Plaguetard Posted December 27, 2013 Posted December 27, 2013 Do you plan to bring back the option to have the view start in near mode instead of starting in far and having to toggle? I remember that option from like 1.2 and used it.
Liquidpinky Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Do you plan to bring back the option to have the view start in near mode instead of starting in far and having to toggle? I remember that option from like 1.2 and used it. I liked the toggle no head rotation hotkey also, handy for some of the over-energetic animations. Is it possible to create a turn where you look option that allows free head movement then only turns once you reach your sideways turn limits?
h38fh2mf Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Toggle no rotation and start in near view can both be done with profiles, guys. Toggle no rotation: create profile with rotation 100 set hotkey to H create profile with rotation 0 set hotkey to H press H to toggle Start in near view mode: create profile with far distance 30 and near distance 700 or whatever values (notice they are flipped from default), disable the set auto near view in interior, enter profile -> sets view mode to 30 at first, press key to set view mode to 700. It's not possible right now to make turn after angle, I tried this in code but when you reach the angle and switch on turning then camera jumps back to center of screen. I need to figure out a way to allow free look while turning is on. This would be very helpful for many things such as looking around during killmove.
Pavaux Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Wow! You are second place in the top files on Nexus! Nice to see you are appreciated there as well!
Ashra XIII Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Wow! You are second place in the top files on Nexus! Nice to see you are appreciated there as well! Even though I had absolutely nothing to do with the creation of this mod, I still feel so proud to see its success over on Nexus. It's like cheering for the home team when they're off on a road game, or something. Regarding head rotation, I pretty much always have it set low on any profile that involves movement, because otherwise I get pretty dizzy. Still, I like having some movement to make things feel more visceral, especially in combat. Seriously, Ultimate Combat + Immersive Combat Sounds + Immersive First Person = Beautiful, bone-jarring battle.
h38fh2mf Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 Hah that's sweet and you're right too, this is home and nexus is .. somewhere else, maybe the office. This mod started only because of SexLab.
gvman3670 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 It works really nice for the SL mods, that's for sure. Especially with bouncing breast animations!
Ashra XIII Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 It works really nice for the SL mods, that's for sure. Especially with bouncing breast animations! Yes it does, and even makes those crummy AP animations better, because you can't necessarily see all the horribly-twisted limbs from a first person perspective.
Band_Geek3 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Yep! I'm constantly going "hell yeah!" for this mod whenever I see it progress or update. It's a much more frequent occasion than with any other mod to date Also! Check out this preset! Set it to dialogue only FOV: 65 (or really anything lower than your default) This gives a nice little zoom effect like in oblivion/fallout. I use 85 default FOV, so 65 gives a slight zoom to focus on the target. Up/down: 0 (may be different depending on your facial structure. Zero puts it right on the bridge of my character's nose, so it works out). Forward/back: 10 (may be different, It's low to show hair in front of your eyes if you have any) Set far view to match near view (default 30, but if you have camera placement right then it can be as low as 0). It effectively gives automatic near view when the profile is active, saving you from pressing the hotkey every time you talk to somebody and every time you stop talking to somebody. If you play with a Depth of Field like I do, then the mountain flickering is negligible. Also, most dialogue happens indoors Fade in: 500 Fade out: 500 (or 0 if your default profile has a fade in. Remember that fade in/out is a sum of the two on each profile) Enable Headtracking! (with the player headtracking mod. You'll probably want to turn it off on the rest of your profiles by default) My character is short (.96), so when she talks to most nords she must look up at them. Her bangs hide their face if she isn't looking up at them Also it's neat to see the edges of your hood (fur hood completely hides your view :\ ) or the impractical eye-slits of a helmet without them getting in the way during more mundane or more intense activities. And because headtracking is on, you'll need some rotation enabled. 60-80 is comfy for me. Full 100 feels weird constantly staring the target down and less than that doesn't do much with the headtracking. I like to turn off dialogue subtitles (but keep ambient on, audio is wonky enough that I need them). This forces me to really sit and listen. Some voice acting is really amazing in the mods like Interesting NPCs.

