Devious Devices - For the Masses v3.04 - Files removed

Most possible reason - childs from child mods can't be recogonized.

Maybe some keywords missing on custom childs or something like that. There's no devices appear on vanilla kids.

So if the children are wearing something like bartender's clothes or merchant clothes, then the devices will be added to them? So from my understanding, the mechanism that adds the devices, is based on the outfits people wear. So if the children were in children's clothes, they wouldn't get devices. But since they are wearing regular clothes like the adults, they get devices, right?

Well..... that sucks lol. All the children in my game are wearing regular clothes that the adults wear, to add variety to them (the outfits are scaled to their size). So now you're telling me that because of that, kids are going to be running around in bondage gear now? Wonderful....

Is this compatible with Integration 2.8?  I want to upgrade integration and Captured Dreams.

It will work with it but won't have the new items.

I can add a check to see if the actor is a child and skip the process like it does with the player.

Edit: I just added a check to the script, I will see if it still works as it should with the adults then I can let you test it out and see if it works properly. If it does I will make it a standard part of the script and get a new version out.

That's a weird combination of sick and hysterical, and totally something Grelod the Kind would do.

Try these scripts out and see if they work, they still add items to adults as it should.

Just females: Standard scripts.zip

Males and females: Males scripts.zip

They both have the same addition to the script so try whichever one you normally use. Just extract the zip into the data folder and it will overwrite the script that adds devices.

Probably the easiest way to check if it works is set the chance to 100% and resurrect some kids and see if they get anything.

Dunno if this is the correct thread - as this may be a defeat, submit, DD's or other mods fault....

My female character was fighting a necromancer somewhere and she fell down for a "submit/defeat/alternate death or something), while being down she got stripped, then my follower Lydia was still beating the crap out of the Necromancer and killed him. Then I noticed that I was fitted with a Chastity Bra(Padded), Collar (Leather) (Harness), cuffs (padded) (Arms) and Cuffs (Padded) (legs). All locked on.

The Necromancer who was then dead on the ground and (animation glitch, still kicking in the air) did not have any keys on him. I did think much of it by then as I was thinking I could get the Master at Captured Dreams shop to remove them for a price, did remove some restraints on an earlier testrun. But this time she tells me that I am owned by wearing a collar and she will not remove any restraints. Perfectly logical is my character was owned, but I think this is a broken issue, by missing key or something.

What is the easiest way to get those removed, by either talking with some, or concole or something. I did try to concele player.removeiitem command, it says removed, but it still there.

Thanks for the help, and keep up the great mod work to all who make them! :D

The items were probably added by one of the DD variants of Submit or Defeat, whichever you have running. FtM just adds items to the npc's when they are first loaded or reset and not to the player. The Master at Captured Dreams only removes things like blindfolds, gags and armbinders, to remove other items you need to talk to Slave Kara and she will direct you to who can remove the devices for you.

Removing items with the remove item command generally does not work, if you need to remove items using the console and they are not broken then give yourself the keys to the items.

You can give yourself the keys to the restraints/belts by -

1. Using the two console commands - help "chastity key" 4  or  help "restraints key" 4 - to find the alpha-numeric code for the keys

2. Then use - player.additem codefrompreviousstep 1 - to add the key/s into your inventory

Then you can just unlock them as normal. As for the key not being on the recently deceased's corpse, thats either a bug or a feature of whatever mod your using to add devious devices to your character on defeat/submit and won't be linked to DD - FTM. Can't help more without knowing which one/seeing a mod list, sorry.

Hope that helps.

So I'm having a rather "creepy" issue with this mod.

I decided to go ahead and try out all this Devious Devices stuff for the first time today. But I ran into a problem with this mod.

The devices, are appearing on children. I use SkyKids with the SkyKids child replacer (the one I made), and they are flagged as child races. Yet I was just in Whiterun and saw Braith wearing some of these pieces. Most noticeably, the bra, collar, and chastity belt. Could see them all sticking out of her clothes.

I didn't realize this mod worked on child races, and if that is the case, I'm going to have to remove it. Or is this some sort of bug?

