I had some severe issues with my various mods and decided to start with a clean slate using NMM to install all my mods (for ease of upgrading, etc.). I've re-downloaded and installed a selection of mods, but ran into a problem with Defeat. It is 'disabled' in the MCM menu. I've tried mashing that to get it to start. I've tried starting a dozen new games. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Defeat. I've tried offering my firstborn to the Sheogorath. I've had no luck getting the mod to start. Has anyone had this issue with the latest version? More importantly, has anyone had luck getting around this issue? Just want to report: Same thing here. I also tried several things, among them clean saves, deinstalling, reinstalling. No luck. Sometimes it does not appear in MCM at all, sometimes it does, then I hit the "Enable" Button, but nothing happens. :'3 Just wanted to let you know. ^^
nutluck Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 WaxenFigure - Actually sometime a $ appear on Two hand and one hand for me too, they are property seperated by a tab so yeah, I don't know... seems random. nutluck - Ok thanks I'm going to make some tests in this particular mine, I see exactely which one you're talking about. Will release an update in a few hours. Ok, I am not sure the location matters. I think it is just a fluke it keep happening to me there. I am thinking the real issue might be if you go down before the NPC's hit you that sometimes the one NPC that never hit you never takes a turn. Or could it be because when you first walk in, those guys are talking in a scene and one of them tell the other one to go to sleep? Could it be because defeat is interrupting that scripted event?

Even if it's a problem where they are in a scene or something, the timer should make sure the player get up if the next aggressor who wants to take his turn do not reach the player in time, I must admit I do not understand why it dosen't work... Are all aggressors registered correctly when you are knocked down? you can see that in the log (Look for "Aggressor slot filled (Human) -> Slot // Hunter -> aggressor") Does it only happens after the first rape?

Yes it is always the second attacker, the first rape works just fine. Here is the log, I was doing several things during this log but I know it happened at least once or twice. hopefully it helps. If I get time later I will do a save just inside that mine and test it and if it happens log out so it is a short log with just the errored chance only. But here is a log where I know it happened at least once.

First some bugs I enconuntered with 5b2.1(Playing a female PC): 1.- If female pc is getting raped and then someone "help" killing the rapist before the rape scene ends, resulted on my character getting friendly to the rapist faction, I don't know if it applied only to that faction or all posible enemies. 2.- If getting raped and enemies take turns if Player tries to resist in between being on the floor, the bar just get interrupted then enemies get agressive and kill you not being able to get up from the floor animation. 3.-Getting Crash triying to do ncrophilia on a dead body. 4.- Male agressor getting female position on threasome. 5.- Defeat not triggering bleed out state on brawl event, I mean like the fight with uthgerd. I know this is not a bug itself, but with V4.2.1 I triggers and I think its awesome xDD. 6.-Getting like a plank if actor get killed in between sex scene, and stop scene option not working(I know this is some sort of Sexlab limitation but if iits posible to get the dead acyor to ragdoll it would be awesome, maybe making bot actors ragdoll if one get hit and ending the scene that way) Suggestions 1.- chaging the dancing enemy animation to laugh animation or soemthing else, I don't know but to my taste It looks like out of place and make it too funny xDDD. 2.- Well changin of some way that weird transition from bleed state to sex scene when the actor gets standing position before getting on sex scene it looks weird, it happens to when player is on the floor and then get anoter turn, in past versions this didn't happen (I think this is sexlab fault too but well...). 3.- Be able to take your weapon from the floor before runing away from rapists.
Slorm Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 When you upgrade to b2 do you make sure to disable Defeat first before hand? I only ask cause if the scripts are left running in b1 it could cause issues when trying to update. I know the rob functions was changed in b2 so it would make sense if b2 was not working right if the scripts from b1 was still running when you tried to update it. Could also try a new game with b2 to check as well, if it works on a new game then that is likely the problem. The scripts from b1 got stuck running. Yep I'm quite meticulous about that as I beta test some other mods. It was uninstalled according to the instructions, however I did notice some residue in the save from from the old scripts when I checked with the script cleaner which I then subsequently removed, prior to installing beta 2. I'll try on a new game and see what happens Ok was just checking never hurts to ask. I am curious what happens on a new game. Tried on a new game and exactly the same. Set it to rob gold only with chance at 100% and gave pc 500 gold. Defeat works normally and pc is transported to wilderness but no gold it taken so Robbed quest doesn't start
nutluck Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 That is just weird Slorm cause that part of the mod works for me. So no clue what could be going on, but it is a beta build and we are finding a few bugs here and there. Hopefully Goubo will be able to track them down.

