Just a warning if you have, or are thinking of updating XPO (Xaz Prison Overhaul). You might run into some problems with defeat. I updated, and started to notice some issues with defeat.

One was Lydia went down in combat, and I couldn't get her to stand back up, didn't even get the dialogue box to pop up, and appease her . I clicked check for compatible mods in the MCM menu for Defeat again, and it still listed Prison Overhaul. Then clicked clean Defeat, and she stood up, and is ready to go again.

 

Don't know if that fixed anything,or if the problems are going to persist. I'm just putting this up for a warning, and Goubo might want to have a look at it.

 

Will update if I find anything else out.

can somebody help me with aggressors walking away after my PC is down? They just wonder around after my PC is down..... and apparently my PC doesn't stand up and I have to load my game. I guess it's a theesome prob. anyone who knows how to fix this help me

Eh, I doubt it's a threesome problem. I have those enabled as well and each time it my trials of the mod that my assailants have had the option of a threesome they've taken it and it has successfully played out.

Hello, perhaps I met an expression(mood) bug.

 

If I resist the aggressor successful after knocked down, the last expression will be remained, such as puzzled, fear, etc. 

 

I used "mfg reset" or set the other mood by console,the last expression will come back after I change cells.(Quick travel, enter a door, etc)

 

I tested several times, and the bug comes out each time.

 

I am using female facial animation ( not sure is its bug or not.

 

Please help, thanks a lot.

There are a number of stealth use 'knockout' mods, that put an NPC down.  Blackjack, Non Lethal Crossbow etc

 

But when, say, I use an non damaging bolt from a Nexus Crossbow mod, laced with a strong paralysis poison, to paralyse an NPC (I also use a mod that makes them collapse properly, not just go rigid, to give a more realistic effect), when I get to the downed NPC, I can't seem to get any Defeat options to work until it revives and I have then beaten it down.  Sorta defeats one's trying to be a clever dick to start with :cool:

 

EDIT  you can beat them up while paralysed but it's not quite the same as being able to catch them while they are down already   :blush: 

 

I don't know if this is easy or not, but is there any way of 'Defeat' also recognising that paralysed NPCs have been 'defeated' and are then legitimate targets for Hotkey use?

 

Must also say a big  'Thank you' for all your efforts on this.  Much appreciated.  Certainly don't want you to think I'm moaning!  If what I'm suggesting isn't easy, no need to pursue it   :shy:

I have this as well. Animations work when health threshold is met and compatible aggressor is available. But if I run out of health, regardless of compatible aggressor, I do not die for the game to reset and I need to manually reload.

Now even after deleting your mod I'm still experiencing CTDs and freezes. Your mod has complete ruined my safegame.

Where do all these problems come from?

 

The old version worked flawless. At least for me :(

I've yet to experience a single CTD related to this mod, it's more than likely a conflict on your end, this mod didn't ruin your save, you did.

My papyrus log confirms that it's this mod which is the source. The defeatplayer.pex script is still spamming my papyrus with thousands of errors. Even when the mod is deactivated and deinstalled.

So whatever the problem is it'S related to this script file from this mod.

Hey there!

 

I had some severe issues with my various mods and decided to start with a clean slate using NMM to install all my mods (for ease of upgrading, etc.).  I've re-downloaded and installed  a selection of mods, but ran into a problem with Defeat.

 

It is 'disabled' in the MCM menu. I've tried mashing that to get it to start. I've tried starting a dozen new games. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Defeat. I've tried offering my firstborn to the Sheogorath. I've had no luck getting the mod to start.

 

Has anyone had this issue with the latest version? More importantly, has anyone had luck getting around this issue?

 

Just want to report: Same thing here. I also tried several things, among them clean saves, deinstalling, reinstalling. No luck. Sometimes it does not appear in MCM at all, sometimes it does, then I hit the "Enable" Button, but nothing happens. :'3

Just wanted to let you know. ^^

 

 

Is anyone else having this problem? I am also having this exact same problem with 5b3. Sometimes it's in MCM, most times it's not. Even when it does show up, I can't enable it.

 

Tried a clean save, uninstall/reinstall. New game. The only thing that works is reverting to version 5b1.1

 

Would really appreciate some advice.

I also had the problem with Defeat not installing at all, even on a new game. What I did was make sure I had the latest version of Death Alternative (since Defeat interacts with that now, though I don't know if it's required), then uninstalled Hentai Pregnancy and Devious Captures (mod that adds Devious Devices after Defeat). Started a new game with Defeat disabled, and let all my other mods register and such. I then saved, exited, enabled Defeat (then ran BOSS/FNIS) and loaded the save. Voila, Defeat registered.

 

Still haven't tried re-enabling Devious Captures yet... I know Miss Leeches was going to update once Defeat did, so not sure if there could be any issues.

 

Actually never mind, I managed to fix my problem by following the advice in the quoted reply. Sorry for bothering everyone!

If you uninstalled it sounds like you need to do a clean save? Your save is perhaps trying to activate this mod? Either that another mod is trying to activate the mod? Did you follow the uninstall information, deactivating the mod in MCM and waiting for the completion message, saving then uninstalling from your game?

So I set all of the health thresholds to %100 percent (health, minimum health, chance on hit) I have the condition set to threshold, and DA is not installed, and instead of getting knocked down, I die. Help? Btw, it's not because I die before I could be knocked down, I take some damage until I die.

I am not saying this is the issue but wanted to point this out to you or anyone else dieing. Keep in mind the mod triggers after you drop below the threshold and then the script has to run. So if you have a script heavy game that can result in a couple of more hits coming in before the script finishes especially if you are facing a lot of enemies. Same thing if you have health set low, it won't trigger until the first hit after being under the threshold. Both of which can cause people to die.

 

But unless you are facing things that hit really hard or a a bunch at once, I doubt that is your case, since at 100% should even on a heavily scripted slow script be plenty of time.

 

Have you tried telling Defeat to reset?

Could having both the Max and Min of the health threshold at 100% have anything to do with it?

 

I would think so. If Min is 100%, Defeat won't trigger.

unable to activate the mod in mcm. i select activate in the mod  and it tells me to exit the menu and it should be enabled in a few seconds but nothing happens

Yes, if the minimum health means at that point or lower it won't activate. It was added so you can run defeat with other mods that also kick in at low health. So if both max and min are set to 100% I don't think Defeat would ever trigger.

I'm having a problem with one of my characters. During a quest in a dungeon she was knocked down by drauger and no rape animation occured, but after she got back up, they were friendly, also every enemy in the game is friendly now. Any ideas what went wrong?

Yes I did but the script remained in the save. Don't know why but it produced these masses of error messages in the papyrus. I fear I will have to abandon the save file. 10 days of gameplay for nothing :(

 

Once you have your clean save you may find this of use to clear out any residual scripts left behind in your save. Make sure you take a backup before using it

Thanks for the link. I'll try it out. Hopefully it works and I'm able to use the save file again. Will give report about my progress here.

 

 

But I find it very sad that there isn't a version of this mod which I can use. I like the concept of Sexlab Defeat but with all these problems it's still unuseable for me :(

Is there any way to disable the "player victim" feature automatically when you become werewolf? 

It's kinda of annoying that they "force you" through defeat out of the werewolf sate, after the rape attempt, you can't go back werewolf because of the vanilla debuff :(

 guys, i hate to do this kind of things, but i have to "bump" this question, the situation is became so annoying.

I just want to know if there is a way or it isn't possible with the current version :)
