Just a thought that poped up in my mind.

In regards of posters... have you used any 'special' characters in the mod specific to your langauge that might not be represented in english alphabet?

To my understandthing this *might* (but does not have to - in theory it should fallback to a non-printable character, but who knows) be the cause that you are crash-free (and so would everybody else of your country) but others face a CTD..

 

Another idea, try packing the Poster stuff into an archive (ba2).

Do NOT overwrite the 2 ba2's with eachother, there should be 2 at the end... this will make sure that all the required files should be available, unlike "loose files" as the 7z is now.

Saying, maybe you refer to a file that you forgot to 'pack' into the 7z, thus failing to load.

 

I have no idea, these are just guesses.

It is supposed to work like this:

1. Go to Nuka World

2. Head back home

3. Go to Nuka world (again)

4. Talk to Shank

5. Get quests

It should work now. 

 

It seems that my original materials were aiming for a specular texture with a different size than the diffuse ones. Anyway, thanks to Tentacus, the materials now point to specular vanilla texture. 

 

The big mystery is why it didn't cause CTD for me.?

No crash on load... but I dont 'see' posters either...

Also, it seems to 'crash' (idle freeze) when trying to end game.. both quit to main menu, and quit to desktop.

 

EDIT:

It also will not save (game freeze) on normal 'save attempt', so one has to force-close the game.

Yes, that is Ivy.

Or got my savegame borked since my last save? (you know... 2 minutes earlier - or maybe its because of Ivy... Should not coz that used to work in previous savegames.. i'll have to test)

Tested again just now.  Loaded fine from the exit save.  Walked out of the basement, wandered around Sanctuary for a few minutes, then made another hard save.  Closed FO4, restarted, and reloaded the hard save just fine.  No issues noted in the couple of minutes I played afterward.

I like them both.

One could be the 'good print' (indoor) the other the "weathered out" one (outdoor).

Then again, for a real misprint (or outdoor specificly) it could be even 'worse'. (like 'missing corner', holes, some spots, etc)

Or maybe that could/would be a third version alltogether...

 

Anyway, I wouldnt change more/anything at the moment until @JB. replys.

I just throw stupid ideas into the pool. ?

I think its because of animated fannies... prior to adding the posters, thats my only recent change to my mods...

 

I only post/write this because I kind of have been warned to (not) use animated fannies, as it incldues an outdated body mesh and stuff.

And they were right, most animations I did encounter did not animate the fannies, and after the encounter (8, SA / SH) I had a CTD...

 

At first I did not think about it, because "i had it before" (the CTD after an encounter (assault/harsassment) count of 7+) - but that was with another VERY heavy scripted mod, which is not active on this profile.

This 'overwrites' my previous assumption of "Ivy", because shes been active in both profiles before without issues. (it was late, and I only mentioned her because she 'was there' in the location).

 

EDIT:

Nevermind.. even a new game freezes after char creation....

I wont spam this thread more on this... something very wrong on my computer now :(

Hey, I've got a bit of a problem. I'm on the quest where you you have to go to Dimond City to get a motorcycle. But the quest hasn't updated so I don't have a waypoint to where I need to go. I've been walking around looking for the guy to talk to but can't find him. I've reloaded the save a few times just before I talk to the porn dude, but the quest just won't update.

If the quest does not start, it is because it failed to fill aliases. The only alias that can fail to fill is Mayor. Is the Mayor alive in your savegame?

 

PS: Either Sullivan or Travis too. They may also be dead if you are far advanced in the vanilla story.

Ah, the mayor is dead so that's probably why. Travis and Sullivan are still alive alive but they won't initiate any dialogue. I also tried going to a save before the quest and tried resurrecting the mayor but it just crashes the game. I guess I'll just have to start a new save, which I don't really mind. Still, thanks for the help.

I am getting a load order glitch with the sanctuary bridge - I use Anom's Sanctuary Hills Overhaul and this replaces the wooden bridge with a concrete one. Nuka ride somehow reactivates the old wood bridge at the same time - I vaguely remember someone posting a fix or comment about this but I cannot find it.

 

Is this a load order issue? Nuka ride has priority over Anom's Sanctuary Hills Overhaul, should I reverse this?

Hey @JB. , while we wait for the next update I would like to ask you a question about Nuka World main questline. I am at the point where I got the quest for the transit train and the question is: Should I do it?(to clarify just the trip to and back, not the rest of the quest) It does not seem like a good idea, and would probably conflict with your mod(from my perspective), but I figured I checked here with you. If there was no testing for this particular part of the campaign, I will gladly wait for the update and let you know if there are bugs or something. In any case Ill leave this quest active, since there is other things to do(Far Harbor, companion quests and setle....ughh nothing nvm :D ).

It seems to me that once you take the train for the first time you can't go back. You are forced to win the Gauntlet quest.

 

You can do it if you want. But in my mod the Overboss is alive and you shouldn't be someone who would be able to beat the Gauntlet. It's going to be weird if everyone treats you as Overboss and at the same time like a whore.

 

Bugs: Gang Boss side quests do not work with Nuka Ride.

The next update is more of an English language fix from Tentacus, and a bugfix and various tweaks also from him that I think improve the experience a lot. At most, I will include a small quest that will serve as a bridge for the new ones: choose a new name (like the RailRoad mission where you choose a codename).

 

With the addition that I will force that change to the name of your character (it will be seen in the dialogs and also in your saves). ?

 

Tentacus has been teaching me several tricks as well (he has the patience of a saint), because I continue working on my new quests in a separate esp, which I will inject into the main mod when I have it finished ... and for that I do not have a date yet.