I am back to using Defeat after spending about 3 weeks trying out submit (first progression, then plain submit) with a clean install/new game/loads of mods, just could not get submit to work reliably. Plus submit apparently does not support threesomes+ for whatever reason. Delete delete delete... I did, however, discover while getting Defeat working that ONE of the issues I was having with Submit and Defeat I managed to fix while puzzling out why falmers were not stripping and spiders would not work at all - I am using the new creature features in conjunction with nude creatures and failed to read the fine print - CF does not work with Immersive creatures. Kind of a bummer but ok, uninstall. I was getting the some of the issues others have described, wolves just flopping to the ground without assaulting, random ctds, fun stuff like that. Uninstall immersive creatures and everything appears to be working great. I did the defeat install in a game at 12th level I think, with the aforementioned 100+ mods already in play (after a quick script cleaning with the savetool thingy) and so far defeat is quite solid (playing female toon/victim only), though to be fair I have not tested it extensively. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for the mod, keep up the good work! G

I get into a bleed state, but immediately stand back up, get full health and the message "There's still life left in you" and the mobs have to start all over. I actually went into an orc bandit camp and just stood there while I got something to eat and it was still going when I got back. For some reason the Defeat trigger is firing, but it's timing out (?). Any ideas? Apparently I had DeathAlternative v4.01 loaded for some reason instead of 4.51. Once I upgraded it worked more or less fine. The less comes in because if I set Defeat to strip/unequip clothing then it sets the body to the non-CBBE default body (with underwear). This is wearing the Devious Devices Slave Harness. Haven't tried other clothing yet. Leaving it disabled for Sexlab to remove doesn't, since it's locked in place.

I would like to see SKYUI get updated, its nearly a year since the last release and the current version has some bugs, most notably the failure to add menus which brings people complaining that the menu didn't show up.

Update V5 beta 3 Should be safe to upgrade from V5b2.1 Player as Victim - Added - Death Alternative category in MCM with some more options for it.|- DA Defeat Chance : The chance for Defeat scene to be chosen On Bleedout event from DA if the conditions are met. (gender, cooldown etc.)|- DA Cooldown : If enabled if knocked down by a satisfied NPC (NPC that raped the player already and then has a 5 minutes buff) that NPC will not be able to trigger a Defeat scene again, letting Death Alternative trigger other events.|- DA Post-Assault : If enabled, after a Defeat scene the player will get up with low HP, letting Death Alternative trigger other events if knocked down again. If disabled there will be a normal Defeat post-assault behavior.- Fixed - Followers in a trauma state are now properly detected if another scene start.- Fixed - Only near followers are now detected and registered, it was a soure of some bugs.- Fixed - Struggle bar now keep its settings on reloading.- Fixed - Removed the dance during the escape of the player.- Fixed - Broken resist function, resist effects will actually do something now... Well I guess glad you was able to reproduce it. Still sucks there is a bug. Hopefully you will be able to find the source and fix it in the next update. On the timer, question. If you have defeat set so you can't resist between turns does that turn off the timer? I only ask cause I turned mine off since I was just testing the mod and after I tested once running away between turns and seen that it worked it turned it off so my character couldn't run away between turns. Mostly cause I wanted to test the limits to the number of NPC's it would grab and didn't want to leave early.

I am mainly interested/testing transitioning from Defeat knock down to being enslaved. I tested on the 2 person bandit camp slightly north of Whiterun. Defeat Settings: In Defeat's menu -> DA settings I set DA to 100% and the other options checked (default). All threesome options to 100% and enabled. Female aggressors allowed. The Immunity I set to Long although it seems like these are ignored with DA? but I set it anyways. DA Settings: The DA menu changes are set to bleedout no ragdoll and the critical hit death thing (sorry forget name, 2~ below ragdoll option!) to 0% so there is no chance to instantly die. Also necro. absorption off and all quests aside from SD and Defeat options turned off. On a female character I tested a few times and everything works as you described. I get knocked down by the 2 male bandits and the resist option comes up like normal and then the animation begins because I do not resist. After the animation is over my character, very briefly (half a second maybe), goes into the sitting on the ground position then I stand up with very little hp and the bandits immediately start attacking me until I blackout and then SD+ enslavement triggers and that mod takes over. I'm not sure the sitting on the ground thing happened every time if it did happen more than once it was so brief I can't remember exactly and it doesn't really bother me anyway, but I will try to test it more to see. One other thing to note is like I said with so many mods I don't seem to get any script lag but perhaps the sitting on the ground this could be attributed to that? Idk not very tech savy, just something to consider. Anyway I need to test more, I just thought I would post my limited results so far. And i played around a bit with the DA chances, set Defeat to 50%, SD+ to 25% and DA to 25% and got random outcomes as it should be, sometimes Defeat kicked in, sometimes DA events and sometimes SD+. Good job again Goubo.

I would still suggest changing the control to something else in skyrim and then back to mouse and keyboard. It could have just glitched and if you change it and then change it back there is a chance it will start working again. At the very least it won't make things worse.

At the very least it won't make things worse. yea, that i allready tested - switched controller and set back, but still my mouse do not work (and ofc my mouse work allover^^) what a shit is that :/
nutluck Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Well it was worth a try. The only other thing I can think of to try at this point is run a verification in steam for Skyrim cause obviously something is wrong with your skyrim to make the mouse stop working. Hopefully it will find a error and fix it. You will need to run TES5Edit again and clean the DLC's and redo your ini file after you do it but hopefully it fixes the mouse.
