ousnius Posted December 27, 2013 Author Posted December 27, 2013 @dorn: The bone weights are not the problem. The skin transformations for the bones are the problem. OS recalculates them every time you save/export an outfit/body. It uses a reference SKELETON (don't mistake it for the reference BODY) for this, and on this skeleton the breasts bones seem to be a little misplaced. Any chance you can explain what skin transformations are? I thought it was just all vertexs, bone weights, materials, textures, and skin partitions. I am not really sure myself what skin transformations are for. They seem to be an additional layer of transformations between bones and vertices. You can find them in nifskope under NiTriShapeData->BSDismemberSkinInstance->NiSkinData. Each shape has one global skin transformation (which seems to be ignored by Skyrim) and one skin transformation for each bone. I think they represent something like a "zero" position for the bones (something like, where was the bone when the shape was created). NIF files have tons of translation/offset/scale/rotation values. There's the scene root of the whole NIF file, then there's the values for each shape, the NiSkinData skin transformations for each shape. NiSkinPartitions can also hold translations I think, as well as each bone in the NIF. And all of those can either be applied or not. That's why it's so hard/impossible to make Outfit Studio always work 100% correct for all outfits.
arthurh3535 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 It seems I did have the correct understanding of how "zapping" works. I tried it with the CBBE Advanced Reference and that seemed to work, although it also gave me some other alignment issues, but I'll probably be able to fix those on my own. Actually, take a look at the panties/bra zaps. If you go really slow, you can see them being 'pushed in' and not being visible. You can't delete 'part' of a shape in Outfit Studio, though you can just fully delete shapes if you want, no need for a zap.
XunAmarox Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Anyone know how to make CB++ and CalienteBodyAdvanced slider presets compatible? If I make a nice preset on one the sliders will be totally off on the other.
arthurh3535 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Anyone know how to make CB++ and CalienteBodyAdvanced slider presets compatible? If I make a nice preset on one the sliders will be totally off on the other. They are supposed to be pretty similar, but really, I just made a new preset with the CalienteAdvanced version and I've been using that to make everything.
XunAmarox Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 For some reason it doesn't seem like the presets work at all for the CalienteBodyAdvanced... I made some new ones but the sliders just don't stick, it's like the vast majority of the sliders aren't actually being saved.
dTd Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Has anyone gotten anywhere on the boot/glove/gauntlet front? I'd really like to know the procedure if there is one for resizing these.
XunAmarox Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The only grain of sand I was given was the Move Verticles tool, but that's too much of a ridiculous pain in the ass that it isn't even worth attempting it.
warnecruid Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Has anyone gotten anywhere on the boot/glove/gauntlet front? I'd really like to know the procedure if there is one for resizing these. The same procedure as the main outfit
WrythePhokas Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 This may have been addressed before, but the thread moves so fast I might have missed it. I've managed to change a few outfits (thanks again for the tool - best Christmas gift ever), but a couple of them are giving me headaches. Young Trap is one of them. This is from the preview window in Bodyslide. And this is from Nifscope Everything looks alright, right? But when I put the outfit on in game it looks like this. I'm all for skimpy clothes, but this isn't what I'm looking for for this particular outfit. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
arthurh3535 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 That really looks like bone weighting for TBBP or BBP not being set up right for the outfit.

the armor in OS2, there are actually three body shapes attached to it (original mod), so what I always did was to delete all three. Then I do the usual routine, fix the initial clipping, conform the sliders, check at different slider values for clipping and in the end I copy the base shape and copy the bone weight to all shapes. Now for other armors that works, but with this one every time I get those errors when I open the nif with nifskope and the game itself doesn't like it too much ; ) When I open the original armor in nifskope there are no errors of course, so I'm assuming it has something to do with deleting those three initial shapes, since that is something I didn't encounter so far, since there's usually just one. Sooo... does anyone have an idea how to fix that? Edit: so I tried again and saw, that those three bodies are actually parts of the whole body, there is the main part of the body and the other two parts are the lower parts of the legs and the lower parts of the arms.
WrythePhokas Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 That really looks like bone weighting for TBBP or BBP not being set up right for the outfit. Thanks for the reply. I followed the "Make everything (T)BBP" tutorial from the Nexus page - i.e. used my tppb body as a reference and copied the bone weights from the body to the outfit. This is obviously not enough. Does this mean I have to weight-paint the outfit? I think Young Trap comes with some kind of jiggle out of the box, so maybe that is screwing with the process?
h38fh2mf Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 The black spots are definitely caused by messed up normals. After selecting "face normals" in nifskope for the converted prisoner outfit, all black spots are gone. Can I fix this some other way ? Nifskope isn't working for me anymore.