I uncheck those from SL. LOL BUT, it was the first sex mod I found when I first started modding Skyrim and thought it was the bomb. At least until I found this place anyway.
h38fh2mf Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 I had almost all AP unchecked before but with the first person some of it is ok, don't know how it is in new versions of SL but it required some adjusting of position.
Broccoli Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I had almost all AP unchecked before but with the first person some of it is ok, don't know how it is in new versions of SL but it required some adjusting of position. Hello there First of all, Kudos to you on making this mod, this is what i was looking for a long long time. I'm hoping more games in the future will have this feature in it. And I'm really curious did you share the mod on nexus too? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49036/? And i am really tempted to install this mod since i really love a realistic version of FP view. Yup i hate those realistic looking FPS games that doesn't show your legs or body when you look down the ground since it looks so unrealistic and eventually you will found it out that you're just a floating camera with hands ugh... But there's some problems that is preventing me on installing this mod. Okay here's the question i wonder if there's any save/game breaking scripts in it? Here's a example i wonder if this is the correct way on updating to the latest version. Let's say i already have a older version installed on my Skyrim. And all i have to do is uninstall the mod and go in game and load the savegame that i used the mod on it, Then save and quit and simply install the latest version of the mod?
h38fh2mf Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 Yes that's what it says under updating in the main post. Also I don't know why you quoted my post it was not relevant to your post at all There is only one script in the mod and it's MCM menu and hotkey. I don't see how it could possibly break anything.
Pavaux Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Also I don't know why you quoted my post it was not relevant to your post at all Why does Uranus sound dirty to most people.
Taskmaster Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Yup, probably one of the best and/or most important mods ever released. This is freaking crazy good.
hryh23k9823u Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Talking about the success of this mod, recently seeing it in Brodual's youtube channel was great too ^ ^ Im enjoying it quite a lot but Im still waiting for Ashal and the Joy of Perspective team since no matter how good this mod its done, I think its not made for normal gameplay (however, it will be always necesary for sexlab xD)

I certainly can live without JoP (in fact I didnt used lately at all), I dont look at my feet when actually playing... But it seems that the new version will come with bugs fixed and support to any armor 'on the fly' (according to Ashal), so I'll end playing with JoP and a hotkey to Immersive View for sexlab :3 Well to be honest, if Immersive View could somehow make a compromise with 360º animations (cause I like to play 3rd person too and these are important) I *may* definetively forget about JoP in favour if this one...!
Quixote76 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Immersive FPV blows JOP's socks away! Brilliant mod.
Duoleb The Chosen Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 if you Really want a good suggestion, make 2 types of First person view this one, and something closer to the original oblivion one where you can use your 1st person animations using your 3rd person body where you can choose at MCM
Band_Geek3 Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 I'm not really sure why people are still holding out for JoP. It was a great attempt and I totally respect those folks for giving a shot, but our friend here has completely made it obsolete with IFP. Sure, JoP will hold a special place in my heart for making me yearn for this sort of mod from the beginning, but IFP does it just so much better. I'm almost at the point where I might want more than 10 profiles JoP doesn't have any features, implemented or proposed, that aren't already covered and potentially perfected (with the right settings) in the current version of IFP. So, I'd like to take this opportunity to give a third unbridled thank you to our lovely mod author for my favorite mod of all time. Also, this mod uses just the one script to hook into MCM. It means that you can uninstall it and the MCM will hang there empty, but otherwise not gunk up your save. On the plus side, you can throw in the updated version and it goes right back into that spot in a fully updated format (after waiting for a couple script cycles in your game... If you have like a 600ms delay it might take a bit, but most of us have it under 50ms so it finds it rather quick). I've updated this mod for all but one release without problems (I completely missed v1.4 because damn you develop fast!)

This mod is great and I love it, works great for Sexlab which is what was intended for. The first mod that did this was 'Real First Person View', and that is the one that holds a special place in my heart. That mod did exactly what this mod does: placing the camera POV in front of the head and voi là. This one has the advantage that other one didnt have in its early time, which is SkyUI that allows to turn off head shaking and other tweaks to avoid vomits. However in my opinion this is still a (great) workaround with limitations until the release of JoP.

In that case, could you elaborate what the release of JoP would include that is not present in this mod? Some people seem to be saying this mod is not playable in it's current state, but I quite belief it is, with the right adjustments. The customization of this mod really allows you to use it as much or as less as you'd want.
Srende Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Tjop does bow & magic aiming a lot better. With this when you while aiming, your aim shakes way too much. That's due to the way the 3rd person turning animations work. Even if you put the rotation amount from animations to 0, you still get the actual camera movement from the head movement, shaking the camera, making accurate aiming at long ranges nigh impossible.
