Vithiss Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 a quick note. using the latest version with DA: bandits worked, "novice conjurer" worked, and a pair of wolves also worked (and both came back around for seconds). Edit: "worked" refers to player victim mode, with no followers, haven't started experimenting with post-events yet thanks again for one of my favorite LL mods.

xgkf Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 If it isn't too much of extra work i would vote for full DAYMOYL integration like SD+, it would be amazing imho if us players can eventually configure DAYMOYL, Defeat and SD+ that it is fully random what happens when you get defeated. Sometimes your Defeat scenarios kick in, sometimes you get enslaved and sometimes you are "lucky" and only get the classic DAYMOYL scenarios. Would be great variety. I am personally in favor of this as well.

I had some severe issues with my various mods and decided to start with a clean slate using NMM to install all my mods (for ease of upgrading, etc.). I've re-downloaded and installed a selection of mods, but ran into a problem with Defeat. It is 'disabled' in the MCM menu. I've tried mashing that to get it to start. I've tried starting a dozen new games. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Defeat. I've tried offering my firstborn to the Sheogorath. I've had no luck getting the mod to start. Has anyone had this issue with the latest version? More importantly, has anyone had luck getting around this issue? Weird cause all I do is hit disable. exit the menu wait about 15 seconds and a message pops up about defeat being updated or something. Then I go back into the menu and everything works. I did have issue with it on one like the very first version of the new beta defeat. Have you updated each time since then? Maybe that is the issue but even then it should work on a new game. So not sure. I pretty much deleted my entire data directory and downloaded all 'fresh' mods, installing them with NMM this time around. I've never had a problem like this before. I'll see if there are any other responses and if I have no other option, I'll start disabling mods until I find any possible conflicts. *shrug* Thanks!

I use SM Essential Player to prevent player death. On v4 it worked fine. I just upgraded to v5 (along with SL1.5 and SKSE 1.7) and when I tested, I could not get Defeat to trigger, even when I set the thresholds to high values. Note: I did not test using a new game. I upgraded it on my existing character following the instructions (uninstall and clean save).

Technically I don't need to make Defeat dependant of DA to make it compatible and I don't see the point too since there is people that do not use DA, but wip is wip, I'm going to add some more options for it, just wait a little. The player fleeing bug will also be fixed in a upcoming update from BralorMarr. Ok if there is suppose to be a 10 second timer then I would say the timer is not working. Because I was testing it I waited a full minute exactly just to be sure the guy wasn't going to walk up. Instead he walked away back the way he came but my character never got up from the on her side animation till I told sexlab to clean. It only happened that one time, I think the issue was he was so far away Defeat didn't make him come the rest of the way and obviously the timer at least that time did not work. So far in all my testing that is the only bug I have run across. Well I was going to report another bug but it was not defeat. The camera got all messed up after a surrender, but it turns out custom camera mod and Defeat both use the G key so when I surrendered it changed my camera view and it took me awhile to figure that out and then change the hotkey. I have no mod-writng skills so I claim a fair level of ignorance on the topic. I just try to be thorough in my problem-solving. You are not the only one with the issue. There are a few people that are not able to use the mod for some reason. But if you figure it out we would love to know how you fixed it. I've had no luck disabling almost every mod and activating them in a more intuitive order. The best I was able to accomplish was getting the mod to appear active in the 'General Settings' tab, yet still be listed as disabled in all the other tabs in the MCM menu. I'm stumped. At any rate, my next step is to reinstall Skyrim while I'm at work. Maybe there is something somewhere in the convoluted mess of my skyrim directory that is causing the issue. While this may not help you, it could possibly help me. Time will tell.

Select "ckocked down", and if i dont got ctd in this moment (1/10 chance lol) i select "kill", and... i kill npc with my dagger, and also kill myself. Realy. We are dying together. Or just me only. Like harakiri. It's normal? It's only with me? :3

So i totally get it, would just be surprised if that turns out to be the problem is all. When you push enable and close out all the menus and just wait in game for a couple of minutes. When you reopen the menus it never fills out the rest of the menu's? I really don't understand why it would do that on a fresh install, especially if you started a new character. Have you tried the command console to reset the MCM menu list? setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1

I have a problem with Robbery quest not happening as nothing is stolen, but as it's set at 100% Captures still picks up its happened and works in b2. If you do get the Robbery quest then I can't see why it wont work either

I would suggest turning on papyrus logging and then see if you can get it to happen again. If you can exit the game, zip the log and post it up here for Goubo to take a look at.

In my tests my character doesn't have anything else to steal. None of the settings work for me in b2 but work fine in b1 when I rolled back. I posted some papyrus logs a few pages back when I tested it
drake37 Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 The problem i had before about the crashing when pressing the g key is back, but i think i have narrowed it down. it seems to crash when the menu for interacting with a character in the downed state appears (the one after clicking on the orange "downed" menu).
