With the last couple of updates, however, it seems to be causing another mod of mine "Take Notes- The Journal of the Dragonborn" http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48375/? to freeze and refuse to close, forcing me to quit I have tracked the problem down and its definitely Sanguine, I am just at a loss as to what these two mods have to do with each other at all. I've tried looking for conflicts in TES edit, fiddling with the load order, starting new game, etc, but its plain that Journal works just fine as long as SD is turned off, and freezes consistently when on. Anyone else having this problem? Ah a fellow Take notes user. The issue is not a problem of compatibility. Is a "hotkey" problem. It happens when you write the journal, and you press some letter which are also SD+ "hotkey", like "k". So when you write "I've Killed tons of bandits", you don't see it because is covered by the journal but you've also opened the SD+ surrender menu. That's why at the end you can't close the journal and everything is frozen. Let's hope Skyrimll fix this, but in the meantime there is a solution. just change the SD+ hotkeys to something you will never happen to use while writing the journal, like "home" "end" "pagedown". This will solve your issue.

I was captured by the foresworn and the Jarl paid the ransom. Now all factions are friendly. I wasn't in the camp long. If the above is the case, once you've been enslaved once, you are the safest person in Skyrim. If this isn't the case, in what instances do you become friendly to all factions? Being friendly to all factions is a game-breaker, as is being friendly to none. Should I just move the percentage chance for a SD+ end in Death Alternative to 0% until the faction issue is resolved? I quite like the mod, but the faction thing is a killer. For the moment, just refuse to join their faction when they ask. They are going to get you free anyway.

All the required mods should by up to date.

Because Sanguine normally won't pull me into his Dreamworld after the end of a Enslavement, in fact after 13 times being slave Sanguine has pulled me only 1 time into the Dreamworld (after the first time). If Sanguine would have taken all my stuff each time then there would be by now a ton of my stuff in that chest (impossible to carry, i think). Of course if you think the player will run home nude and unarmed and get killed by animals on that way (and visits the Dreamworld this way) this would be a possible way to enter the Dreamworld, but this will not happen with me, i avoid to die if possible.
stobor Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Regarding the issue with hotkeys and text entry (not just Take Notes, it is also likely to be a problem in the enchanting menu, or anything else that allows typing text): I've seen this type of bug before, and the fix is to skip the hotkey if text entry is enabled. For example: Event OnKeyDown( Int KeyCode ) If ( UI.IsTextInputEnabled() ) ;; A text entry menu is open, ignore the hotkey. return EndIf If ( KeyCode == myKey ) ... EndIf EndEvent

I just tried to purposely get myself enslaved to see if it would work, but whenever I lose all my health, and I start bleeding out, the camera just stays fixed, and it loads the last save file, as if I really did die. Did you click Install in the MCM menu page -> exit menu then wait for the message of installation -> enter menu page, click Begin -> exit menu -> wait for the message sanguine is watching, etc.? Also if your using any mods like Requiem you need to change death reload rate to maximum time and also the setting to change armor in combat: on. It sounds like you are using DA if you are bleeding out, is DA set to not use ragdoll and the SD quests are active/there in the On: Bleedout, Blackout, and Death sub menus? You didn't really give much information at all.

Perhaps I am not understanding you but Defeat should not having anything to do with Death, it only affects the bleedout state. For me using default settings Defeat will always trigger if it wants to then if I don't escape I am knocked down and attacked until 'Death' which triggers the enslavement.

I haven't figured out how/if the various events interact, but maybe there's an issue there?
Dénouement Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 For me, death sends me to sanguine, or another alternative occurs such as waking up in the woods, getting rescued, etc. As I understand it, there's a chance of either enslavement or defeat scripts, modifiable (by percentage, submission which doesn't seem to work perfectly), but if I want to guarantee a defeat before enslavement I am not sure how to do that other than reloading if they kill me (npcs seem more likely to kill me rather than start a second defeat scene). If enslavement happened on death if it's conditions were met (eligible npc nearby), then sanguine could still occur if those conditions were not met and through its own mechanisms.

