC?

That is correct, though I have found only TWO exceptions, both of which are FO3/TTW related. 1. I don't crash out while conversing with Amata during the birthday party, but I'll crash out on the next person I talk to where I have dialogue choices. 2. If I have the "Ties That Bind" mod installed, my very first conversation with choices would be with Amanda. The conversation will proceed normally.......and then crash the game once it ends. And keep in mind that this mess started with 0.84 of Spunk. I had no problems with the immediate previous version.
DoctaSax Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Ah, well, now I've got a clue, I was told the crash happened when entering dialog, as in zooming into dialog menumode. The exceptions you mention are probably because those dialog lines lead to specific choices rather than going to the generic 'main' level of dialog. 0.84+ allows you to tell NPCs to go wash, it's the only dialog in the mod, and appears at the generic main level. It detects if your conversation partner is 'washable' by looking at an nx var parked on the actor. Detecting that in dialog involves parking the key of the nx var in a quest-held string var, which needs to be defined first. This is done in the 'first init' script on a fresh spunk install, or a 'variable update' script if the mod updates from pre-0.84. There is a possibility that this condition is checked before the string has been constructed, maybe. I've got a hunch that maybe you've started dialog before Spunk had gone through its inits and displayed the 'Spunk's up' message. If that's not the case, perhaps something got broken with the NX_GetQVEVFL function. In order to make sure it's not the first case I'll add some extra conditions to the quest that should hopefully stop the dialog line from having its condition consulted before spunk's ready, look for a test esp in the Spunk thread soon.

Never say never, but right now I don't plan to. Amra is (or was, has this changed?) using a custom Roberts body with the Penis moved to a new location. This makes them "incompatible" with sexout, alignment wise.
