Wanted to try the lockpick. It just got to do the usual struggle animation. Same thing with unlock with key. A bug, setting in mcm or an error?

No bug, it is supposed to start struggle animation that you are seeing. Then watch out for green or blue flash on the body that happens randomly, you need to match the right hotkey when it happens, A or D i think the default was but you can change in MCM, also how the flash is displayed. Blue is magic and green stamina. If you hit it in time you start lockpicking or it unlocks with the other option. MCM also has the setting for how fast you need to press it.

Cutting also uses other hotkey that should be S i think default.

Need a little info I think.

MCM Fine tuning!

You need to fine tune UD difficulty against SLS exhausted feature if you want to use both.

Actually every mod you have installed that will draw stamina/de-buff stamina reg will make it harder to escape.

So you need to setup your game to be able to escape if your SP pool is pristine, while it gets hard to impossible without SP.

Means you need to find solutions during low SP times to get SP back. Either spells, potions, wait till stats regenerate or even ask NPC for help.

Many options for escaping DD role-play depending on your installed mods and MCM settings.

Patches are more for solving conflicts and not as redundant solutions for MCM settings.

The goal is that you can't escape under certain conditions to spice things up.

I really like petsuit, but it never equips in heavy bondage events or similar. how do i make it appear as often as straitjackets, armbinders or yoke?

Interesting observation, come to think of it - you're right, it really not appearing. My suspicion would be something to do with leveled lists of DD, as all devices are taken from there.

To fix this LLs has to be investigated and maybe small patch to be made with necessary corrections.

I'm a complete zero in Skyrim modding. I recently had an idea for which I even installed Creation Kit and tried to figure it out myself, but quickly realised that it takes an inordinate amount of time.

Yeah, CK is abomination. Small edits like this better done in xEdit.

Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but as of version 2.1.1 Abadon devices equipped by goo traps (the darts replacer) don't seem to respect the device filter settings. Playing on AE 1.6.640.0

I keep getting "you're to exhausted" to remove the Abadon plugs and piercings. They're the last items I need to remove and there's no active effect being applied by UD. There is a health and stamina debuff putting both into the red but that's from the mod Last Seed.

Exhausted state usually means too low on health/stamina/magicka, too many struggle exhaustions (by default 2) or too many orgasm exhaustions (by default 5).

Check your magic effects and UD settings.

HI!,

I believe mod is not running properly. can you help me?

First off, everything seems fine, no warning or anything.

(1st test): Im able to start the game with an alternate start (Im a scaped slave) and start with a fresh bunch of restrains on me.

First thing weird: when equiping the restrains UD raises an error alert. (UD has no custom device sript)

Then Im able to struggle usselsly out of my chatity belt... no minigame started. Just a masturbation animatio. Device suffered no damage.

Also there is no other way to remove it (no unlock option, cut or anything. ¿is this intended?¿how can I remove it?)

(2nd test): So I started another different run in a random city and run around until someone bound me. (plenty of UD has no custom device script errors).

I had an armbinder.

When "tab" I was unable to access mi inventory (¿this is intended?¿No chance to acces inventory until armbinder is out?) instead of that I was able to struggle, cut, unlock, etc. Tried to struggle to check if a minigame started but I saw nothing special (other than my stamina draining like crazy).

(3rd test): So I started a 3rd run, and run around naked until bound.

Plenty of errors again, no armbinder.

I was able to use the standard DD unlock sistem on several devices.

So... need to know:

- I supose errors are from devices not patched? (I'm right?) --> I clicked in all patches available during instalation and instaled the patch kit 1.7, just in case. ¿anything else that can be done? ¿maybe in MCM?.

- Someone with experience with this mod: The rest of the behaviour is working as intended?

Im on SSE 1.6.1170, followed installation instructions, only change is that COnsole Utils mod (linked in Unforgiving devices instructions) casused my game to crash, I changed it for Console Utils NG (from nexusmods), apparently UD recognizes it as there is no warning on start.

HALLO!,

Wieder viele Fehler, kein Armbinder.

Also... müssen Sie wissen:

- Ich nehme an, dass Fehler von Geräten herrühren, die nicht gepatcht sind? (Ich habe recht?) -> Ich habe während der Installation alle verfügbaren Patches angeklickt und für alle Fälle das Patch-Kit 1.7 installiert. ¿Kann sonst noch etwas getan werden? ¿Vielleicht in MCM?.

In my opinion, you have already started the tests completely wrong - because you first test the core functions of the mod... and not whether it works with other mods (like your LAL scenario).

In your starting cell, you can simply "cheat" a standard DD device into your inventory via "additem" and put it on... now you try to "get rid of it" again.

And no - you do NOT start with the armbinder straight away - but perhaps with a collar or gloves - then the inventory is NOT locked.

Yes - you observed correctly - with armbinders or yokes the inventory is locked - you can actually ONLY "fight".

