I will load up Sexymove and see if I can recreate it. I used it in the past lots, but not recently. A bit more info might help me pin point things...

  • can you tell me the specific text of the notification that seems to coincide?
  • are you wearing a Toys blindfold toy?
  • LE or SE?
  • Is it only ever on game load?

I play LE.

 

So far only on game load. While equipping some animations does reset things, that is normal for both sexymove and FNIS PCEA. Having it happen on load isn't.

 

I don't remember the specific startup notifications but when I get a chance to load into the game again I will let you know. I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary though. Same messages I usually saw with previous versions of Toys installed.

 

Not wearing any of the items. It's a brand new file and I don't even have any toys to wear yet.

It just says Toys 1.0. BTW. All I know is the issue goes away if I disable the Toys mod and only started with the most recent update.

I've tested with Sexymove and made some changes I'm watching. Toys did indeed turn off sexymove Alternate Animations (AAs) on game load, and it's got reasons, but in my test, which I will release in next release if it works out, that's no longer happening on game load.

 

Way it works:

  • FNIS Sexymove, on game load, turns on sexy AAs
  • Toys needs to turn on AAs when a toy calls for it... Arm Binding, Yoke, Blind movement, and Crawl. If any of those are already in effect with toys, toys will be overriding the sexymove AAs
  • Toys was "resetting" AAs on game load as a preventative measure for where something has gone very wrong, like maybe mod conflict, and at least you could get back to not broken by re-loading the game. So hence why it was turning Sexymove off, on game load. But for the new approach I'm testing, I'm doing the AA reset as part of the new Player Reset option in MCM, instead of using game load

 

Now I know I went and got all technical there, but if you are following that, you will see that Sexymove is going to get turned off in all those cases...  Arm Binding, Yoke, Blind movement, and Crawl. Its not just game load.

 

Sexymove was never designed to be able to say... hey, some other mod has done some AAs, so I will wait and reinvoke mine later. So while Toys can stop turning them off on game load, which I agree, is a good idea, Toys can never avoid turning them off for all those other cases, unless I just never perform those features. I have no way to make it fully compatible, as the feature would need to be in Sexymove.

 

As a solution, you could use a vanilla walk/run "replacer" mod instead of Sexymove. That's what I do. There's several out there. A vanilla replacer works because when AAs are turned off, skyrim defaults to vanilla animations, and these replacers replace that, unlike sexymove.

I liked sexymove the most and tried to make my own walk/run mod from its animations but they'd never work lol.

 

My main issue was more it turning off both FNIS PCEA and Sexymove. I already know sexymove's other flaws but I have methods to deal with them.

As I will have some spare time soon, what would you guys think about an adaption of my mod DMC?

So, "[Toyful/Frisky/Playful...] Mimic Clothes" (I still need a good adjective) - a mod, that randomly transforms worn equippables (armor, clothing, jewelry) into generic Toys, fitting to body region?

 

Oh, and what adjective would you prefer or suggest? ^^

I love the premise of this mod :D You can only be nekid to be safe :P

 

Think I'd name it Metamorphosing Mimic Armor. But ya its bit of a mouthful.

 

Toyful Mimic is also good, but I think people would connect that with the Toyful Temptations mod and think they are from the same author. If you and Scrab think that does not matter, that works.

Well, the variant for Devious Devices is Devious Mimic Clothes, therefor I thought something that has to do with playing as adjective would fit for the Toys Framework as base ^^

And yeah, I'll probably join the Discord, there most certainly will be some question how to handle the framework at first :)

i have a suggestion, have a possibility that when looting a body, or a chest, Nightly will appear and equip a random toy for a toy box. the toy box could be set to random or a specific toy box. when a slot is filled she could say "oh i see you already have something equipped. lets try this one."

The mod already dealing with looting bodies and chests, is Toyful Temptations. Its made by a different author. Perhaps you have it? I'd encourage you to encourage that author :) by posting in the Toyful Temptations thread. Of course it would not be Nightly, TT would need it's only little bit of lore.

 

Toy Story will never be a looting mod, but will have a much more content coming in its main quest which currently you can only see the beginning of. But Toy story already does have the Curse of Talos quest, a little side quest that surprises you by equipping random toys from any toy box. Have you encountered this yet?

ty for pointing out Toyful Temptations, i didnt know about it. if it does what i am hoping it will do, it will allow me to remove DCL from the SLaVE profile for LE that i had Vortex make. which will mean i have to use the clean LAL cell but that will be fine :)

V1.0 is our official "exit from beta", but what does this actually mean?

