Devious Devices - For the Masses v3.04 - Files removed

I was replying to another thread then I had an idea to wrap in the fake keys to some use in the game.

How about letting the keys enable the pop up "Unlock with key" just as it would with real keys, but after picking that option it would give a message saying that you tried and since your arousal level is high you forced it and broke the key. Frustrated at the turn of event, your arousal grew and begin to rub the cold steel of the belt.

For restraints, I imagine it should be similar unless you are not wearing the chastity belt or harness.

You may be allready aware of this Veladarius but the main mod lists the wic cloaks esp as master when you tick the box for cloakes of skyrim during installation.

Hey Vel, were you able to get that corrected archive up? Only reason I aks is the issue with the cloaks patch in the archive (you're aware of that), and the fixed patch posted above lists "Devious Devices For the Masses II - DB.esp" as a master, however the newest version doesn't label the esp as 'DB" for dragonborn comaptibility. So even with that one it seems to be crashing the game on startup.

OBIS has made the wild so much more dangerous (and fun) so I would really like a solution to let these two co-exist. Could you explain a bit more about the current situation? From what I understand, both of the mods make use of the bandits' outfit list so the edit from one will be overwritten by the other's, depending on the load order.

No, I hand't. I will take care of it today.

OBIS completely remakes the bandits, the outfit lists and the leveled lists for them. Because of this any mod that changes the outfit lists (very few) or even adds new armors to the leveled lists won't work with it, as it is of the outfit lists that I changed OBIS only uses 4 of them. I can see about adding another patch like the ones for CCO and Cloaks of Skyrim that would add the rings to their outfit lists (luckily they don't have too many outfits).

I have uploaded a new version that contains the Cloaks + WIC patch as well as a new patch for OBIS, both of these are included in the installer. There are no changes to the base esp or scripts so if you don't need any of the new additions you don't need to update.

There seems to be a bug, or something missing when installing this mod:

I can choose to install:

- Select this if you have Cloaks of Skyrim installed (but not Complete Crafting Overhaul).

- Select this if you have Cloaks of Skyrim installed and Winter is Coming(but not Complete Crafting Overhaul).

- Select this if you have BOTH Cloaks of Skyrim AND Complete Crafting Overhaul installed.

And what am I supposed to do if I DONT have Cloaks of Skyrim, DONT have Crafting overhaul ?

I cant deselect all boxes, it forces me to keep one. But none is applicable...

As a result, the game crashes to desktop as soon as this mod is installed... And since you dont have previous version to download, im currently unable to resume my game.. =(

I will add an option for none. For now you can disable the added esp as those are separate from the main esp.

BAIN Wizard not working

Question as well:

I am running CCO, Cloaks and WIC.  Any chance of getting an all-in-one esp for those?

I will have to install CCO, I didn't make the patch for it originally.

May I ask what do you consider being the preferred installation for someone with all 3 mods?

Second option or third?

Looking at CCO and what it does with Cloaks and WIC (I installed the patches from the CCO mod) the places where the FtM Cloaks and WIC patch conflicts with CCO is there are 14 Outfit lists where CCO adds some minor items or bandoliers/pouches and no cloaks.

My opinion: I would go with the Cloaks and WIC patch.

Thank you for the mod, advice and the OBIS patch.

Or just use TES5Edit and create a merged patch, as unlike Wrye Bash it can merge more then just leveled and loot lists, including factions (which makes the worst combinations of mods at least semi compatible), content of containers & inventories and many more.

i run CCO + patches and loads of other mods that alter loads of (form) lists and run into no problems.

The merged patch needs ofc to be updated everytime a merged mod was updated. Same as with Wryes Bashed Patch, but that the Merged Patch might need manual editing (not needed in case of simple list merges) in some cases but is due to this way more flexible.

For example: One can patch all hoods to not cover the circlet slots and have those edits in the merged patch instead of altering the source mod or create another plugin to do so.

Hint: SD(+) needs the merged patch + some manual editing so factions are compatible, especially to other mods, and Werewolfs are covered by the changes from Dawnguard as the DG addon for SD(+) does not cover those edits from DG.

Shoot Veladarius

I didn't realize you were authoring and maintaining more mods than Captured Dreams.

Thanks for update!

Yep, I have Captured Dreams, For the Masses and Interactions. Captured Dreams actually started as just a place to sell any extra items you found in For the Masses or needed something to complete a set.

so if i have CCO, do i need to download/install cloaks to run this mod?  or will it work without a patch?

edit: not a big deal then, thanks for the quick response.  also, absolutely love your mods.

It will work without a patch but some enemies will be missing some small items added by CCO.

OMG Veladarius I hope I can be as productive as you. I was only expecting some DIY solutions like Bashed Patch or the like. Thank you very much!

With some of the new commands and features coming to Integration I will probably end up reworking this to add the new items. A number of commands will make it much easier to grab random items than the process I used currently is.

I'm a bit confused with options for Cloaks of Skyrim. Has cloaks become a requirement now? There is no option to say you don't use cloaks at all. Can you simply disable the esp afterwards or can you leave it active even if you don't have cloaks?

I need to add an option for none to that (and another spot I think). You can uncheck the added esp for the cloaks patch as the main esp doesn't have the requirement.

Is there any way to use a stolen key?

I stole *cough* found one in a wardrobe in the Winking Skeever (I have real keys set to 100) but it won't give an unlock option. I've tried fencing it but you can't sell it either.

It's most vexing indeed :)

EDIT:

Just checked the code and it is a fake. I guess "crime doesn't pay" :D