I am also having a bit of trouble with Defeat atm as well, sometimes I get a second knock down and animation from Defeat (usually from a creature), sometimes not, and I have Defeat set to 99% in DA. Defeat *shouldn't* trigger a second animation from a NPC that has just had a turn as the mod author says but I haven't played with the settings and played long enough to test everything with it, perhaps I am setting something wrong. SD+ seems to be working well with DA though and it is possible to get both Defeat and SD+ to work together
astor Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I gave up on defeat for now. Probably have too many mods for it to work well with everything. I did notice though that with DA running without SD+ being activated in MCM, my toon still gets enslaved and the like.
Ragnaroy Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 So after loosing and the rape, i just sit and wait, nothing happens, i can smash A and D to leave, and actually leave, but nothing will happen, if i stay more than 10 secs i'll get attacked, and the SD events will never trigger.

I want to play with SD+ now, especially since there is that chance of having followers sent to Mistwatch. That is so cool.

Attacked by a group of bandits. I lose and Jenassa gets taken to Mistwatch. This makes sense and is part of the mod. 2. Later in the same game, I'm attacked by some hired thugs. They also take me to Mistwatch and I understand that this is part of the mod too. 3. Now it's where things get a bit confusing. Since I'm at Mistwatch and I can wander without getting attacked since I'm part of their faction now I thought I would search for Jenassa. I found her and walk up to her cell. She is talking, well her idle chats are running. When I try to speak with her all I get is the muffled sound. I can, however chat with her through AFT dialogue. I wander away as I have no key to get her out, or lockpick and I'm in binds so I figure she is trapped for the time being. Nope. I can see her running in place inside her cell and then poof! She does a Houdini and is standing next to me. She now follows me around as I serve my Master. So here, the question is, are your followers supposed to be able to get out of jail that way? 4. I have about 500 gold pieces and want to try the Indentured Servant quest which I've never been able to complete. In the past when I give my master gold and it's not enough he just beats me and doesn't give me a chance to collect more. This time I will get the full amount before I take on the quest or open the pay off dialogue. With Jenassa's help using the AFT system I'm able to fence all the garbage in the dungeon and eventually get enough gold to pay off my debt. When I pay off my Master the scene shifts to black and I'm with Sanguine in his Dreamworld. The usual stuff plays out there and afterward he sends me to a the opening of a Falmer cave. The question this time, is being sent to Sanguine the solution to the quest, Indentured Servant? If so, it's not very clear what actually happened. 5. For giggles I thought I would take Jenassa and enter the Falmer cave because, why not? As you can imagine, two characters with no weapons and one in binds it doesn't take long for the first Falmer to enslave me. This time Jenassa just bails and leaves me to my fate. I decide to escape but will wait till morning as my settings have the nighttime very dark and I can't always tell where I'm going. I take a nap on a convenient bedroll and I wake up in Sanguine's Dreamworld again. Only this time, I'm Sanguine's slave. I have most of the dialogue options that I have with mortal masters only this time I answer to the big S. I just want out of Dodge and back to my little camp at Whiterun so I run to the pull chain after Sanguine has one run at me and figure this will be the easiest escape ever. Uh-uh. Sanguine comes with me and we are both in the basement of the bunkhouse. After a few rounds of pass the slave around Sanguine falls asleep and I run away the traditional way and make my escape. Out of curioustiy I go back to the bunkhouse to check if Sanguine is still there. Matter of fact he is and he is playing in the stockade in the basement, what a goof. I chat him up but he doesn't have much to say. This is confusing, did something get messed up or can Sanguine pull you out of being enslaved and then make you his official master? Either way, it was a trip! The only secondary quest that hasn't come up is "Sex and Punishment" and I'm not sure how that one is triggered.

AFT will un-stick your followers if they have trouble following you.

Since I can't find a solution to my problem, I'll just check back every now and then and hope a future version will be less of a big mess. For your second issue, check the logs for messages about aborting enslavement. If your enslaved faction drops to 0 immediately after enslavement, that means somehow SD thinks your PC is doing something against the master...that can be casting an automatic spell or equipping a weapon for example. An issue that recently came up in testing is with a mod called SPERG, which equips 'Fists' weapons when the PC is not holding anything else. SD is taking that as a sign the PC is attacking the master. I will be working on that kind of behavior. Can you share your load order before declaring SD a mess? Sometimes there is a very simple solution to a frustrating behavior of any mod, this one included. Ah well that would be it. I do have SPERG installed and I do see 'Fists' being equipped when enslavement begins, although I think it used to happen before SD became SD+ and it worked fine. I've had SPERG installed for a very long time. The addition of daymoyl has just caused more problems for me than it has created benefits and its just a bit frustrating. Also for some reason the update to 4.5x on daymoyl has caused its MCM menu to stop working, though from what I understand from that mod's page on the nexus, it is a fairly common problem. The load order currently excludes SD+ and its dependencies, though whenever I install/uninstall any mod I run BOSS and FNIS.

