LL painfully slow?

Hello.

 

I'm in East EU and during the past few weeks now the LL site is painfully slow. I can still view forum threads as well as download mods (in fact, download speeds are normal!), but as a site to browse/post/comment it's on the verge of being unusable.

 

Does anyone know what's happening and/or do any of you experience the same issue?

 

My Internet speed isn't that great, but it's more than capable of playing 4K youtube video with no issues alongside downloading a game from Steam at 5-7 Mbps. Also worth mentioning is that I'm primarily running Firefox, although I've tried to access the site via other browsers (Edge, Chrome, Opera, Brave) and it's the same story so I doubt it's web browser's fault.

Damn. So picked the wrong time to finally decided to play Starbound (GamePass PC) and mod it after the mods I've been hearing about for so long....... And even more so that this is one of the first games I Actually mod so I had some hiccups and decided to do a clean re-"install" of all the mods I downloaded.

Yup. Like I said in the post, download speeds aren't Steam or Origin fast, but I can download mods without any issues. Browsing and accessing the site is the problem, not downloading stuff.

Lol i through is only me.But i did guess is happen on almost everywhere not only this website is because Christmas crowded internet during Holidays then after none give a fuck on those website after christmas gone,when everything come back to normal:)))).Sometimes i hate holidays.

8k at this moment (you can check by yourself). Also I've been getting a MySQL error (500) too out of nowhere suddenly.

+1, ran into the same MySQL error yesterday a few times after posting this topic.

Yes, there are over 6k users on site which means that LL runs slower than otherwise. If it wasn't running slower than usual there would likely be over 7k users on site.

 

Let's not forget what we can do to help speed up the site. Post pictures, videos and walls of text within spoilers. Use only static images in signatures and avatars (nothing moving; it slows the site and violates rule #5 which I've placed in a spoiler below for reference).

Forum signatures should not be larger than 250 pixels high or 600 pixels wide. They must not contain any affiliate links, or links to paysites, and must be static (no animated gif). Signatures are allowed to contain pornographic content, as long as it is not anything deemed hardcore, which is up to the judgment of the site staff. A certain amount of leeway in regards to signature sizes or avatars is allowed here, the most important thing is to simply not make your signature overly intrusive or distracting. Avatars, like signatures, should also be static images and not animated. 

 

Yes, it only helps marginally but every little bit helps and. if enough people do it, it might help more than just a little bit.

 

Edit: There are over 7k users now as of 2:40 PM GMT.

It's clearly an issue with the site, and hopefully @Ashal is working on it.  I'm in the US and not only is the site really slow, I'm getting gateway errors, both 502 and 504 (mostly 504).

Purge cookies for LL, restart your browser. I'm in US East and it's slow-ish but not unusable.

Yep, slow for me as well.

 

If the admins need to restrict things like signatures or image file sizes, (the "show your character" thread is basically unloadable and has been for over a year, even during "good" times) or start asking for help to pay for a better host then they really need to go ahead and do that. With 7k users online, surely a few of us can chip in if need be.
