malbolzcha Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 kinda need some help here. i got collared outside faldars tooth when i was doing the quest and now nothing will attack me. i see theres something about it in the "known issues" but it doesnt say how to fix it. im sure its probly something to do with my faction but i dont know the command to change it or if thats even the fix for it. any help pls? EDIT - luckily i had an older save i could load but i lost like 3 quests. o well. would still like to know if theres a fix in case it happens again

After squirming out of the wrist shackles, I pickpocketed my Master's key while he was sleeping, cast Invisibility, and made my getaway. Once back to safety, I discovered that I could no longer equip the earrings ("earrings--golden clamps") I'd enchanted to help me with my magica regeneration. They actually account for quite a large percentage of my regenerative capability, so, I'd really like to fix this. I can just reload an earlier save and change my tactics-- I only lost the battle because I didn't know that the Foresworn higher up on the stairway weren't affected by my master-level Illusion spells like those lower on the stairway were. If I use Invisibility to approach them individually to cut their throats with my daggers, I can win-- it just takes longer, and my current 'toon prefers to avoid killing. The "problem slot" is not the harness-- that interfered with something else, and, when I remove it, I can install the other thing. But, putting on/taking off the ring gag doesn't affect any of the slots I use for anything else. I don't have the shackles in my inventory to experiment with, so, Idk if they could be the problem. If there was a collar applied in addition to the harness (I didn't notice-- I escaped pretty quickly), that was removed and not placed in my inventory; so, I can't test that, either. I don't have any idea how to do anything with the slots-- I don't know how to determine what is associated with what, or how to "clean" a slot... or, whatever I need to do to fix this. Can anyone else tell me how? * When I reloaded the game, the gag was back on my 'toon-- and the Master's key would not remove it. So, of course, I have no choice but to go back to an earlier save. I tried going to Sanguine's Realm via the statue in the Honningbrew basement-- I wanted to see if Sanguine would replace the ring gag with his gag that was eventually removed. But, no dice... the ring gag was left in place in Sanguine's Realm, too.

Slots assignments are dictated by information inside the mesh objects (nif files). If you change a slot in the game somehow, that will render items using that slot invisible since the mesh will still have the old slot embedded in the file. There is a mod that adds slot information to SkyUI, so you can see exactly what you are wearing and where.

You're referring to the Device Hider: That item is a bit unique, in that it does permit the user to swap slots, to ensure compatibility with whatever mods you're using. The technique used to enable that behavior isn't usable by most items. Slot 50 (The old gags strap slot) is the new recommended slot for the device hider, rather than 60. That's likely contributing to this mod's unupdated gags not showing up (Being displaced by the device hider).

I am trying to fit in a few updates before publishing a minor release.

The spriggan would have to be a flowering spriggan and if you are spawning bandits via the console code you might be spawning ones that arent part of the faction and thus don't enslave. I'd suggest trying on some vanilla bandits and see what happens

The spriggan would have to be a flowering spriggan and if you are spawning bandits via the console code you might be spawning ones that arent part of the faction and thus don't enslave. I'd suggest trying on some vanilla bandits and see what happens Spriggans are usually way more powerful than bandits/ Check DA's menu and set your Health threshold to 10% and large hit detection to 600%. That will help DA to detect your defeat before the spriggans kill you.
pinky6225 Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I've been trying to do some travelling with my owner and to be honest i've found it mighty hard to get the dude to follow me, I've tried downloading and using amazing follower tweaks and also Make everyone a follower and marriagable, but neither seem to be able to override the owner wander around AI that you get if you end up enslaved by asking someone to help you get away from your master or by using the i need a strong hand to guide me dialogue options. Also don't seem to work if you try and get someone who can be a follower from vanilla regardless of whether you higher them before or after enslavement The only way i've managed to do it is by using the moveto player [ownernpcID] command so i was wondering whether a dialogue option to move town could be included whenever you have time since then you can still move around the town and complete quests etc but manage to return to your master in time to avoid accidentally escaping

Zenetx's Gags overhaul was merged in to DD for the upcoming 2.8.2 release.
