AAF Nuka Ride: A Porn Studio Mod

I made a new character just to play through this mod since hopefully I'll be testing my changes tomorrow, if JB doesn't find anything too glaringly awful, that is. :)

 

I figured making a strong character that wouldn't already be a Hardship sex worker would be the ideal experience.

I can help you with that if you give me a vague idea of what you want to convey... same with Cito really... "Me Tarzan, you Jane" IS my native language... lol.

 

Honestly you've done pretty well so far. Sure there were some real head scratcher lines, but overall most of my edits were just making things more concise and changing the sentence structure to sound more natural as if it were spoken aloud. 

 

Sometimes I was really impressed when you nailed the slang. Also sometimes I had to restrain myself from making things overly verbose when what you already had was fine.

I honestly don't think I will do the Cito thing, I just imagined that I couldn't handle the challenge. I have to really like an idea to dedicate two or three weeks of scripting, dialogues, constant trial and error, specific clothes, specific tattoos and all the paraphernalia.

 

But it might bother you for a hand in correcting the next quests. 

 

No idea when I'll have it ready, though. I take it easier now.

Load order. Put Nuka Ride last in your mod list.

I got a new sentence ... and then the big nothing. He doesn't care about me anymore. He doesn't answer ... nothing.

I went to the Theater and ... there's just a burp and a big stare. Apparently in the ass next to ...

My game succeeded ... stopped.

 

Then since he didn't do anything ...  I out coded it. The 130 got stuck. 

Whatever I did ... restart game or reload an old backup .. nothing.

I had this problem a few times too. Sometimes Shanks works, sometimes not. Nuka Ride is always on the bottom of my load order. Both can happen in the same gamesession (without closing FO4), like load one savegame and cant talk to shank, load another save and he works as he should.  

 

My Observation so far: when you move near to him for the first time, he and another NPC have a short chat. Usually the second NPC would move away when their conservation ends and shank would move to the wall. Then everything seems like to work.

 

But sometimes the second NPC stays in front of shank and they are somehow not really completing their event. And then you cant talk to Shank. Looks like that problem has nothing to do with your mod, assuming you didnt do something to their vanilla conversation.

Good ol solution for bugged  bethesda npcs:

 

`(console)>click on npc>type disable>type enable

 

alternative

 

`(console)> type resetai or click on the bugged npc and type the same thing.

 

If that does not fix it, you got a problematic mod.

 

@JB. your mod is fantastic, and holds great potential for branching. If you have time I would like to ask you two questions.

1)In the build before your last update I could not skip dialogue when talking to npcs related to your mod(to make it clear I skip dialogue that I already saw if something like ctds happen :D ).Is that a bug on my end or a feature?

2)Have you considered making your npcs recognize the player character by her titles/achievements(general of the minutemen etc) and treating her acording to those titles?To clarify I understand that you have much bigger priorities right now concerning this mod, I am only curious if you considered adding something like that further down the line. 

 

Thank you for your effort both on this mod and the tatoos one. If you need help with translations I would be happy to help(as a lot of people here are already doing).Feel free to contact me for translations before implementation. ?

It seems like Shank's problem is that he doesn't want to talk to you while he's doing his leaning-on-the-wall idles. The same goes for Corsican as he changes his smoking idle (his dialogues get slow).

1- You couldn't skip dialogs because those dialogs were missing voice files. These are fake voice files, there is no voice really, but they must be there for you to skip lines of dialogue. In version 2.0.8 I removed some that I shouldn't have removed, but they came back in 2.0.9

 

2-Definitely. A long-term plan when you've already shot more movies. Settlers, Minutemen, DC citizens, etc. Basically all the friendly factions from the early stages of the game will be able to recognize you as an actress. Right now only the DC guards have seen your videos, but in the second round of quests there are already some NPCs who will recognize you. In the long term, my plan is that when they recognize you, they ask you for favors. From autographs to kisses, which you can gladly accept, reject, ask for some caps, etc. But, as you say, I have not reached that point yet and I am concentrating on the new quests. During these quests you are already becoming a little more known in the Commonwealth.

Hey there @JB.! So, I've done the posters, I didn't do the ones related to the quest because I kinda want to left it blank for the players to fill their own imagination, what I did do though is taking the Porn titles from Fallout 2 and turn that into a poster, kinda make sense for Mr. Corsican to have something like this in the studio. I've also try to be as lore friendly as possible but that's really wasn't easy and I don't really have the time to draw the whole thing new.


The first poster is for "Vault Sexteen" a classic really.

The two posters for now! I did it in .png files but tell me if you also want a .DDS or something. I made it the standard poster size, but if you want a specific size I'll do it!
And since the poster was made using screenshots from the game, I think this would be safe to use legal wise, even the fonts are from license free Google Font.
As for a potential poster based on this mod's quest, I think I can do more like a neutral ones, but maybe at a later time. Also I have a feeling you'd want to change the porno name to be more raunchy in the future?

Anyway, I hope you'll at least like them! And possibly put them in your mod? :D :D

Wow ?They are fantastic. I will definitely put them in the studio. And in the future I will definitely do a mission to get permission and put them in the two bars in DC and the bar in Goodneighbor. Maybe it's time to use Geneva for that matter. 

 

Don't worry, I know how to convert them to the proper format.

Is there a way to remove all the tattoos?

 

I like the mod, I actually finished the entire questline (which ends on Apollo, I presume) and now I would like to get rid of those tattoos. Probably I wouldn't mind them if they were black and white, but as it is - it's simply too much color for me to keep it for the rest of the game (especially, considering that I got that full body tat on my first visit to Nuka World ? ).

Hey man love the mod, especially from an RP perspective! 

 

Quick question, is there an option to increase the overall animation duration?  I have set the default animation to be 240 seconds in AAF ini but the animations barely get past the 2nd stage.  I know I could adjust the frames per animation in the XML files but I am sure there is a more elegant solution than that.

I've been asked for this a couple of times. From now on I will no longer include the duration time in the AAF scripts, so it will be subject to what you have in AAF.Settings.

Like any tattoo. Enter the Captive Tattoos 3.0.3 page and you will see the tutorial to put on / take off tattoos using LooksMenu.

Curious if the tattoos can be an option in the mod and not required. Not really my thing. Just curious before I install it. Also, as you progress the Vanilla story, can you just drop off out of doing this question and everything goes back to normal? Thanks for your hard work! I can always remove them later, but just curious if the tattoos can become an option.

For the moment no problem with the main quest of nuka world after finishing your mod except the radiant quests.

 

In my opininion it would be more logical to avoid the second trip to nuka world to begin or maybe an enslavement/kidnapping ( why go back to nuka world after the dance ? ) but that said, it's a very little detail and your mod is great.

 

Just a little question, I can't find the animation ( nuka_motorbike or nuka throne or something like that ) in the aaf menu to make it again with others partners, is it normal ?

Tattoos are soft. You can play without them.

 

Putting other tattoos (even from other mods like the ones at Nexus) is very simple. I'll see if I do a tutorial, so no one is subject to my choice of tattoos.

Yep. They are all "hidden" and you can only see them when I call them.

 

If you want, go to DATA/AAF. Go to "NukaRide_PositionData" and remove all the tags named "Hidden". That will do the trick.
