Actually that was what i was trying to point out.A complete fool-proof solution is impossible. dkatryl had a nice saying about fool-proof stuff in his Submit thread, that goes straight to the point of time-spent -> useability.

However i dont know how to initiate any bondage sex scenes. i am playing a male character so im not sure if that is the problem. also while im at it, since the ppl here seem to know alot more abt this than me, i need to ask seveal questions abt other sexlab mods. i have: sexlab submit ""aroused ""aroused animations ""romance and "" lovers comfort Zaz animations Devious devices devious devices-intergration and devious devices dream captured dreams in the sex lab mcm menu, there are a good many number of animations but i can only use a certain few when talking to my female followers. the animations are allunder the dialouge option "hold on, i have to discuss something with you" and "i need to ask a favour my friend". i have registered the animations and also have all the required mods installed and activated. is there any mod that i have to install or somthing i have to do ingame? any and all advice is appreciated. and thanks in advance.
Aegis Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 I actually prefer loose files over bsa, and here are some reasons why: 1) Loose files make it much easier for me to quickly locate and modify a specific file within a mod, without having to first extract the bsa. This is especially useful when the user wishes to make adjustments while the game is running. 2) BSA archives can actually mask potential conflicts. For instance, consider two mod that does different things, but both modify, say, 'chair.nif'. With loose files, I'd be able to realize the conflict right away during installation, but with BSAs, it's much harder to realize the conflict unless I open both up and compare the various elements (probably the reason why SMIM uses loose files). 3) As far as script is concerned, putting everything in a BSA actually makes it harder to troubleshoot potential scripting issues. For instance, if the log returns errors on '11111.psc', and I have no idea which mod this '11111.psc' belongs to, then it's much harder for me to hunt down the script amongst, say, 50 BSA archives, than to simply go into the scripts folder and pull up the problematic script (and hopefully the script source). Those are just a few things I thought of on top of my head; BSA is not the magical panacea, it's nothing more than a folder to hold all your clutters, and it's just not realistic to expect every user to be able to cleanly remove all the loose files before adopting the bsa release structure (I have seen modders go from BSA to loose files, but very, very rarely the other way around, due to all the potential issues). Besides, it only takes a few clicks to pack the loose files into a BSA, and everyone so inclined can easily do it in a matter of seconds.

You forget the reduced load time and not so cluttered file system when usng BSAs. imo it's still completly up to the modder and what she/he prefers, as everyone who prefers BSAs can easily create them themself. Getting a stable game when modding can't be archived by just installing a mod. TES5Edit, Wrye Bash, BSAOpt, DDSOpt and other tools are needed to actually get the compatibility and stability that everyone wants to have, when modding Skyrim.
Aegis Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 Well, I use Wyre Bash, so I can't speak for MO since I have never used it before. I do suspect, however, that most users still use NMM for their mod management needs (some might still be using Skyrim launcher), and NMM certainly does not have features such as checking BSA archives for inter-conflicts. Also, I'm just speaking from my experiences, as I find BSAs to be generally annoying to deal with, and I certainly do not want to unpack/repack every time I expand/modify my mods. While I understand the benefits of putting all the clutters into a BSA, it's a pain whenever I want to pull up a specific file. I do use BSA for large landscape/texture replacers, since that's where I'd benefit the most from this reduced load time (if any), but for smaller, script-heavy mods, there are no observable performance difference between the different formats anyways...

I had read someplace that coming back later and talking to Urag would start the quest, but that's not happening. How do I start the quest in this situation? I case it's relevant, I'm running version 2.6.5. TIA Indeed, assuming you took the book while unbelted, Urag should have a new dialogue option that will start the quest. If you were belted when you took it, drop the book, and pick it back up again. Perhaps that's it, when I talked to him I did not have the book in my possession. I'll try getting it and then talking to him again. Thanks!

jbezorg Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I keep running into soulgem plug vibration infinite loops. I have to enter console and enable player controls ( command: epc ) to stop it. Odd. Which version are you running? Can you post a log of the loop occurring? What are you doing when it occurs? Actually traced it to SD+ and the fact that I didn't remove my development scripts for SD1. The conflict between versions caused a race condition that caused papyrus to crap out. Can't try out SD+ on the save now but I at least salvaged it so it's still playable.

I found I should go to Winterhold colleage Arcanum and read a book in a bookshelf. The problem is if I have not joined the college, the guard in front of the college gate will not let me in. I want to join the college but I cannot talk to her. So, when my character is gagged, how can she enter the Arcanum to read the book? thanks!
Aranessa Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 When u approach the college first time and try and pass the woman guarding the bridge she auto talks to you and if u buy the spell from her u wont break the dialogue and should be able to get past her assuming u can cast the spell, worked for me.

