Min Posted January 27, 2014 Author Posted January 27, 2014 I really was hoping I didn't have to ask a question about this, but I am stuck (again). I have a chastity belt and bra on and have made my way to the College of Winterhold. I have found the bookshelf, but when I try to access it, it says I need a key to unlock it. It does not give me the option to pick the lock. Urag sees me and doesn't say anything when I "try" to open it. Obviously I can't try because I don't have a key nor can I pick the lock. He has no unique dialogue concerning this. The only other issue I have, concerns the arm binds. Everytime they are put on, I have a repetitive "clicking" noise that never goes away until I remove the arm binds. That is secondary though (I can remove them eventually). But without the forbidden tome, I cannot remove the belt. My only alternative is a console cheat to unlock the bookshelf. Where is the key? I hoped to pick pocket it from Urag, but he does not have it. GAH! Any help is appreciated, and thanks for the awesome mod. No problem, . The key (And an accompanying note) are on Urag's desk, in the Arcaneum. I'm not sure why you would hear a clicking noise from the arm cuffs (Or did you mean armbinder? If so, rerun FNIS: That issue was fixed 4-5 versions ago). I believe it's the arm binder (the one that binds your arms behind your back and prevents you from doing anything even accessing your inventory). FNIS is version 4.1. I'm not having an animation issue at all. The animation is solid. But I hear a sound (like the stuff being equipped). It replays every 2 seconds. It does not do that with anything other than the armbinder. Oh, and thank you so much for the fast help. I can't believe how fast. I am very grateful. The earlier version(s) of the armbinder animation had a bug that would cause a noise to play repeatedly while it was being played. All my sexlab mods are new. I just recently ran across them all (like 2 weeks ago), so I doubt my version is very old. I normally download the latest mod unless told to otherwise. Do you know what the name of the animation file is? So I found the key, and was able to access the forbidden bookshelf. But Urag doesn't care even though he sees me. I'm probably misinterpreting how the quest should start, or perhaps the problem is I already have a chastity belt on. I'll keep hammering away at it. The name of the animation file is "ZaZAPArmBZaDOFF01.hkx". If you've recently installed (Within 2 weeks), your issue probably isn't what I thought it was. Thinking about it, you likely have another script trying to equip something (Fists/Unarmed, from SPERG or some such?) constantly, which is failing and producing the noise. And yeah, the quest won't start if you're already belted (To avoid obvious dialogue inconsistencies). Rewriting the starting trigger for that quest is on my todo list. That quest was one of the only ways of having a belt forced on the player when I wrote it, so it wasn't much of an issue then. Obviously, the starting conditions for that quest haven't aged well . EDIT: You can start the quest after you've removed the belt by dropping / picking the book back up.

Not going to commit to dates/deadlines for a hobby project. I've had an idea for such a system in the works: "Devices Underneath", or some such, that would be used for devices such as nipple clamps / piercings. I'm having a lot of fun with this mod in conjunction with the Submit and LADL mods but as I still have yet to be able to unlock the blindfold in all my attempts, I end up watching a flickering screen as bandits have their way with my pc. I usually end up turning off the settings in the Zaz MCM temporarily but that is less than ideal.

Just change the the auto equip of the "fists" to manual equip in the mcm menu. That solves the problem with the clicking sounds. It's under fixes and compatibillity. I had the same problem with sperg and the armbinder. This also caused an incompatibillity with Sanguines Debauchery, which can be fixed the same way.

That would allow for all the crafting options including keys then? Correct. Reading that book will grant you the ability to craft all of the devices (With their accompanying keys) added by this mod.
Min Posted January 28, 2014 Author Posted January 28, 2014 New version is up: 2.6.6 Definitively fixed the bug with RepopulateNPC's that could lead to mod-wide script suspension.. Potions are now blocked while wearing a gag. Ring gags now permit eating food / drink / potions. Several new optimizations for the mod For The Masses. Integration is now an esm, rather than an esp. Given the communities growing interest in developing mods that use the devices added by this mod, v2.6.6 is now an ESM, rather than an ESP. What this means for you, the user, is that this version can't be safely updated within the same game. Furthermore, this update requires that all mods that are dependent upon this one (All of the recommended mods) release an updated version as well. This should happen within the day, be patient. Please be aware, that this update is only available for new games. Updating from 2.6.5 to 2.6.6 within the same save is officially unsupported. Veladarius will be posting a guide later though, to teach you the steps necessary to perform this update within an existing savegame. Doing so is an "At your own risk" procedure for which I won't be offering support.

Here are the instructions if you want to TRY to update your save game: Integration ESM Save update.pdf If you don't follow these instructions if you try to update Integration will be broken! There are no guarantees that even if you follow these instructions that it will work properly. I had some success with it but I did notice some issues when doing this.
pinky6225 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Just downloaded the new version of devious devices and captured dreams and started a new game and it says 2.66 is starting at the top but then when everything has finished loading the MCM menu for devious devices is blank.
matekun Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Hey,I just tested this mod a few days and found it amazing.Normally I'm not a fan of leather,gags and that kind of stuff but I liked it in this mod.Now,some things I noticed during gameplay in the 2.6.5I started the quest but the key was missing from the table,I even reloaded the save but still not there.After closing the game and restarted it again worked,now it was there...Reading the book that shows how to craft the items don't worked to me unless I readed from inventory and not in the bookshelf.Having 2 chastity belt same type in inventory with one of them equipped caused a bug to me when I was sended to prison.After serving my time and sleeping in the bed the game tried to put me the belt again and the message about not being able to wear multiple belts pop up and opened the menu like if I clicked in the belt in inventory.I choosed carry on and noticed that I was able to drop all chastity belts but it was like I had another one (invisible for menu but visible in character) still equipped.I was unable to remove it until I did the removeallitems command.Also tried to give soulgem plugs to my follower with a chastity belt.All seemed ok,everytime I gave her an item the message showed up correctly,first the plugs then the belt and finally the armbinder.Then I tried the devious spell but nothing worked,I checked and saw that she didn't equipped the plugs.I used the equipitem command and it worked but no response from her to the spell.I started to think that she was frigid but checked in the console and found another version of the soulgem plugs called enchanted and tried it.Removed the normal soul plugs and forced her to wear the enchanted version and this fixed it for me.....If you are still here I have a couple of doubts.Can't found how to trigger the EffectElectroShock.And can't make npcs hear the vibrator sound no matter what I try.I really liked all the levels of arousal,the moans and the thunderous release,I though she was about to die of pleasure XD.A lot of details in this mod.Thank you.

volfin Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I only asked because they made such a big fuss about upgrading from ESP to ESM. But after doing it, I see it was much ado about nothing. The upgrade works fine with no flaws or ill effects whatsoever. I tried every restraint, ran them all through their paces, and everything works, with no script errors or problems. So Perhaps they should tone down the "OMG it's gonna break!" stuff a bit.

The change to an ESM makes a great deal of sense, as this mod has become a framework in its own right, and such a change definitely will improve other modder's work! Cant start without the esp tried everything i get ctd when i start Either your load order is incorrect or you are using another DD mod that has not been updated to account for the change to an ESM, yet. Has anyone ever seen a CTD at start/menu that wasn't the user's error? I haven't.