Usually I use the load option and select the save manually both times. I have the same loading problem, but i get around that by using: coc qasmoke at the main menu, and loading my save from there. Now if only i could find a way to make skyrim load into that on it's own when it launches.

And if unchecking everything in DA except SD events, i just get sent to Sanguine when i black out, like i died.

SD Spriggan is checked in DA, I stopped sexlab defeat, sacrificial spriggan but nothing still happen. I have the blackout effect, but after it, i stand up, the spriggan does not attack me anymore. I tried with normal spriggan and spriggan chief, nothing changes. I also tried to unchecked all other options in blackout and others. I tried uninstalling SD and DA too. Any idea ?
Ishayu Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 The amount of bugs with this addon is pretty crazy to be honest. I know it's not finished, and I don't mean to be rude, but this is what I've encountered so far on a fresh save, and I'm sure there's more to come: Now... to address these issues individually... Enslavement quests cannot end. I'll go through the quest and complete every objective, but the slave loop will still run and the quest will not finish no matter how long I wait. This includes all regular enslavement quests and the spriggan quest. That's a good example of obscure issue that can be difficult to fix. In my tests, I can end enslavement in many ways, including from the Spriggan. Since I cannot reproduce your issue, it may take a long time before a solution comes up. I can't escape by pickpocketing keys. No matter if I'm seen, the script will run and I'll get the cuffs back on instantly no matter what. Worse yet, the master won't get a new key, so now I'm permanently stuck. These two problems may be related. Pickpocket skills are diminished while you are wearing chains, which can make success difficult to reach. That said, it looks like you are successful but the chains are coming back. I didn't test stealing the master's key for a long time and it is possible this is now an issue (nobody has reported that one yet... i will add it to the list of things to check). There is no fun to be had whatsoever in Sanguine's realm. Sanguine can take advantage of you when you first approach him but I agree, this part of the mod needs work. I would rather make Dreamworld more fun and add a quest with Sanguine but I have to work on stability and bug fixing in other areas right now. Since this basically represents a major bug in every single feature, I think I'm just going to uninstall until such a time the addon is working. I hear there's a new beta going. Oh wait! I can't, 'cause that's bugged, too. I can't get the mod uninstalled because that option is greyed out because I'm enslaved, but I can't use safe word because it claims I'm not enslaved. I tested uninstall and it does work as long as you do not want to re-install the mod in the same save game. If your PC goes into bleedout mode during uninstall, use the Wait key and wait for a few hours. Your PC will stand up again. If your PC goes to Dreamworld, use the chain on the pillar to go back to Tamriel. If you cannot run UNINSTALL because you are currently enslaved, try this in the console: stopquest _sd_enslavement Once the mod is uninstalled, it is better to leave it dormant in your list of mods instead of removing it completely. Skyrim often keeps remnants of past mods after they have been removed from your list. Sorry I never got back to this. I'm still figuring out how the site works. I'm not gonna reinstall because I use Requiem but I'll respond with what I can if it's still useful. If not, feel free to ignore. 1) What happens specifically is that I complete all the objectives, but the quest does not go into the "Completed" section and its loops still run. I don't know how easy that is to fix, but it seems to me that some rudimentory checks in the loop itself to see if the player completed all the objectives of the quest would suffice? Yeah, the bug would still be there, but it wouldn't really have any consequence anymore as it'd be cleaned up automatically. 2) I think you misunderstood. I do manage to unlock the chains because I pickpocket the key, and for a brief moment I am told that I am now free. However, a script comes and re-adds the chains. It prints a little message, I can't remember what it is; something like "Gatekeeper: Re-adding chains" or something to that effect. 3) Thanks. It's too late now of course but that's entirely my own fault.