If you only have the normal classes of children you should be able to still use DDFTM. In the MCM you can uncheck all the "civilized" classes to be exempt from such taboo fetishes, leaving that naughty part of life to the bandits, forsworn, etc, etc.

However, if all else fails, to use DD (It opens up a whole new world) and still want children to be more vibrant and unique without skykids you can use a personal fav mod of mine: The Prince and the Pauper. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46156/? It adds 6 new textures per class, per gender, along with 4 special out fits: 2 Orphan cloths, and 2 Dark child cloths.

Either way it is going to to take some sacrifices. In the case of having the two together, I heard that there were other incompatibilities of Skykids and Sexlab, such as putting underage members into inappropriate situations.... (In which case you want to put a chastity belt on the whole lot.... lol... Sexlab humor...) This also makes playable child races inadvisable...

Once the scripts are tested (available a few posts up) with Skykids and work properly I will release a new version with that standard, there are a few other things that need a bit of cleanup.

Well I've been working with En_Hawk (creator of SkyKids) to make a more fantasy based child replacer for his mod. So I've been using that as my child replacer. I like the way it came out, and it would seem weird to do all that work and not even use it lol.

But I think you are confusing SkyKids with RCotS. RCotS was the one that was compatible with SexLab and all that weird stuff (which is one of the reasons it was removed from here). SkyKids is simply a custom race like any other custom race. Except it is flagged as a custom child race. It has no incompatibilities like what you are mentioning, since it doesn't affect anything else. It works like any other custom race, just has the child flag is all. It is not compatible with SexLab (SexLab checks the child flag which SkyKids uses). RCotS on the other hand....

But I just tested the scripts (sorry for the delay, just woke up) and they work great. No more kids running around in bondage gear lol. So thank you again, really appreciate it.

The mistake is mostly on my end, as using adult clothes (merchant clothes, bartender clothes, etc) on the kids was bound to have issues. But I just wanted variety in their appearance. But I appreciate you taking the time to find a work around with your mod for the issue that I was having. Thanks again. :)

No problem, I will have a new version out sometime tomorrow with these scripts.

Thanks, worked like a charm! Been played with those restaints on my char for a couple of weeks now and was not able to find another solution to get rid of them. But now, they are off! :D Ready for another way to get kinky now! lol

I have updated the mod with the new scripts to keep kids from Skykids (or any other mod that uses adult outfits on kids) from getting devices. I have also added rings to more outfits so most everyone can end up with items. I would suggest turning off the chance of Special NPC's from getting gags and such.

Is new Ebonite items support added to the mod?

Not yet. It will take some rewriting on the MCM menu and the Random generator to add.

@Vel

I assume there's no point in updating if just using DDfTM for key generation (I'm a great believer in "if it ain't broke don't fix it" :) )

It isn't necessary to update unless you use Skykids or don't need other npc's with items (mostly named npc's).

I have updated all my LL mods to their latest versions. ( SL, Dev Devices, FtM, Submit, Sub+DD, and Captured Dreams) All work fine but FtM items are now not appearing anywhere, ever. Here is what i've tried so far.

New game, new character

FtM last in load order

Set spawn rate in MCM to 100% and traveled around to new locations checking NPC's for items ( nothing )

Having the MCM menu but no devices stumps me! I'm sure it's my fault but I just can't figure this one out.

Oh yeah, read that this affects armor and clothing, the only armor mod I use is Nightasy's skimpy armors. Tried with it uninstalled but no difference.

Thanks for any advice, FtM and CD complement each other so well!

The only mods this will conflict with is any that change the outfits themselves (few do). To check if it is working do the following:

Select an npc, one of the standard npc's walking around a city is the best.

Open the console and select the npc

resurrect them (don't close the console yet!)

use showinventory on them and look for a glowing ring (this is what adds the items)

close the console and see if items are added

If not, open the console and check their inventory again and see if the ring is there or not.

If it is then the scripts are not working at all, if not then the script ran.

you can resurrect them several times to see if it gives them an item.

If none of this works, upload a papyrus log and I will take a look for errors.
