What do you mean with a CHSBHC preset? A CBBE body that looks like CHSBHC? Conversion references for Outfit Studio? The references will be in the next version.

Thanks for planning to include CHSBHC preset in next verion of BS.

I'll have to study how to use BS/OS soon.   :D

for anyone interested here's some unpb tbbp things made with the outfitstudio:

2. 'pulled down' barkeep & wench clothes

screen1  screen2

barkeep textures: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47376/?

Cool idea with the 'pulled down' thing. :)

I was thinking of finally installing this new BodySlide. Should i just completely remove the old BodySlide folders or is it needed?

It's not needed and it's better to remove it to prevent possible bugs.

the butt weights:

plus hdt physics, looks like this ingame: video

maybe it's 'extreme' to some eyes.. but to me it was not visible before! I think this outfit studio is my 'gateway drug' into 3d modeling  :shy:

For some reason, I cannot see any weight painting when I use outfit studio. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you select a shape, switch to the "Bones" tab and select a bone?

Posted

I have, still nothing though.

Also, I'm trying to convert a project I've been working on to make it bodyslide compatible. Is it possible to add T/BBP support to the XML file itself? I feel like I'm missing something.

Is it possible to include a version that doesn't demand admin access? I don't really want to write bodies to the skyrim directory anyways. Or is that the only difference in the WinXP version?

There shouldn't be any differences between the BodySlide.exe and BodySlideWXP.exe. The WinXP one doesn't request admin access since UAC didn't exist yet, so you could use that.

Hey cell, any ideas on why my conversions cause nif errors in the base shape or if I export to nif?

My conversions in bodyslide work fine for myself, but if I try sharing the sliderdata and sliderset folders with the conversions, the outfits don't scale on other people's computers?

Is their a guide for this? or am I simply doing something wrong?

Are you using the latest version of Outfit Studio to create the conversion (v2.0.0.10)?

I have this exact same problem, however I noticed it only happens after copying weights. If I export the nif without copying weights the nif shows no errors on nifscope.

I tried both methods of copying weights with the same results.

Also the level of corruption or errors doesn't seem to be always the same even if I follow the exact same sequence, sometimes the outfits load in game regardless of the errors, sometimes the game crashes when loading a save game with a converted outfit.

I have Win 7 x64 (clean install since I got a Radeon R9 290) and my Steam/Skyrim is installed on a separate hard drive with UAC completely disabled if that makes a difference.

Does it happen for ALL outfits (not only Alan's etc.) every time? We're currently investigating the Abyss Walker outfit.

TY, it seemed by using my reference as an older CB++ body .xml that the .nifs came out completely wrong,

With the post you made about using the newer CalienteBodyAdvancedTBBP as a reference it seems to make the .nifs correctly without errors,

Downside was that I had to restart from scratch. Added a redone version of abysswalker with your recommended reference as a base.

Not sure if it works for others yet though, but I think it will.

Thanks again for all the help!

first question:

Is it possible to "delete some parts" of a meshes? For example, i want to edit an original shirt with big breast into a slim body and i think there is too much meshes and it's difficult to adjust perfectly the 2 versions.

Second question:

A lot of armor are easy to converse but somes are problems especialy when i need to edit scale and offset. I always convert unp/unpb to cbbe slim and some original Unp armor have a body named "SLIM PUSHUPNW3". its scale is generaly very small compare to the cbbe slim and generaly the conversion finish with problem. Any idea. or perhaps somebody met this problem too.

Thank you

i do my best with my english.

First of all thank you all for your hard work on BS 2 and OS. Second, I am having an issue with my character's feet in the game (please view pictures in the spoiler). Could someone please explain to me how I can go about fixing this?

I take back what I said, while the older cb++ body as a reference was part of the problem, seems like weight painting is the main source for the .nif errors...

Here's a new screenshot following cell's recomendation after weight painting.

nifskope_TBBPcorruption.jpg

As you can see, part of the outfit mesh shows up...

I made this mesh with the 'copy reference body option' in Outfit Studio's save as project.

Also, my body does use HDT and that does successfully transfer over to the outfit in game now.

Retested with other outfits, outside of Alan's seems to have same problem with varying level of corruption as reported by raven9

Another side-affect of these is that when you share the shapedata and slidersets, they don't scale with the body on another comp.

If you want other outfit examples other than alan ones just let me know and I'll add.

I should note that so far all these outfits work completely flawlessly for me at Bodyslide and morph (for the most part) correctly in game

Note: The .nif mesh in Shapedata folder seems to have the same issue if that's any help.

About the "body doesn't scale on other computers" issue - you're not doing the sliders of the body correctly. You have to delete the body shape that comes with the original outfit.nif and keep "Automatically copy reference shape into outfit" checked when using "Save Sliderset As...".

That way, the body shape's name will stay the same (BaseShape) and it should work on another computer.

About the NifSkope problem - it happens as soon as you use "Copy Bone Weights" on any of the shapes?

Did you fully install the body type you're using (like CBBE, CHSBHC, 7B, etc.)? It looks like the feet meshes/textures aren't compatible.

Sorry for unclarity in my previous post, The way you mentioned (which is the same as the official guide on the Bodyslide 2.0 page) is the only way I have converted the armors.

So that .nif file is made after I have the option you specified ticked on and have deleted the base body.

When I tried an alternative way (Duplicate reference shape into outfit as body and then conform that to the sliders while leaving auto copy reference shape off on save) kept crashing in skyrim whenever I loaded the outfit. So I quit doing that xD.

As for your second question, I just did a quick mock-up from a clean mage.nif file in Alan's pack and saved without copying weights and the file opened in nifskope with no corruptions.

When I tried doing the TBBP method b from the official guide onto just 1 piece of the mage armor (hip/trouser piece) and export to .nif, when I open in nifskope immediate corruption appears.

That is the only test I have done, but if you need more, like BBP copying, using different pieces let me know.

Below is attached files I worked on, mage_2 is uncorruoted with no copy weights, mage_3 is corrupted with TBBP weight only for hip/trouser area.

Thanks again for all the hard work and the wonderful tool!

The "NiSkinInstances" inside of the source NIF might be a problem, but we're not sure yet. Can you try copying weights for a completely different outfit that's not from Alan? One that has "BSDismemberSkinInstances" in them instead of "NiSkinInstances"?

hey i was wondering if someone on the bodyslide team could take a look at this.

i follow the convert anything to anything but instead of armor/clothing i attempted some of bobs boots, now the boots work in OS but when i export the boots i get a nif but opening nifskope i get no mesh.  the file structure is there but nothing shows up on the main window.

does OS work with meshes that sit below the Z axis?

Take a look at the FAQ @Nexus mod page. Might be a bit harder for boots, though. :P

lol okay maybe i missed it.

it wasn't too much of a challenge for the boots other than figuring out how to convert it since the OS kind of freaked out on me.

i tried just doing cbbe to 7seven body and the thing asked me to save modifications when i tried to move the slider then crashed.

edit:so with boots i don't do the standard weight copy? just paint the mask and then export?
