Skyrim AE for Beginners - V 3.1.0

There's zero interactivity with the note and no + sign anywhere. Just plain text in light blue cell.

I assume a click should open some sort of pop-up window or move me to a cell with a note. Either way, it fails at doing what it should.

Both in M$ XLS and Libre Calc.

Only nexus links work as intended.

I have a problem with some of the creature sex animation not playing (the animation part of the character works and its only some creature. Horse works for example (but is misaligned), wolf and sabre cat not).

I found an old bug report on GitHub for an older version of Pandora with that error.

I used the 2.6 version from GitHub not the 2.4 version on nexus. Maybe i have to downgrade?

Fixed it by installing version 2.4 instead of 2.6

Thanks. That is an answer i was waiting for. It makes no sense to work further on something possibly broken...

OK. It should look like this (added pink to mark it):

I hope its only a problem with the version of the converted file.

Next files for testing:

MS Office (for 2007-365)

Skyrim AE MS Office II.7z

Libre Office (newest version)

Skyrim AE Libre Office.7z

Oh, another question:

Can MS Office natively open the ODS format?

Working off of a copy of Office 365 that came with my Windows install, both files let me expand the note. That said, I did have to click on the annoying 'Enable Editing' prompt for it to work. I could do this straight out of the 7zip application, no unzipping required. I have not attempted to save it, so I don't know if that will work without unzipping the files properly.

Chances are if you want to save it, it will then ask you where you want to save it, that is what usually happens to me when I edit a file from an un-extracted archive file then go to save it.

So i did everything and downloaded all i wanted and ran dyndolod but i completely skipped the grass cache part. I noticed i forgot it when i loaded my game. Now i did it all again but made the grass cache again making sure the old files were gone and all. So now the grass does load further, but its all basic skyrim grass. None of my flora overhauls/grass overhauls are used and i have no clue why. In the images you can see the grass loading further but the mods not being used anymore. Now i dont really know what to do, if anyone has an idea or direction they can send me please let me know

I have Libre Office and both your Libre and MS files open and work ok. I have been using Libre for your builds since your first FO4 build. I do use a worksheet for each of your categories and number your category separators [Aylis - (2) SKSE, Aylis - (3) UI, Aylis - (4) Meshes]. I also added a column to match the MO2 left panel priority. I find it easier to maintain as each update comes out.

Yes. I'm using Excel 2013, and it opens fine. There may be some issues around dates, headers and footers, and data validation, but for the most part Excel shouldn't have to much problem with ODS. I'd also be surprised if LibreOffice has many issues with xlsx files, probably the same ones Excel has with ODS.

@help123451

1. Big pictures belong in spoilers.

2. Did you follow the procedure for updating DynDOLOD?

@Skjall @newb50 @trgdolors @Yrral @misterpipes

Thanks a lot for all the informations. Looks like I can skip the extra file for Excel then (less work for me). 😁

As we say here 'Those who know the meaning of work, and don't weasel away (when it comes up), are insane' (Wer Arbeit kennt, und sich nicht drückt, der ist verrückt). 🤣

Hello,

Just curious why this guide suggests disabling the DynDOLOD NG DLL for normal gameplay? Doesn't that DLL control dynamic LOD and provide a number of important bug fixes? Not sure if I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks.

Can confirm what others said. Excel + note is now clickable, and an ODS file opens without any problems too. And has a working + note. In Excel, that is.

An afterthought,

Maybe it would be better to add a note in a cell where there's more info needed: Like this image here

That's a Skyhud cell with bonus note, made in Libre and opened in Excel. Simply hovering over the text makes it pop up. It's more visible than tiny + on the left.

Hmm, is it no longer necessary to use SSELODGenx64?, I see that it is no longer included in the guide but I still build it anyway. Does DynDoLOD finally take care of generating the terrain LOD as well?

I'm having two issues, One is that the aspect ratio is wrong, and the second is that the game crashes a couple of seconds after i spawn. I couldn't figure out what you meant by DEACTIVATE the under DynDOLOD listed mods before running the game! Maybe it has something to do with that.

On the left pane of mo2, each mod that is active has a tick in the box next to it when active, those it says deactivate before playing simply un tick before playing.

Quick question regarding grass and grass cache.
Generated grass cache with NGIO without problems.
And I have grass ingame, but no grass in Whiterun city. Only the altered vanilla plants and added plants/bushes from other mods.
Shouldn't there be some grass inside Whiterun?

Another question regarding missing voiced lines audio gone missing.

TLDR: What risks are there with verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam? What I fear is ruining the entire modding process (and a couple of months of modding work), having to start all over with a fresh install of Skyrim. But verifying might bring back the missing audio of the vanilla NPCs in Whiterun.

All NPC's in Whiterun have lost their initial triggered voiced lines. Meaning the initial, and longer, voiced lines that occur after pressing "E" the first few times you talk to an NPC you haven't spoken to before or haven't spoken to for a while.
Other voiced lines, both initial short lines like "Yes?" etc. and voiced lines deeper in the dialogue tree are working as expected.

Some examples:

Farengar Secret-Fire
Voiced lines with audio missing (yet lips are moving and subtitles show):
- Come to Dragonsreach to Discuss the ongoing hostilities, like the rest of the "great warriors"?
- It seems this damnable conflict has claimed everyone's passions of late. Me, I prefer my books, and my spells.

Farengar Secret-Fire
Voiced lines still working as expected:
- I believe I am, yes. Technically speaking, of course. The city is also home to a priest, priestess, an alchemist, and I'm sure others who parctice. (triggered by the dialogue choice "Are you the only wizard in Whiterun?")
- Need something? (triggered by pressing "E" to start a conversation and having already heard the initial triggered longer voiced lines recently).

Arcadia
Voiced lines with audio missing (yet lips are moving and subtitles show):
- You look rather pale. Could be Ataxia. It's quite a problem home in Cyrodil.

Arcadia
Voiced lines still working as expected:
- I think I can teach you a thing or two. (triggered by the dialogue choice "I'd like training in alchemy").
- Yes? (triggered by pressing "E" to start a conversation and having already heard the initial triggered longer voiced lines recently).

So far this seem to only affect vanilla NPCs in Whiterun and it must be something I have done, but I can't figure out what.
I asked on Reddit and the reply I got was that somehow the audio files have been overwritten in a mod conflict.
But trying to figure out which mod is conflicting with which regarding just these particular audio files is probably an almost impossible task.

So my question is this, what risks are there with verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam? What I fear is ruining the entire modding process (and a couple of months of modding work), having to start all over with a fresh install of Skyrim. But verifying might bring back the missing audio of the vanilla NPCs in Whiterun.

@Novosin

1. All plants in Whiterun are changed. Afaik there was never 'real' grass in there.

2. Havn't got missing voicelines here. Some added mods might be voiceless but should be very very rare.

3. The integrity check works with MO2. No issues with it and I had to rerun that myself too, so don't worry about that. With Vortex on the other hand i can't say for sure. I used that one years ago and removed it very quickly once I saw the bloated UI.

Thanks for the reply!

Great, I'm running MO2. So should be fine with verifying the game files. And I have added a few mods to your modlist, so the missing audio is probably something to do with that.

Edit: Verifying the game files was no problem. But voices still missing. Damn.
Will have to do some research and see what can be done about it.

If you do verify them Loot will tell you to clean them again.

As you do not run loot on this load order that should not be an issue.

Better not check the data or it might tell you something you don't want to see.

The issue isn't that loot tells it, the issue is that it is.

Steam downloads those plugins again since you modified them by cleaning them.