  • Backward Compatibility going forward - From this point forward, content mod authors can expect backward compatibility. This means the API wont force a recompile, will remain compatible, and Toys assets in use won't disappear, or change their position in Toy Boxes (can't promise the Toy Boxes part, if the Toy Box is from another author)
  • Feature Complete -  I mean when is a mod ever complete? But the features we set out to do for V1 are done, and some extras crept in. The only exception to this is NPC support is minimal (cosmetic only), and this is one of the items on the list for the near future
  • Stability - It's been pretty solid all through beta, and the plan it to keep it that way
  • Toy Story - This separate quest & demonstration mod continues to be updated to provide tests/demos of new Toys functionality. You will need the latest version. Toy Story will exit its own beta period later on
  • Bodyslide - We have discontinued support for SE UNP. SE BHUNP 3bbb support continues. This reduction to 5 bodies which will remain supported, instead of 6, will free up time for making things so compelling, it will be worth it to switch to another body for the 2% of users effected

Hello, I've managed to bug out my character in such a way that she is now perma-signing even though she has no gag on. I had a bratty silencer equipped on through toyful temptations, removed it with a key as usual and promptly dropped it somewhere in the depths of Ustengrav. Since having it equipped, my char has been signing and has not stopped.  I tried:

 

looking in MCM current active status/effects, which shows no gag equipped.

reset character (mcm option), then talking to someone. still signing

unequip toys with restricted keyword (mcm option), then talking to someone. still signing.

unequip toys with unrestricted keyword (mcm option), then talking to someone. still signing. 

re-equipping a bratty silencer, then removing it with a key. I see it visually attach/unattach to character. still signing with it off. 

 

She had a collar on as well which the first keyword-removal properly removed. I am getting all of the signing animations, dialogue, and status updates (ie 'signing success'). So everything works properly, except that she's stuck signing.

 

Is there anything else I should try before I give up on this young lady's ability to talk forevermore?

edit: Im SSE with the latest 1.0 ver of Toys & I don't use devious devices

  1. Does always signing mean...
    • the animation never stops, even when not talking to an NPC?
    • Or does it mean the signing animation just keeps occurring when you talk to an NPC?  <-- for this I believe I've already fixed and it will be in a small maintenance release that is coming shortly
  2. What happens if you load a previous save? I think you would clear the case of not being able to talk to any NPC, but may need to remove the gag. The bug I fixed is NPC specific, so you would not get caught in this stuck scenario in all cases, which might be why I don't have 100 reports of the problem. Yours is the first

For #1 I meant the latter, I think? Basically everything is "normal" except whenever I go to talk to an NPC, she is signing even though she doesn't have a gag. If you already fixed this then great! I'll just wait for the next release.

#2 If I load a previous save, she initiates dialogue normally.

 

Re: the collar thing, sorry for the confusion. By 'keyword' I meant the 'unequip toys with restricted keyword' MCM option properly removed the collar. I was just testing it to see if maybe there was a gag invisibly equipped or something that would also come off at the same time, but that wasn't the issue.

So she's signing without a gag, but it works, and you can still talk to the NPC... that right?

 

Basically that would mean you need to go back to that save that clears it, or "role play" that you are always wearing a gag :P   Till I release.... lol.

I'd like to confirm the fix works for your scenario. What would help, if you don't mind to spend some time, is to get your papyrus log (a how to is in the FAQs if you need that)...

 

Specific actions to capture in the log...

  1. Start game up and load any save. Not a new game please
  2. In MCM set Logging to "Very Verbose"
  3. If any gag worn, get rid of it however, and drop it on the ground
  4. Manually, or using MCM, put a gag on
  5. Take gag off - use self bondage feature, or a key
  6. Do Debug Player Reset
  7. Exit game and grab that log

For the toy story quest, my quest journal is to find a scholar in helgen, however the quest marker is nowhere near helgen and it seems its actually floating in the sky on the map

It would be a quick test to try a new game, and see if this recreates, since that quest and objective starts immediately.

 

This is a corrupt save, the same issue we have been discussing in the SLaVE thread.

Toys 1.01 Released

  • It's a minor maintenance release. See Change Log

Other mods by the Toys Team, have not updated.

There is a mod now using Toys that came out today... you can see all here... Toys Family of Mods

Hi guys,

 

I'm having an issue of the toys not fitting correctly and are either clipping into my characters body or in the case of the nipple toys are floating out of place. Another thing I've found is that the bratty shoes are making my feet invisible with no skin or toy texture.   

 

I've followed the golden rule, I'm using the CBBE HDT body and done a batch build in body slide with the "build morphs" box ticked. 

At first I thought it could be mods installed like MME affecting things and have since removed them to the same result of the toys not sitting right. 

 

I.ve also looked through the first page to make sure I haven't missed any steps in running the toy mods correctly.

 

Any help on this would be awesome as I don't know if I've missed something or if this is a common issue with CBBE.

You've definitely missed something.

 

Since you said CBBE HDT body, I will assume you are using LE.

The bratty heels invisible is a big clue. They are unique because they are the only toy that will end up invisible if you DON'T install one of the bodyslide packages. You should start here. You say you are batch building, but are you seeing Toys in the list it builds? You should see names prefixed with "Toys". You should be able to select a group called Toys.

 

Make sure you are using FAQ #1.

 

Also if you have ended up removing mods, not at the end of your load order, in the process, make sure you are starting a new game.

Thank you very much for your help.

 

I had forgotten to get the Toys bodyslide and had only downloaded the Virgin Bodyside.

I was getting all the current toys related mods at the same time and had confused the two as being the same thing when following the installation process. 

 

feel like a bit of an idiot as the answer was right in front of me if I just slowed down on getting the mods one at a time correctly.
