This latest log looked perfectly normal. Are you saying the animation still didn't happen?

 

No. This log was generated after I entered those NX commands and animations began normally again.

Well... carry on then! I don't know what to say about the first one. The log file itself was sort of 'corrupt' if you didn't do anything to it yourself other than rename it, so who knows what was going on there.

At the risk of beating a now-dead horse, I reloaded the save where animations were not happening. After attempting an animation and failing, I entered the console commands referenced above. The character was frozen after I did that so I enabled player controls and animations resumed. Attached is that log.

Hmm.. weird. Do you still have the savegame for that one? If so, please look in your fonv data dir under nvse/plugins/extender/saves and send the CSV file associated with the save.

First thing I want to be clear on, that save says it was made while there is a sex act occuring on the player, is that true? When you load it, is the player in the middle of having sex? That *should* work but in general, you should try to avoid making saves while the player is actively engaged.

 

I'll dig a little more later on when I have time and see if I can figure out what's "really" going on here, as that should have resulted in an error for the first act in your log file, not a hang, but there may be some conflict with saving during an act and the various getgameloaded/restarted blocks.

I did not knowingly save while the player was having sex. The last sex that player consciously had was with April Martimer at the Mormon Fort. He then ends up at the Follower safe house where he attempts to have sex with Veronica which did not animate until I did those console commands. Sometimes CASM saves during sex (which I do not like) but that particular save was a manual save by me.

Hey Pride, remember that weird error code I was getting from Sexout a few days ago (its on Pg 41 if you need a refresher)? I uninstalled everything sexout and it came back. Since it isn't sexout related I posted more detail in the general Fallout Tech Support forum if you want to take a look.

Can you capture the full error stream to a text file for me?

 

At the console before you load a game, enter:

scof "debug.txt"
Then load your game and turn on sexout debug mode (just main debug, not the scanner debug).

 

Play until the error occurs, then quit. "debug.txt" will exist in the game directory, just send the whole thing along.

I found a mod on Nexus called AutoSCOF that does exactly what you just said automatically. My point was that it isn't sexout. I'm getting the same errors, but now from FWV.esm (Fallout Who Vegas). I just removed that mod and am now going to see if that was the problem, or if it gets tacked to a different mod again. The current SCOF is on my tech support thread.

Oh from a different mod? Bleh! Best of luck. I'll check in over there if I have time.

 

Personally I'd stick with scof in the console and ditch the mod. Doesn't really seem to be any reason for it, and it's just one more thing to potentially go wrong.

I keep it unchecked unless I need it. It's just handy. I'm forgetful, if someone tells me to use SCOF for something its convenient to check the mod when told than to try to remember once the game loads.

FWV glitch was a red herring. I reinstalled sexout and still can't have sex. Dialogue options all work for requesting sex, but absolutely nothing happens after the dialogue.

Open your console and type "player.inv" without quote. In the list that pops up, find all of the "do not buy" items and make note of the number in parenthesis next to them and how many you have. Next, for each one type "player.removeitem (number in parenthesis) (how many you have)" without the parenthesis or quotes.

Yep, that's the version I'm using. After rebooting FOMM the error message says "Invalid archive: open/read error!" and something about deciding the file is a TAR by mistake.
