If you can't hide files from specific users, then maybe there should be a new policy that limits how many new mod pages one can create in a certain amount of time? Like no more than a few per day/week. 10 at the most.

I agree the guy flooding Skyrim is getting ridiculous.

Nearly same looking puppet uploaded 40+ times so far... Now imagine that whenever owner decides to "update" this herd by changing just one word in description - he can easily hide any actually usable mod that has been published/updated. Essentially easiest way to control the site without being an owner. I guess asking for ignore per file object or including files in global user ignore is in best interest of everyone.

so, you scared him away. He cluttered the new files section a bit. So what ?

THIS throws a bad light onto the "Community".

That's another point why the site needs "ignore users's files" option.

I'm not certain that this is really needed. There isn't an issue the vast majority of the time. And with the poster you're discussing, he did post about 10 new mods per day for a week. He would have eventually ran out of his stockpile and it would've stopped naturally. I don't think there was an intend to block the download list.

There have been cases before where a mod author posted a bunch of mods in a short amount of time. Usually, that was because the author was active on another platform and wanted to move their mods to here. A posting restriction like this would also impact those authors, and I don't think we want to scare them away with an annoying delay like this unless we have a real structural issue.

Ultimately, I think leaving the rules as is would be perfectly fine. And if there ever is a malicious poster who aims to disrupt the site, I'll trust the admin to make a judgement call.

More options to personalise the feed is always nice, but is it actually needed? It's not like we have hundreds of new files per day. The skyrim SE download has 25 posts per page, a week's worth of content is about 2 pages long. So even with the large amount of new mods, that would only have made it about 4 pages for the week.

Right, that seems to have been the case here.  That author has a lot of mods on Nexus and was moving them here.  The negative attitudes expressed toward that apparently caused the guy to remove all of them.  LoversLab now has less content and one less active mod author.  If he hadn't been scared away, he would have run out of mods to bring over, and the situation would have returned to normal.

So, I agree that unless posting is malicious, there's no need to restrict it.  We should be welcoming to mod authors.  If it's practical to add, a filter or blocking feature would allow members to screen out content that doesn't interest them.