The same procedure as the main outfit Alright, I gave that a try, no reference feet in the list, or if I do select dream girl high>low there's certainly no feet appearing. I tried loading a reference nif, the actual dream girl feet, but they are a long way above the shoes/boots I want to resize, lets say an offset of more than 20 at least. I quit at this point. If you've done this please consider a more detailed explanation for us idiots
Guest Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 After a first couple of days of mixed but encouraging results converting stuff I've hit a total brick wall with every armor mod I've tried to do these last two days. All of them were unpb andt had quite a number of fiddly parts to them. When I follow the same process of 'everything to everything' as per nexus posted guide, all those parts are so out of whack with the reference body and none of the tools OS comes with seem able to help me put them right, it's like none of those options have enough range of effect or something, if that makes any sense. I also can't find a way to move groups of meshes together, ie linked chains. I did search for a way but nothing I tried seemed to work. here the neck pieces are way out of alignment with the neckline and the girdle parts are all miles off the waist and virtually every piece is at different depths, the bra area is so far off that I'd have days of nudging and cajoling with move/inflate/deflate ahead and still end up with a mangled, tortured mess of mesh smeared everywhere. And those little chains a;l need to be hand placed too....bleh And even when I have managed to get one of these more complex armors more or less looking right in OS (after 8 hours of hairpulling I might add), when I load them up in game I end up with a leg morph sticking out of my body at a right angle like something out of SIlent Hill. I think it's mostly me tbh, being too ambitious and having too little knowledge, but I still want to kick a puppy. As of now I'm reduced to using this brilliant thing to give my armors some bottom jiggle, which is no small thing in itself really. Not a rant btw, just a noob expressing frustration at their own lack of skills.

You need to add tbbp weight on the body too. Else there is no animation on boobs, and you get that result as the outfit moves but boobs doesnt. Here is what I do, load nif outfit, load tbbp ref. Copy bone weight to everything, manually remove any un-wanted weight on for example the skirts tigh bone weight, so it doesnt stretch along run movement. Remember you still need it fully weighted so it appears in-game, by for example adding weight via spine bone.

I've read that the leg morphing thing might be a bug with the 7b reference body and found a suggested way to resolve it which I'll try.
vdha Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Did someone figure out what the CHSBHC presets are? Tried to see whether I couldn't simply "import" the chsbhc but that doesn't seem to be the case :< Tried fiddling around but I'm just not getting anywhere... CHSBHC will be in the next version. You can expect it to be released in less than a week. Alright, thanks for the quick reply btw
Madisonx Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I know others have had this problem, but I can't seem to find a fix that I understand... Started creating some new bodies with Bodyslide 2 and using them in game. Everything seemed fine. Then at some point I started getting those awful ankle gaps. I cannot for the life of me figure out what causes it or how to fix it. I've tried messing with various sliders to include the ankle slider, but it seems to be happening no matter what body I use and what texture I use with it. The ankle gaps always show up when the character is naked, regardless of anything else I use such as the weight slider. Mostly been using CBBE Advanced TBBP as a base and working from there. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong or how to fix it? Thank you!

I feel like their is a logical answer to this, and I'm sure someone can explain it. I saw one person talking about the ankle slider and thought that might be impacting it, but I have tried that at 0, 20/40 low/high weight, 100, and it always ends up the same. Really hope someone can help us with this!
h38fh2mf Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I have ankle gap too. I was going to just leave it becacuse I seem to have all the possible problems and usually the only one who has but if you guys have it too I dare speak up now.
