USA wants to ban porn worldwide

Recommended Posts

PLEASE DON'T REMOVE THIS

I was on Reddit when I saw a post talking about a new "bill" which, basically, will ban every form of porn (even MODS, that's why I'm posting here) from internet. They want to do this worldwide.

So it won't matter if you're from USA or Europe, you won't find anything porn-related.

You can see the whole thing better on Twitter, I'm posting the link I found on Reddit so that you all can read all of it.

I just hope that this stupid bill won't pass, or else even this site will be killed by it.

this sounds unreal but very possible because they don't give a shit about others, but eliminating that type of content just sounds unfair because this world is dying by their implanted ideas of making the whole world a virgin...

if i could live so much time to see how the world slowly falls by their hipocresy... that would be soo exciting... but i can't

so all i have is this sorrow against humanity and desires to demolish everything to dust... i feel sorry for everyone here

This thread is worth as much as the notion that the US somehow controls what other countries police. Stupid subject, stupid thread, stupid people and the notion that the legislative branch is actually in session right now.

This bill only affects US companies posting >>consumer<<  grade not-for-profit media on US soil, and if you think otherwise you're an idiot and should stop using the internet.

Yes.. they will ban porn.. so that they can't get the billions of tax dollars that that generates. Next they will ban taboo as well... you know, because it is unhealthy.. for people .. again not unhealthy for the taxes that they place on it.  Hell, they even made marijuana legal.. yep... so that they can tax it.

USA preventing porn across the world.. yea.. right.... Just like Trump was going to make Mexico pay for the wall... wishful thinking.. USA can't even get the governments to honor their varieties much less force them to follow their Agendas... Yep..have Trump call Putin and tell him he can't watch his porn because the USA states so... Then listen to how loud Putin laughs...

Now, tighter regulation of all things porn related ... in the USA.. Perhaps tax it or something along those lines.. then perhaps yes. It would only really effect the citizens of the US and/or any country that wanted their piece of the $$$ pie... but likely a lot of people. Imagine if there was a tax on porn related mods.. This site would have to fork up ever increasing $$$$ to stay open. Just because of digital pussies, tits and pricks... Many places like this one wou8ld have to go under, (or over.. as in the border) etc. Now this.. I can believe. Anything to get their hands deeper into our pockets so that they can blow tons of cash on various bullshit projects and tax benefits for the rich  people and corporations.

Oh.. the nature of this conversation is POLITICAL... following the current interpretation of the site rules.

Eh I can honestly say the USA will never ever ban anything they can Tax.  Its just that simple.  If Rich people and Corportations and local / state / federal government gets income for it, it will never go away.  Remember the Anti smoking campaigns of the 80's? *knocks the ash off his ciggie before continuing to type*  Yeah so not happening, they will just put a "sin" tax on it so that the only people that can afford to deal in it, are the ones that can afford to knock out all the other competitors and then price fix.  IN the end poor people will have to do without (like they do everything else) while the rich continue to indulge cause they have the money to afford their Privilege.

sure it is, so is being able to drive a car, go fishing or hunting, or go to a public park or library for that matter.  None of those are Rights as recognized by law, they are Privileges that we are afforded (if we can afford them, see the pun there?) they are controlled, monitored, and (and in the US) Taxed.  Cant afford car insurance, dont have the money for that fishing license? sorry you dont get to partake, or you get fined / jailed if you are caught doing so without the proper permits.  Same goes with ciggies, alcohol and now in 17 states and counting marijuana.  A good example of this, is this post actually.  I have a 1st amendment right to say what ever I want, however its only because I have been allowed the privilege of doing so here, that i can share these words with you on this site.  Any time you are required to get permission from some outside agency to engage in a behavoir you are being granted a privilege by said agency, in the case of smoking, you have to 1. prove required age, 2. provide substantial monetary sources to the governing agencies (formerly mentioned "Sin" tax), 3. do so in only approved / allowed spaces and 4. promise not to provide said material necessary to engage in said behavoir to anyone who doesnt meet the requirements that were set forth for said use.

I think these virtue signaling butt plugs have a better chance of proving every black hole in the universe has a copy of Half-Life 3 let alone trying to ban porn world wide.  Japan, Brazil, Russia, UK and most of the EU will collectively tell them to fuck off because most of their capital comes from the porn industry.  Just look at the hentai market in Japan as an example; banning that would completely eviscerate not only the hentai market but most if not all of manga or anime.  And don't even get me started on the States, Silicon Valley alone would fold like crash and burn literally overnight

I think MonVert was likely being sarcastic.  He probably meant that, to non-smokers, smoking appears to be a personal burden, rather than a personal privilege.  Not a privilege in the sense you mean.

