Im having the same issue. Wierd thing is it was working earlier in the same playtrough. However half the mod kinda works, for example I can ask NPC to help me and it starts a minigame from this mod but I can struggle myself and the MCM just says uppdating.

Is there a way to order a follower to help another follower? They can help me, I can help them, but they can't help each other and I have to rely solely on my own helper cool-downs to progress with freeing. Would be cool to have an option to tell them to help each other as well.

Has anyone had this problem before? Do you know how to solve it? I'm using the CBBE body.

This happens during Chloe's quest, right after falling into Nazen's trap. The chains don't stay connected and the clothes don't appear, if I try to re-equip the body becomes invisible and then goes back to being naked. I have tried different body types and it didn't show any results.

for a few seconds everything is normal but after some mod loads they disappear. uninstalling it made it look like it disappeared, maybe some unforgiving devices setting?

Why is my follower loosing health? She is only wearing a rare blue straightjacket. Which is a pain to unlock of her btw.

This mod works pretty good with Devious Training. With the right options in DT your character can become more powerful in devices than without them. Unfortunately DT seems to be quite a performance hog, so I had to get rid of it on my potato.

 

UD claims to also be performance-heavy but it really isn't that bad and the mechanics it adds are simply amazing.  It had become, along with Unforgiving Skyrim, my favourite mod and will stay for good.

I have not encountered any serious issues that couldn't be resolved via very robust debug functions.

A very well made mod, that deserves more attention and, in my opinion, every DD enthusiast should have it in their load order.

 

Works fine with Laura's Bondage Shop.

 

Works fine with DCL.

Makes escaping Abadon Plug much easier thanks to Universal Keys, almost trivialising it.

 

I am now doing a run without DCL. We'll see how it goes.

I'm going to add, that the only gripe I have is with patched Laura's Pleaser from Laura's Bondage Shop. In fact this is something I noticed with any device, that is supposed to be "edge only":

 

It works fine for about 10-20 minutes, then for some reason it goes into overdrive and instead of stopping just short of orgasm, it starts giving constant orgasms as if it was a regular device.

The issue is most likely with UDs new orgasm functionality.

 

The arousal is being raised correctly and does not exceed 98-99, and at the beginning the orgasm widget gets filled to about 90%, the device turns itself off and the widget drops. This can repeat several times and that's fine. But at some point the widget gets filled completely, the character orgasms, and after that it just starts giving constant orgasms. There is no edging anymore.

 

This persists until either game is reloaded or debug function is used. However even after doing that, its just a matter of time before the whole thing goes haywire again.

 

Seems like the two systems,  SLA arousal rate and UD's orgasm stops talking to each other. My wild guess is that when UD gives the character an orgasm, it also drops SLA arousal, which the plug then tries to raise, which also causes UD to raise orgasm progress, which then gives another orgasm dropping arousal which in turn... you get the picture.

Could you be more specific, please?

 

What version of UD are you using? What mod are these animations from? Are they paired or single animations?

 

To make it easier for me to figure out, I need animation names. You can see them if you switch the logging to level 3. (in MCM => Unforgiving Devices => General => Logging Level). After that, there will be a stream of messages in the console when the animation starts. Animation name(s) will be printed in a lines like

[...] UD_AnimationManagerScript::StartSoloAnimationSequence() akActor = <akActor>, aasAnimation = <Animation Name(s)>, ...
[...] UD_AnimationManagerScript::StartPairAnimationSequence() akActor = <akActor>, akHelper = <akHelper>, aasAnimationA1 = <Animation Name(s)>, ...

 

If it's hard to find out then send me an archive with the contents of “<Data>\skse\plugins\StorageUtilData\UD\Animations”. The correspondence between situations and animations are set in these files.

 

In version 2.1.1 and the latest version in the repository I don't see any problems, but I'll try to figure it out.

someone help, when there's an orgasm animation it only plays 1-2 animation even tho theres like 4 or 5 more.(ITS THE ONE WHERE THE LEGS ARE CROSSED)

IDK HOW THE legs are crossing when I bind the legs together. any fix or help?