And remember - you are at level 1 when you start - where is magic or stamina supposed to come from? Of course the bars drop rapidly!

If it all works -> get out of the cell and progress the main game until the courier comes... after the first victory over a dragon.

Then go to the bandit hideout - fight it free and pick up an Adadon plug.

If you are now completely locked in DD devices - essential core elements of the mod are working.

Now you can worry about the interaction with other mods.

Another note about the "mini-game" ... it took me some time (several days) until I halfway understood what was required of me.

When "fighting out" you can choose between several options:

- with the help of magic - gives experience in "destruction"

- with the help of stamina - gives experience in "pickpocketing"

- with the help of your own life energy - gives experience in 2-handed combat

During the "fight" animation the player can briefly light up "green" (for stamina) or "blue" (for magic) - then it's time to press the keys set in the MCM as quickly as possible... the standard is probably "A" for magic and "D" for stamina... at the same time you can also see the bars flashing

(the whole thing is probably to score a "critical hit" - at least the status bar of the "locking device" visibly drops)

If you can't choose between these options when "fighting out" (e.g. with the armbinder) - then this mechanism with the "flashing" still works.

If your hands are free - you can usually choose to "pick the lock" instead of "fight it out" ... it's logical that success here improves the corresponding skill.

The mini-game (it flashes "blue" or "green") also seems to work here - in any case, the animation (character finds himself in the shackles) is interrupted and the image with the lock and the lock picks appears.

If the lock is broken - you have the option to repair it - increases the blacksmith skill

Here too, the character squirms and lights up alternately "blue" or "green" - if the corresponding button is pressed in time - then the status bar of the device/lock INCREASES ... you want to "make it whole" again.

Overall, this mod requires a lot of time to try out and learn the game mechanics ... and thus has a lot of potential for frustration for the player!

I also wanted to throw this mod away several times... but then I always got back on track.

Ah, to test it I used a cheat mod that gives you a ring that gives you almost unlimited life energy, magic and stamina and also increases lock picking to "ultra level"... that was the only way I had the chance to do these tests!

One quick question.

I'm reading again documentation. It talks about a DCL patch, but I'm doubting I installed this one.

This is a different patch/download or should be included during the installation of the mod?

A patch helps one mod to interact properly with another ... but it varies how Skyrim reacts - if you install a patch - without the "target mod" being present:

a) the Skyrim engine ignores the patch - that is ultimately the most straightforward case

b) the mod organizer (Vortex or MO2) reports a missing "master" (the "target mod" of the patch) as NOT present - so you have an error message BEFORE starting the game and can react accordingly ... either supply the "master" or remove the patch (because you don't need it!)

c) there is no error message and the game crashes with a CtD when starting - as happened to me with another mod just the day before yesterday ... then you are initially left with no information when troubleshooting and can only guess ... luckily I only had one mod installed and not several at once

That's the basis for now ... from which it becomes clear - really only the Installing patches that you CURRENTLY need for your game - if you later install a mod that requires a patch - you also have to reinstall the "base mod" ... but there are mods where you can download the patches individually - which makes the work much easier.

Now to DCL ... that's a pretty "old" mod - in the sense that it's been around for a long time.

A very good mod - but it no longer suits my current style of play.

It already has really hardcore elements (like "damsel in distress") - if this mod is added to it ... I have no idea whether you can actually reconcile it with real life to spend the time needed to fight your way out of it.

I preferred to combine this mod with "Circle of Lust" (patch is available) ... because my current characters tend towards "Succubus" or "Bimbo".

For anyone receiving the "ID has no custom device script" error when being locked on restrains...

This guy had the answer.

I installed DD NG way before UD and forgot about this.

Solution (vortex):

- go to plugging.

- click on rules.

- add rule "UD DD patch" "must load after" "taki".

Should solve the problem for anyone that has same issue than myself.

Exhausted state usually means too low on health/stamina/magicka, too many struggle exhaustions (by default 2) or too many orgasm exhaustions (by default 5).

Check your magic effects and UD settings.

Lots of debuffs to stamina from Last Seed. That was it. Orgasm and struggle exhaustions were cleared. Last seed had extreme health and stamina debuffs applied due to starvation and a lack of accessible food in black reach. I wasn't going to take on the Falmer in the condition the player was in to try to get some either.

I'll check the UD settings but that time I had to use UD's "I escaped somehow" function.

Hey I'm playing Unforgiving Skyrim, and I'm not sure if this is a question for this mod or that one, but:

How do you remove the inflatable plugs? I've been trying for hours, on easy mode - making sure to resist orgasms, making sure to cancel my remove attempts before exhausting myself or have an orgasm. I've been able to remove all the other equipment - even the piercings. But the plugs don't have a "struggle with magic" option.

Edit: Figured it out by accident. Wish the instructions weren't so long and confusing lol