I keep thinking that the Internet needs a sarcasm font.  Something with drippy green letters maybe?

This just tells me politicians in general are so damn stupid, but US ones especially; you can ban porn but it doesn't do anything, the porn industry would just move to a country that's more open to it, probably Canada, Mexico, or some random country in eastern europe.

If the bill could even be enforceable, or be passed, like the rest of the world would just ignore it and laugh at the US like we've been doing since 2016.  Though on the very very very low chance that a bill actually passes unlike the hundreds of others some have tried to push through, I would be worried about a cascading series of worse and worse bills, chipping away at the sex industry, slowly making it more expensive to run a sex-based company or organisation over a single bill that in effect bans pornography through taxation or censorship since the courts would probably invalidate any attempts at enforcing it.

I really wish american leaders would learn that banning something simply makes it more popular, and in the end causes major harm to the people they're trying to 'save' through a lack of proper regulatory oversite.

What bill are you talking about?  The removal of Section 230 of the 1996 Communications Decency Act, which protects ISPs from being legally liable for user posted content?     While both political parties hate it for different reasons, the fact that Trump is so hot on it actually gives it the best chance of not becoming a reality.    Namely, he found it offensive after Twitter and Facebook started adding "misleading" labels to his posts.

Removal of this protection would affect LL, as well as other sites that depend on user contributed content, not just porn.  It would also only apply to ISPs that operate within the US.   So, if it were made to be real, then the Cayman Islands would say "thank you very much" and "Cha Ching", in additions to VPNs, as all the user content websites move outside of the US.

It would, though, affect those sites that cannot move to Bermuda or the Cayman Islands, or Cyprus, or etc . etc.

The USA has a fairly poor record of successfully banning stuff in their own country, never mind the world.

As an American citizen I can pretty much vouch for this statement. Believe me, the world has nothing to worry about lol. If anything, don't give in to the fear-mongering.

I remember a little place called Rome, and the many references to it being recognized as a great nation and all the stuff that goes with it, before falling to corruption and tearing itself apart through greed - weakening it to the point of collapse. I also remember sometime afterwards another thing called the Dark Ages and other stuff like the 'inquisitions/witch hunts'.

If history does indeed repeat itself - then here we go again......

Thought I'd post a quote here from an Adult Visual Novel I read recently. While I keep my opinions to myself concerning most all sexual choice, it's the last line here that concerns me the most, as it shows a pronounced controlling approach to freedoms outside the bounds of a given situation.

This week, Patreon contacted me again and asked that I remove all incest-related words from the game before the end of the month.
That means basically removing all references of F and D being relatives in the script. They also asked for me to not link my game to websites that include incest content.

There's no way anything will come of this. America has been trying to ban video games and porn since the dawn of time, not very successfully.

Private companies and the like have been taking a harder anti-NSFW stance in recent years but as soon as they do an alternative site is created (e.g. Patreon spawning SubscribeStar) and it's not like the company ends up better off after they cut off their adult audience either, look at what happened to Tumblr...

yeah even those super sjws who hate men and want to cover up big titted woman need a little steam too release every now and then. and don't tell me that they don't!

sjw's are the biggest hypocrites around. they constantly talk about equality, the so called "proper body type" and so on but you know in a heart beat because of their envy for better looking people they would drop any chance to make themselves look more "pretty" yet they go on about the inner beauty bunch of crap that is. And their idea of equality does more damage then good especially if they go around changing the races of pre established characters just makes people point the finger at them and call them racist.

but were getting off topic at hand here so i will stop, anyways this shit always goes on and there is no point in getting yourself work up over it. Case and point how many times the government of america has talked about banning guns. i don't think one year passes without the mention of guns being outlawed. Same thing can be said for video games, since the dawn of time talking heads of the government have been trying and failing miserably to ban video games.

I would say the difficulty with guns is our 2nd amendment rights. Not so easy to change fundamental policies of our governing charter. On the other hand - Larry Flynt went to bat for all of us here years ago when he continually fought for porn to be recognized by our 1st amendment rights.

You can't sell either guns or porn to the underage, yet that doesn't make it illegal. I also think the rest of the world is a bit tired of the USA and really could care less about the views here. The US tends to bend the knee more to other cultures because of the almighty $. As mentioned above - if one company wants to 'clean up' it's act, demand will create opportunity for others as long as that demand is legal.