The Universal Key removes other devices for me, but did not remove the Abadon Plug. Does the Universal Key remove the Abadon Plug for you?

No it doesn't. I meant in general sense. Once the key is used you only have to worry about the plug itself, since everything that is blocking access to it is gone. This is what I meant by "trivialising". You have more time and energy you can spend on the plug itself, instead of desperately racing against time. And I did say "almost trivialising". I would've omitted the first word if the plug was removed as well.

You need to make them into Devious Devices first. Here's a tutorial on how to do it relatively easy-ish. Then use the script from download files to have them converted to use UD's system.

 

Both steps require you to know how to work with xEdit in the first place.

I have a little problem where none of the supposed animations are playing on the current version (struggle, orgasm, etc.), they work fine on version 2.0 Was wondering if I'm missing something?

 

I'm playing on SE, Tried running it with both FNIS, DAR and NEMESIS, started a new game, have all the requirements. Changelog said something about Excel table but surely I don't need Excel for this to work? Any tips would be appreciated!

If I understand correctly, you are using Skyrim SE, UD 2.1.1 and DD SE 5.2? Are you using DD NG? I'm not sure if it is possible to get a stable build without DD NG after the latest patches from Todd.

 

Please see if animations are enabled on the MCM settings page. Unforgiving Devices -> Animations. There should be a list of mods with animations that are used by UD.

All checkboxes should either be enabled or unavailable if the required mod was not found. At the bottom is the Reload button to apply the changes.

 

The next option is that something is seriously broken in the animation subsystem. In this case I need the papyrus logs. To make the logs more detailed before the tests, turn on logging to maximum. You can do it in Unforgiving Devices -> General settings. Switch "Logging" to level 3.

The logs will be in 'Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs\Script\Papyrus.0.log'. Send me the whole thing, or the part where you tried running the animation.

Yeah, correct, I have DD NG installed, everything else about the mod seems to be working just fine.

 

The animations are there with the box checked, pressing the reload button doesn't change anything. I get this error message in the console but I'm not sure what it means exactly. Thanks for trying to help me figure this out!

I just installed this mod and this popped up. IDK what i did wrong. I've installed all the requirements, I'm not over the plugin limit or using the wrong versions for any of the requirements. Don't have any of the listed incompatibility's installed. Any help would be wonderful. 😔

Ordinator is a soft dependency and shouldn't break animations, although the logs from it can look intimidating.

 

Otherwise, I don't see any errors in the log. But every request for a list of possible animations gets an empty array.

 

I can assume that the errors are hiding somewhere in the libraries used to handle json files (i.e. PapyrusUtil and SKSE). I'm not sure I've run UD 2.1 on versions older than SKSE 2.1.5 and Skyrim 1.6.353. And I probably haven't tested Skyrim 1.5.97 with animations at all.

 

I need time to deploy a separate copy of the game to check older SSE version.

I'm running SSE 1.597 with minimal mods, and the animations work fine.

 

Please send me the file "Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\PapyrusUtilDev.log". I don't know what I can see or understand there, but I don't have any more options.

 

Alternatively, the animation list requests are being hindered by some error in the json files. Try disabling all the files on the settings page and enable them one by one, checking the result of the requests. Don't forget to press Reload JSON.

 

You can make test requests right there in the settings. Select parameters and press "Test query".

just asking because I downloaded the mod for the controlable plugs and didnt read the mod page all that well and I didnt know that this would happen

UD doesn't equip random devices to NPC's. If it does it would be through plugs or piercings having a modifier for time based or orgasm based device manifestation. You can control how both of those works in MCM, what the chances are.

 

But in general if NPC's get devices they come from your other mods, Cursed Loot perhaps or Enchanted chests, Devious Carriages, Devious Strike... i'm not sure what you have installed. All those mods usually have an option to disable follower support (not equip things on them when trap happens for example).

 

There is also a hotkey to register NPC/follower to the mod so that she will automatically struggle out of them without your help.

 

.. oh there is 1 other matter, UD does change poison dart traps in dungeons. If anyone gets hit by them it will equip a lot of hard devices.