Min Posted February 7, 2014 Author Posted February 7, 2014 I have an odd bug right now where nothing really works, with the exception of the belt. So like the Arm Binders don't place my characters arms in them, the Gags have no menu options and can be taken on and off without issue or a key for that matter. o.O I have updated everything to the latest version, and I know I'm not using the non scripted versions of these items =\ Going to assume that you meant the opposite of what you said: "I know I'm using the scripted versions of these items". Did you update from 2.6.5 to 2.6.6 within the same savegame? Post a copy of your Papyrus.0.log. Yes I meant to say I know I'm not using the unscripted versions of these items. As for the update, yes I'm using the same save game after I updated, and I am trying to figure out how to make a Papyrus log now o.o Alright I've attached my Papyrus log. I've gone over it and I don't see why these should all be broken. =\ The items don't even work in the coc ctest cell. =\ I'm not seeing your log anywhere. Meh apparently it didn't attach, and it won't let me upload it at all. So I'm just going to copy paste it in the spoiler, cause I'm about 600% done with this already. For future reference, compress logs via zip/rar/etc in order to upload them as attachments to these forums. I don't see anything particularly wrong with DD in this log: Verify that the items work for you in a new game (I know you said they don't work in the coc ctest cell: Does this mean that they don't work for you in a new game? Verify that you're accessing the items via crafting, and not via console, to ensure that you're not using the wrong items). If they do work in a new game, but not in your existing game, the reason it's not working is probably because you updated from 2.6.5 to 2.6.6 within the same savegame (Something that you received a warning not to do). If they don't work in the new game either, try reinstalling the mod.

I want to join the college but I cannot talk to her. So, when my character is gagged, how can she enter the Arcanum to read the book? thanks! The gag does not prevent forcegreets from other NPC's. You should still be able to join via the standard interaction.

Since you can't buy one off a merchant without talking to them. To Moonlove: I'd suggest installing some other mods to get around this problem. There's a devices+gags mod which lets you talk to npcs with a gag on so long as you have a quill and paper in your inventory. And there's the devices for the masses mod which lets you add device keys at random to bandits, npcs, and the like. Or you could go for a mod which lets you craft lockpicks and tackle the problem that way. I'm kind of curious how the equation for unlocking without a key works. I'm trying to figure out the best setting for the difficulty number such that every attempt has some small chance of success. Here's my guess. L = base lockpicking level, R = random number up to 100, D = difficulty of device removal from the mcm settings. if( L + R > D ) unlock So if I start at lvl 15 lockpicking and I wanted to have a 1% chance of removing a device with lockpicks at that level, I'd want to set the difficulty at about 114. Is that about right? Only for the magic version it uses destruction magic level and for strength it uses one handed or something?

I second that. Also,having some vibrator toys without the need of the chastity belt for those like me using ADEC body.Right now,it's like trying to make wear kids size clothes to a woman.

You have to factor in arousal level aswell, because that matters (the more arousal, the harder it gets, although i've no idea by how much it gets harder). So you'd have to aim lower than that for it to still be possible (when belted and plugged, you can't get rid of accumulated arousal, as far as i can tell), a setting of 90 perhabs? Not really sure.. Personally, i'd preferr a more transparent system where we could set a static percentage value. That'd be a lot easier to work with

Is that about right? Only for the magic version it uses destruction magic level and for strength it uses one handed or something? You have to factor in arousal level aswell, because that matters (the more arousal, the harder it gets, although i've no idea by how much it gets harder). So you'd have to aim lower than that for it to still be possible (when belted and plugged, you can't get rid of accumulated arousal, as far as i can tell), a setting of 90 perhabs? Not really sure.. Personally, i'd preferr a more transparent system where we could set a static percentage value. That'd be a lot easier to work with Starting with it set at 90 will give a starting character a small chance of picking the lock but it can be done. Typically once I pick one of the locks I raise the difficulty by 10 - 20 for the next time.

That'd be a lot easier to work with Earlier in this thread (page 99) I made a suggestion to add another option to the difficulty setting. It would allow you to change how much easier it gets to pick the lock once you pass the difficulty threshold. As Cicein illustrated, right now you gain another 1% chance to succeed for every point in lockpicking. I also like to have a small chance to escape, but it quickly grows into a very easy chance to escape at that rate. But what if you could set it so you only get a 0.5% better chance each skill point? Or even just a 0.1% chance per point? You could have a small chance of getting out at low levels without making it too easy to get out just by getting your lockpicking skill to 25. You could even get your skill to 100 and it wouldn't be too easy to escape, depending on your setting. Maybe that would be a bit closer to what you're looking for? I think such a setting would be a good way to let people customize the difficulty to their liking, but at the moment, Veladarius' idea is the best way of having a chance to escape at all levels without making it too easy.
