90% of approaches from NPCs while on duty only show the regular vanilla dialogues or dialogues from other mods but never the Public whore approach. No asking for sex and no other scenarios.

For some reason I can't get an approach from guards. Tested with both hero fame and sexual fame (built in), same result. Debug messages output keeps repeating same line: guard not found. So right now only story start or volunteering are working for me.

 

Any advice how to solve this?

4096p is an optional higher res pack, the mod comes with the tattoos already but at a lower resolution

I think I've noticed that as well if I'm thinking of the same thing. An npc approaches for sex but it just opens the normal dialogue menu. I haven't figured out a way to reproduce this though. I thought it might have something to do with the distance the approaching NPC is from the player when they initiate the ForceGreet, but I wasn't sure. Did you notice any patterns when it occured that could be reproduced?

Sadly no. They could run over the entire market to approach me or stand in the tavern right next to me. It didn't matter.

This isnt exactly relevent, but thought id post it anyway. I hope one day this mod gets a port or an overhaul allowing it to interface or work along side OProstitution and the Ostim framework.

Is there any possibility of deferring the thane's responsibilities to the jarl or steward? The thane stands out due to my NPC replacers and it's kinda awkward since they stay in the same position 24/7.

The issue is that jarls and stewards get replaced by civil war actions. So, not a simple task. The NPC thanes eliminate all of that complication.

I see. Then I hope we can get some sort of "NPC replacer" / beautification for these thanes so that they can fit in with mod setups that tear NPCs away from their vanilla appearances (I'm using Pandorables and Bijin, for example). Even a separate plugin dependent only on KS Hairdos might be enough. I'm not clear how to make such a modification by myself in xEdit, unfortunately.

I absolutely love this mod, but have been getting the same error over and over trying to complete "Show of Strength in Windhelm." The entire quest plays out without issue, but after my character is dismissed, the text screen declaring her the public whore loads before the loading screen pops up. My character appears in the streets of Windhelm, the Public Whore quest starts, and then the game completely crashes. I've gone through old replies and added the old patch to the game, but that didn't work, and then went ahead and upgraded my version of PW from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4, but it keeps shutting my game down. I really really love this quest line and want to complete it, but I just can't seem to find a way to move forward. Any thoughts as to what could be done to fix it?

@Visio Diaboli I just completed Show of Strength via talking with the guests, but just after I left Windhelm I got the same letter from the thane and the whole quest started again. Is that supposed to happen?

there's the scripts that were changed. Had to add a function, StartManualMode, for the non-swarm scenes to use, since I did not realize those relied on Enqueue to actually start the scene. I believe I had also forgotten to mention I added a check when an actor is approaching to make sure that the player is still approachable, so that actors don't attempt to approach during a swarm.

Please, can you upload the pex files? I'm absolutely dumb about compile scripts...

For some reason, I'm not actually receiving a collar when I start with the thane in Windhelm. Haven't tried any other thanes or starts yet, but has anyone seen this before? I have guards running me down every time they see me, but I don't have a collar to put on...

 

On top of that, I'm not getting paid, and my client count isn't going up. Could there be a conflict of some sort? I have SS++, SDEnhanced+, and Naked Defeat.

I’m having the same issue, Would you mind posting your load order? So I can check to see if we have overlapping mods that could be altering guard behavior? I didn’t have this problem before, but I recently got a new pc and installed some new mods I didn’t have before and think one of those might be a conflict

First of all, I very much enjoy this mod. The Windhelm quest was especially fun and I look forward to seeing more such content in future versions.

 

If you're open to feature requests and/or suggestions, one small thing I would like would be the addition of an intimidate and/or resist option to the off-duty solicitation dialogue. As things stand, I accept that the PC probably can't easily fight back while actively on PW duty due to being required to remain naked and unarmed, but off-duty, when no such restrictions are in force, I find it hard to accept that my level 57 character can do nothing whatsoever to defend herself when the stableboy starts stripping off her armor. And I personally would prefer not to just disable off-duty approaches since I enjoy, conceptually, the reminders that people haven't forgotten what she did. (and I don't always refuse approaches, I just don't want to be de facto always required to accept or risk being raped)

 

Another thing is that I would like to be able to exclude more categories of NPCs, or maybe to blacklist specific NPCs. It feels weird to me to have, say, Ysolda and Carlotta standing in the queue to rape my PC after I've done favors for them. Or Talen-Jei after I got the amethysts for his wedding ring so he can marry Keerava. Or Mjoll, ever. You get the idea. For that matter, it's kind of weird that followers can solicit from the moment they leave your service. Maybe the option to exclude followers should also apply to potential/former followers?

 

In any case, no pressure from me if you aren't interested in making these changes. Just wanted to put the ideas on your radar in case you decide to include them in future versions. Thanks for making such a quality mod and really livening up my latest Skyrim playthrough.

I agree and was a little puzzled when faced with dialogue options for an off-duty approach. However, I discovered you can just hit ESC and ignore the NPC, as there's no "walk-away" topic when you exit the dialogue.

 

While we're on the topic of requests, mine would be to be able to more easily continue service as a PW with a quota.  Currently, it seems you can only get a new quota if you show up to the Thane with exactly the right amount of customers. If you're even one over (overtime!) then you can keep working, but you don't get a new quota. This removes the (fun) pressure of having to meet a quota (and the possibility of punishment if you don't), and removes the (fun) concept of being forced. And given random approaches and sex queues, it's sometimes very hard to end up back at the Thane with no OT. I would prefer dialogue that *assumes* PW service continues (or I guess technically, restarts)-- with a new quota (when prior quota is met, OT or not), e.g., "Good job. Ready for your new quota?" with at least one PC response choice that allows exiting service, e.g., "Thanks. I'm happy to serve the city." / "It seems I don't have any choice." / "Haven't I done enough for the city?" with the first two restarting the PW quest with a quota, and only the latter allowing end of service.

Thanks, I'm familiar with most of those mods. The only new mod I have since my reinstall that we both share is PW comments. Not trying to blame that, because I don't see why it would cause any issues. I'll try a new game without it and see if it fixes the problem.

My bad. I believe I have fixed in Version 1.2a of PW Comments, which has just been posted. I'm tied up today, so if anyone can confirm the fix, I would appreciate it.
