Should be safe to update within the same save-game: Just copy/paste the new files over the existing.

Don't update if you're in the middle of the forbidden tome quest.

 

Both the expansion and Integration have updated: don't forget to get both!

 

New Version is up: 2.8.0

  • Mod initialization is now delayed until after a save/load cycle, to help alleviate mod initialization failure for some users
  • Desyncs can now be fixed without the use of the console, by just re-equipping the device.
  • Fixed blindfold third person controls issue post-sex.

  • New System: Devices Underneath. This fully mcm-configurable system will hide worn items (Without unequipping them) on a slot-by-slot basis. Comes default configured to hide chastity-bra's when something is equipped on the body slot. Use the MCM menu to configure it to hide whatever you like, whenever you like: Undies, various armor pieces, jewelry, piercings, etc.

  • Added creature support to the animation filter, now that proper tags are in place.
  • Fixed a number of bugs with actor array resizing in the animation filter.

I've begun moving some functions to the new SKSE plugin, in order to improve performance / accomplish things that would be impossible through straight-papyrus. So far, the logic for ReEquipExistingDevices has been moved. Users with massive numbers of items will see significant (90%) performance increases when interacting with / equipping devices.

  • Added Periodic plug arousal-timerate increase. This is mostly to offset the Aroused formula change. Still tweaking this number.
  • Added a number of new functions (Thanks Lordescobar666) to zadLibs, to facilitate the manipulation of devices by loose paramaters.

  • The Expansion now fully supports UNPB bodies, as well as CBBE.

  • New Bain/fomod installer for the expansion.
  • New script for the expansion, to help modders easily manipulate the new devices (Thanks Srende).

Ok found a possible bug with Expansion probably. Deleted the old Integration by hand, just in case, slapped on the new one. Installed Expansion etc etc. Added UNPB meshes.

 

Everything works fine on a save, except the light's really bright, so I turn the camera and it disappears. Probably not related to this but I don't know, it does have the blindfold effect.

Check the new menu, the new tab has one item Bra something/something - that's really long and cuts into the rest of the text making it hard to read.

 

Anyway serious bug. Console up the expansion items to see what's there. Boots work fine, although main description should mention they use HDT I guess? Forget if there was a second item but if there was it must have worked fine. Get to the harness, put it on, CTD. Okie dok. Reload, remove a collar I'm wearing - Integration wouldn't let you put pieces on that occupied the same slots, so I figure ok, maybe it's just wigging out on that. But nope, CTD again. Third try, remove everything on me including weapon - CTD. Reinstall Expansion and try again. CTD.

 

EDIT: a few things need editing. Um yeah, the light itself doesn't have a blindfold effect, just that the blindfold adds a filter and well this looks nothing like it but well, bright light. Loaded another save, no light so it's just some temporary ENB thing, well it is temporary anyway.

 

Aaand almost forgot the second important part. The description on the harness says something about accentuating breasts, or somesuch? I do have a recent XPMS skeleton, and TBBP meshes, so if it was going to possibly mess with the breast bones, it should be able to handle that? But maybe something got left out in the move from CBBE. I dunno.

Oh look, an overly entitled user that failed to read the posts directly around his is making sarcastic posts. How dross.

 

tl;dr: This was a known issue for ages: Skyrim's Enchantments are terribly implemented. The NPC's system was rewritten to no longer rely on them. An update that fixes this is planned to be released within a few hours.

if this already been answered, then just point to which page instead of ignoring or making rude answer.

 

btw, you could put this known issue on first post so an overly entitled user would know what is the problem.

I'll just start a new reply since the harness would seem to be a bigger issue. I tested the other two harnesses, same thing.

I tried the custom blindfold after getting a CTD with custom harness. Worked like it should - stripped my headgear and applied blindfold effect. When trying on custom harness and locking slave harness, you get a message box, clicking that you get it repeated and then it crashes. I don't think the regular slave harness even got to message box part.

Min, since the Devices Underneath is player only, I've noticed that since I play a male character with custom armor, the hiding slot 52 doesn't seem to work, and just out of curiosity, does the new functions detect the player sex, I've noticed there isn't an entry for Bras on mine and the arm cuffs seem to be missing a MCM menu entry.

Just tested all three items locally, with no problem.

 

 

No screenshot possible, already saved over it. Think it was just volumetric fog from a certain angle acting weird with the ENB or something.

 

As for harness. I tested it with another character, started off with custom harness. What the hell, my body mesh went invisible in the inventory screen background, and I had to click the message box twice as usual, but it actually worked. But then I tried the regular slave harness and it just crashed immediately. I dunno what's up. Disabled HDT PE because it's been crash prone with a badly configured .xml file, but that didn't make a difference. :(

Nope, nothing within the new system cares about the player's gender. Are you sure that you're not overlooking the slot 59 entry (Armcuffs / arm binders)?. Post a screenshot?

 

Regarding the mention of it not working for slot 52: The visual appearance of the character isn't updated until your inventory is closed, unless QueueNiNodeUpdate() is used (Though, that comes with drawbacks: See the help text for that option in the MCM). Are you sure that you did so when testing your changes?

Does the new version conflict with dual sheath redux? Dual sheath redux stopped working for me after updating.

 

If dual sheath redux uses slot 60, then it could be getting unequipped by the device hider. Change the slot for it to something else, via the MCM menu (That's why it's a configurable option).

Yup, just verified locally that the SoS object is uneffected by hiding slot 52: Presumably, it uses a different method to render on the actor (I'm not actually sure how it works, haven't looked in to it).

 

However, you did point out that part of the menu is truncated for you: I'll split that over two mcm-pages.

For some reason the devices menu is no longer available and devices don't get installed on new deviant starts.   not sure how to get a papyrus log but I have my loot load order.

There's a broken mesh in Devious Expansion 1.1.0, the UNPB version of the "Custom Slave Harness" was not cleaned and contained an .obj file used durring development, that's a non-functional NiTriShape and this is what's causing the crash.

 

I've just submitted a working version to Min to be uploaded as Devious Expansion v1.1.1.

 

 

In the meantime, for those of you who have installed the UNPB option, here is a hotfix:

UNPB-Fix.7z

It's a drag and drop install, say yes to overwrite!

For some reason the devices menu is no longer available and devices don't get installed on new deviant starts.   not sure how to get a papyrus log but I have my loot load order.

Without a copy of the log, I can't troubleshoot your problem. Also, please use spoiler tags for things like your load order.

after reinstalling everything, I noticed my character cant speedrun now when wearing the leg cuff.

I was wondering if that effect can be configured (as in disabled) ?

That's not an effect that the stock leg-cuffs from DD add.
