trellouk Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Thank you for the update and the subsequent patches!  A personal observation and humble suggestion: With the abundance of updates to the adult mods in this site, i think a lot of people are probably starting new games often and play them with low level characters that begin the game through Alternate Start mods and are not Dragonborns.  I think the story parts for each city will be more accessible and replayable for new playthroughs if you design them like Whiterun and Solitude (Low level nobody that gets themselves in trouble for being in the wrong place at the wrong time) instead of the Windhelm story which assumes the player character is a famous hero/dragonborn and requires a high level or normal game quest progression to be available.  Just a humble suggestion, i love the content of the mod so far and appreciate your time and communication with the community. Cheers!

I did try to find it in TESSedit without success yet. Raloof should appear out by the Windhelm stables if working properly Is that a Thane dialogue or an approach event?  3 hours ago, trellouk said: A personal observation and humble suggestion: With the abundance of updates to the adult mods in this site, i think a lot of people are probably starting new games often and play them with low level characters that begin the game through Alternate Start mods and are not Dragonborns. Perhaps, but on the other side of the coin I don't see a lot of content aimed at accomplished characters. In my opinion playing through degrading content is at its best when you've had hours to build a concept of who your character is beforehand. Not all of the content will be gated ofc but I do think one of PW's advantages is being able to mess with reputation, which means some of the quests are going to need one to exist already. 4
patryks Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Small suggestion. Convert crime into PW service. Even as simple as a conversation topic on the Thane that starts the quest. With maybe a ration of 50g for 1 service. And over 500 starts in enforcement mode. Simple and avoids the whole intercepting the arrest dialog which can conflict with other mods. Â Right now I avoid all punishment related mods because it's just too long for small bounties. But a PW is perfect for that. 5

Generally speaking I haven't even begun to think about the non-walled cities since I imagine people aren't really looking to them as PW hotspots. Since it's on a different page I can't quote them individually but will address them in listed order when they're applicable: Spoiler Cheering up Falkreath is a solid enough notion but I'm unsure how to spin it into a quest, or what a Falkreath quest would look like in general. Tonally speaking I enjoy making the PC suffer in some way although I suppose it doesn't have to be a uniform theme across the mod.  Haafingar/Solitude technically does have a quest, it's just the least 'whelming' among them  Pale/Dawnstar as a mining town gives interesting motivation to assign a public whore - the way of doing this most in line with the rest of the mod would probably be sending the player into the mines to increase worker morale, then having the declaration drop at the end that this service is being expanded to all of Dawnstar. I don't think it would be wise to comment on the sleep curse thing since IIRC the player can resolve that situation through a daedric quest.  Reach/Markarth has the Forsworn and the Silver-bloods as points of interest. I'm leaning towards having the player be made the PW as the culmination or by-product of some Silver-blood plot, rather than go with the Forsworn angle for the intro quest. Forsworn could potentially be a good radiant quest.  Whiterun also has a quest already, which will be improved but not substantially changed by, upcoming updates. I do need a radiant dragon quest idea though.  Winterhold is probably the first/only of the non-walled cities I'd write a quest for, due to the College. Similar to Markarth, it has a question floating around of whether the Jarl, or someone in the College, ultimately orchestrates the quest's events. @blahity had sent me some ideas I'd draw on for this, I think wherein another mage at the college sabotaged the PC, which I think would make it into the final quest either way. Having the PC take the fall for the town's fear of the college is a decent angle as well. I suspect there's some way to weave both aspects into one narrative.  Again if these are non-committal assessments of the ideas it's because the ideas really could be anything still - it'll depend on the tone of new content when I'm at that point, which could be several months out. So it's difficult to say that I definitely do or do not want to use anything for those quests.    Edited December 15, 2022 by Visio Diaboli 1
cerebus300 Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 I just reloaded this mod after quite a while of not using it for a while. One of the main reasons that I stopped using it was that whenever items were taken from my inventory during a PW session they are all marked as stolen when they are returned. There have been quite a few updates since and I figured that it would have been fixed, but it is still happening. Anyone else still getting this and/or has a fix been figured out by anyone?

