I've been getting these weird glowing rings lately btw, and when I want to equip it, they just disappear from my inventory.

 

I think it's part of dd? They started appearing after updating the dd stuff a while ago, just can't figure out what those rings do, anyone can give me a hint? :o

 

those are part of the "For the Masses" mod. They're totally useless to the player, so if you find any, just leave them be.

As Grand Mage of the collage, with 100 skill on both Destruction and Restoration Magic, the orc needs to listen to me! Also when he slips it on, with 100 skill Destruction, should of shot that lock 1000 miles away... There is always a hack saw, or the forge, also 100 skill, could of destroyed the lock there... I will NEVER submit! Found a work around, sure, failed the "give into ugly's demands" but I could care less! Sides, I wanted the belts and such for my Fallowers, to keep them in line and ready for when I am.

I wanted to tell something that happened in my game, it is probably not problem but was strange - i did steal the book but not talk to the Orc about it, so quest has not started - But when i pass by Saarthal it said "Zed is not here".

Got a bit of a problem here. Reinstalled all my sexlab mods then all the devious devices. Testing in order and all works fine. I make a new character with live a deviant life and all is well. Then somewhere it's gonew rong overnight for god knows what reason and now when I start a new game everything loads fine but Devious Devices MCM menu won't show any options. I click it the thing is blank and then the menu stops functioning. I've got everything in the right order as it worked literally yesterday!

 

Do you know what could cause the MCM menu not to open correctly for this mod? All the other mods MCM's are fine. Even devious devices for the masses the MCM menu opens up. It just doesn't have anything in the side options bars. Whereas selecting DD it doesn't even show the logo or side menus.

I just got to Zed and he changed the chastity belt, and I cast a FireBolt 2 and I was pretty much unable to move for 5min or so, is that intended? it seems really long and make the game almost unplayable :/

Is there any chance for "cursed" devious gear to make it into the game?

 

What I mean is (this should be an option in the menu ofcourse) if you pick up or pickpocket a gag or armbinder, there is a chance that it's cursed (you have no idea of seeing if it is, otherwise it would defeat the purpose!) and you euhmm ... to keep it "lorefriendly" I dunno you feel compelled to put it on by a daedric influence that is present on the item, and it locks into place ... ofcourse a second later your mind is clear again and you are now stuck with a gag or plugs with a belt or armbinder on your body that you didn't intend to wear, so you now have to find a key to get it off :P

The more Magicka a spell takes to cast the longer / stronger the vibrations on any plugs that respond to a player casting a spell.

It would not be difficult to make an item equip on picking it up and is something that could be added as a separate mod or added to For the Masses. I don't think Min is looking to add items to the world randomly using Integration.

what he could do is add support for a "cursed" keyword that automatically equips when it is looted.  this would enable modders to make custom cursed gear

Ah, I had forgotten about that quirk. Someone reported that quite a while ago, will add it to the list of things to fix.

5 minutes is far more than was intended: If you're repeatedly casting the spell however, it will increase the duration per cast. Post a copy of your Papyrus.0.log if you believe that you have encountered an error.

I did have an idea for something along those lines: For a specific set of cursed devices, that would interact with the player as they went about their adventures. It's been put off due to other development plans, however.

How does one find their papyrus log?

 

As for the Items, its sometimes a ring, and sometimes a mod item, the dwemer scouter from this mod....http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20178/?

 

 

 

Open Skyrim.ini (My Documents/My Games/Skyrim) and add the following to it:

 

[Papyrus]

fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0

bEnableLogging=1

bEnableTrace=1

bLoadDebugInformation=1

 

Afterward, in that same folder you will see a new folder called Logs. Inside that: Script. Inside Script you will (eventually) find 4 logs. Double click and they should open with notepad or any text editor. Papyrus.0.log is the most recent. At the end of it you will see the last process to happen before the crash.

 

You will need to zip the log to upload it.

Well...I've done as you instructed.

 

A few issues though.

 

1.) Its not a game crash. Its an annoying glitch. The armbiner just appears in my inventory and locks my arms when I unequip the dwemer scouter.

 

2.) I've now got the log folder. I ran the game, unequipped the scouter, got my arms bound...then quit out. I opened the log folder...and there's nothing inside. There's no script folder showing up in the log folder.

Well...I've done as you instructed.

 

A few issues though.

 

1.) Its not a game crash. Its an annoying glitch. The armbiner just appears in my inventory and locks my arms when I unequip the dwemer scouter.

 

2.) I've now got the log folder. I ran the game, unequipped the scouter, got my arms bound...then quit out. I opened the log folder...and there's nothing inside. There's no script folder showing up in the log folder.

 

Push ` to activate the console commands and type DPS and then save.

 

 

You can manually generate a log anytime you want by typing DPS on the console.

Hi all! First of all, I have to thank you all on the DD team for an amazing mod. The latest version I tried dates back from Dec., and despite a bit of unstability was amazing. I am looking forward to try out this last version with all the new goodies!

 

Now on for a few ideas. My almost non-existent experience with modding and lack of time prevent me from offering anything more substantial, unfortunately...

 

The first one comes from my relatively extensive use of Submit, in all of it's beastial glory. As much as I love the effects of the plugs and belts, they also remove some of the fun from Submit.

So, why couldn't we have plugs appropriately shaped to prevent them slipping out when worn without belt, while still allowing for removal when needed? Of course this wouldn't mean the poor (N)PC would have the ability to remove it herself, as bindings limit access to the inventory. But it would allow a would-be rapist to have its way...

 

The second one stems from my interest in pregnancy mods... Inflatable devices needn't be leaky. And when sufficiently inflated, will not easily slip out, regardless of the existence of a belt. We could have a variety of plugs that will inflate a bit more for each squeeze of the pump, and can only be deflated using a specific valve (a key if you will). At first, they would slip out in the absence of a belt, but give it a few squeezes, and it will stay in place, though possible to pull out with strength. Even more squeezes, and only deflating them with the valve will let you remove them. The more squeezes, the more inflation, the more extreme the effect on the recipient. And tying this to belly inflation would make it a very interesting torture device... ;)

I did some hunting. Seems messy logs like this are normal with Frostfall running, as well as RND.

That order was generated by running BOSS.

 

I did have to move the new version of USKP and UDGP though. As BOSS put them too low in the order for some reason.

Did you try to unequip the armbinder in this log? Or is this you reproducing the bug by unequipping the item from the other mod?

If the former, please provide a log in which you only reproduce the bug. If the latter, it looks as if the armbinder script somehow ended up attached to the item from the other mod: there's nothing within DD that would produce that effect, and I've no idea how it would occur. Does the issue persist for you in a new game?

 

Also, you're hitting a stack dump (Caused by your other mods) 9 seconds after the bug is reproduced: Never a good sign!