Lenore Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 (edited) Ok, I have the newest version on SE .. clean install on a new game. I finally did get sent to whiterun through simple slavery. The queue worked great! I love it! After she completed her .. ehh, work, lol, I got back all her stuff and it was not marked as stolen. However, she was punished once and got a bunch of debuffs from it and I don't know how to remove them. I tried everything I can think of to get rid of them, they won't go away. Â OHH nevermind, I figured it out, not a bug at all. Great work, not a single problem so far!! Edited December 15, 2022 by Lenore 1
erynyes Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 (edited) ok been scratching my head the whole day with an issue, i'm using baka defeat, prior to PW latest update i've used defeat + SS outcome to trigger the startup for PW, it was working fine. Since i updated PW, i've use different method to start PW to run some test and everything seemed to work just fine, then today i tried to trigger PW outcome through defeat and found that defeat would not initiate any sex scenes, i've fiddled with load order, mcm options, etc.. could'nt get it to work anymore, i get dialogue, strip, struggle anim, but when it's time for the scene it just end and the npc turns hostile again. Upon further testing i found that creature defeat work just fine, just npc, bandits and the likes have that issue. First i thought HH was the culprit, but the only way to make it work again was to remove PW from my load order.  Anyone had that issue before? Is it something on my end or someone else can replicate this, or did the latest PW change some npc/bandits record, like factions keyword, i'm just not knowledgeable enough when it comes to these sort of thing. I just got the feeling i'm overlooking something simple but can't figure out what lol  EDIT : fixed, problem on my end Edited December 16, 2022 by erynyes
MysticDaedra Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 I'm not getting any dialogue options when trying to approach people for sex. Made public whore via Simple Slavery, if that matters.

Unfortunaly when Public whore start if not enforcer i don't get stripped of my money so i use the option take inventory in menu and lock it for now.  By the way you could consider add a replica from Jarl Ulfric when you have complete the quest public whore. Then when you sign up for "free" instruction and education in the dibellan arts (I think we were all sad that wasn't in the base game), thats when the priestesses engage the plan! They then have to break the PC down into the perfect PW to impress Silverblood and Dibella or something. Could have a lot of fun with devious training by those expert priestesses!  For Falkreath, I don't have any really solid ideas. There's a graveyard so maybe the Dragonborn gets possessed by a sex-starved turbo-slut ghost in the graveyard and is compelled to do whorish acts all over Falkreath until she gets declared PW. During this the Dragonborn has no control over her dialogue and says whatever the ghost tells her to. 1

I love the idea that its less the "city" or the Silver-Bloods making the PC into the PW, but Dibellan indoctrination/corruption, with the priestesses giving the PC to the city as a show of their good faith for all the city's donations. Could even be sent to Fort Sungard to share Dibella's love with the tense troops over there (which can work regardless of whether the Reachmen/Stormcloaks/Imperials are occupying it).Â

That it says Markarth City Guard would suggest to me that it didn't bug out on the guard itself, maybe on the next part of some loop. I've added some more none checks to the actor manager but no telling if they'll do anything. Â The papyrus log has nothing to say about PW but isn't optimistic. Â What was the context for the Dragonborn lines, comments, solicitation responses, approach dialogues? The checkbox in the MCM is looking at the same variable that dialogue should be, so if erroneous dialogues are used then either they're missing a condition or something in the script memory is fucked, either of which are possible. Â I'm getting this same error too. I loaded 1.2.2 onto a clean save after fully removing the previous version of PW, running through resaver, etc. Got invited to Windhelm for a feast, did the whole thing, then was released from being PW of Windhelm. I'm out of town now, and I saved in a relatively quiet area. Now the save crashes on load, with the .net crash log having huge blocks of the 'failed SL distance check'.
Naps-On-Dirt Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 I'm crashing after the Windhelm event again too. I can load a save made during the event, but the one right after I'm let out of the palace will not load. I don't have a crash debugger installed atm.
Seeker999 Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 (edited) Sorry to say, I'm crashing on load in Whiterun. It started after I went back to the thane to turn in my earnings for the first time. Save, load, ctd. I can load any saves (where I'm PW) prior to speaking to the thane. I'm going to see if I can get through my service by filling out my quota before going to the Thane. Hopefully I can load a save after I've completed my PW quota and am no longer PW. Some things I noticed which may or may not have anything to do with this issue: PW approaches are tripping over themselves and non-PW events. By this I mean I can be in a dialog or sex scene and a potential client gives me the "Ignoring me?" line or a guard tries to talk to me but I can't respond because something else is going on. I know it's a PW guard approach because I got a bounty for not going with him. Sometimes I have to tab out of a conversation because when it ends, my dialog choice remains onscreen and nothing happens. When I did agree to speak with the Thane I said something about him not being able to punish me and he said 'oh yeah'. It took a long time before the punishment popup box appeared and I was in the torture room. I was moving around Dragonsreach before it did. Once that box appeared, the punishment scenario seemed to progress normally. I am on SE. I'm turning in gold, not client numbers (I will try that to see if the ctd issue is related to gold turn-in).                        Edit: I'm turning in gold but MCM shows CLIENT mode. Occasionally, a sex anim doesn't trigger. I even got a good tip! . I was able to walk away, and the next time the anim triggered. FYI, I had to turn off the 'client stealing' option because they took quest items - Stones of Barenziah - which I couldn't get back. Probably best to exclude quest items.
