"Simpler" as in even less interesting things to do. It might sound intriguing, but I kinda bet it would turn out boring and tedious if you end up having to mine stuff and not much else for say a few in game days.

Hex Bolt Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 1 hour ago, metalhead_hr said: Every time I try to complete the quest A strong Hand it fails on me. The collar must be properly equipped for the mod to recognize it. If it shows as equipped in inventory, that's not a reliable indication that it really is equipped. You can test it by wearing the collar (manipulating the lock is okay, if you wish) and entering "player.WornHasKeyword zad_DeviousCollar" in the console. If the result is not true, the collar is not properly equipped, which is a Devious Devices issue (this mod just checks for the keyword).  Another indication of a problem is if you don't actually see the collar on your character.  Collars use slot 45. Any mod that takes over that slot, such as race mods (to add a body part) or armor/accessory mods will block the collar from working.  Devious devices can get into a bugged state and not be recognized. The latest DD 5 beta has a fix to prevent this. If you're bugged, you can also fix the problem yourself, as described in the second item in this post. To avoid a recurrence, stay away from functions that unequip all items on your character, unless they are DD-aware. A common culprit is SkyUI's outfit hotkeys, which will bug devious devices if the unequip armor option is checked for that hotkey.  Your mod list shows both the lore patch and the struggles patch from Devious Lore, which specially says not to use both. That could be a problem. For that matter, if you're having trouble with a DD item and you're using any patch that modifies DD (like the Lore patches), that's a suspect.

An extremely tedious one, but it worked. I went into every VKJ quest and edited the Alias to Aela. (Just because she was at the top of the dropdown) and then added the FemaleCommander voice type as a condition for each quest. This allowed the CK to export the dialogue properly and they all showed up as FemaleCommander. Once I copied the columns to the Batchfile CSV, it was easy to swap the game to CP and the voice to FemV. Yeah, it was a lot of work. But I think I came out well. Normally, I'd manually edit each dialogue line in XVA, but there were far too many in this mod for that. So they are pretty much as-is from the batch process. Still. I think it came out well. Just to expand on this a bit, if the custom race you're using does occupy slot 45, you can easily edit your collar to use another slot.  First, get into your \BodySlide\ShapeData\DD folder* and find the NIF for the collar you want to use. Open the NIF with NifSkope and find BSDismemberSkinInstance. Right click on it, then navigate Block → Convert → NiSkinInstance. Changing BSDismemberSkinInstance to NiSkinInstance will make the NIF not care what slot it's in. If you skip this step, your collar will be invisible in game. * I'm not on my gaming PC at the minute, so I'm not certain what the subfolder for Devious Devices is. It should be easy to figure out.   Next, consult this list and choose a slot that's unlikely to conflict with anything else you use. Then open Devious Devices in xEdit and find the record for the collar you want in the "Armor Addon" section. Right click on it, select "Copy as override into..." and choose a new ESP with the ESL flag, then give it a name like "Collar Slot Patch". Next, find the record for your collar in the "Armor" section, and again, copy it as an override, but this time, choose the ESP you just created. Now, in the left side of xEdit, scroll down to your new patch, and in each of the two records you created, change the slot to whatever you decided to use. Save it, close xEdit, and make sure your new ESP is enabled in your mod manager (it won't be by default in Vortex; not sure about MO2).   Your collar will now no longer conflict with your custom race. Note that this change is global; it will change the collar for everyone. So, for example, if you play a female character, but you have SoS installed for male NPCs, don't move the collar to slot 52 unless no male NPCs will ever be wearing it. Not also that you'll have to do this separately for every different collar type, so if you're using the Iron Collar now, but later you decide you want to switch to the Leather Collar, you'll have to repeat this process for the new collar. Hex Bolt Posted June 23, 2022 Author Posted June 23, 2022 Rather than editing collars, I'd suggest going to the source of the conflict and editing the race mod to make it compatible with Devious Devices by using a slot that DD doesn't use. Otherwise, if you have a mod that uses a quest collar, or if you find a new collar that you like, or a defeat/capture mod forces a new collar on the PC (choosing randomly from a list of all DD collars), you'll have to keep editing collars, with the side effect of making them work differently from the others.

metalhead_hr Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 (edited) On 6/22/2022 at 4:38 PM, HexBolt8 said: The collar must be properly equipped for the mod to recognize it. If it shows as equipped in inventory, that's not a reliable indication that it really is equipped. You can test it by wearing the collar (manipulating the lock is okay, if you wish) and entering "player.WornHasKeyword zad_DeviousCollar" in the console. If the result is not true, the collar is not properly equipped, which is a Devious Devices issue (this mod just checks for the keyword).  Another indication of a problem is if you don't actually see the collar on your character.  Collars use slot 45. Any mod that takes over that slot, such as race mods (to add a body part) or armor/accessory mods will block the collar from working.  Devious devices can get into a bugged state and not be recognized. The latest DD 5 beta has a fix to prevent this. If you're bugged, you can also fix the problem yourself, as described in the second item in this post. To avoid a recurrence, stay away from functions that unequip all items on your character, unless they are DD-aware. A common culprit is SkyUI's outfit hotkeys, which will bug devious devices if the unequip armor option is checked for that hotkey.  Your mod list shows both the lore patch and the struggles patch from Devious Lore, which specially says not to use both. That could be a problem. For that matter, if you're having trouble with a DD item and you're using any patch that modifies DD (like the Lore patches), that's a suspect. After testing some of the DD collars in the LAL cell it looks like it is a DD issue that I am having since many of them are returning false for keyword. I have already disabled all of the Devious Lore plugins so I am not sure which plugin(s) are messing with DD items.  Edit: I also started this testing in a new game as an Imperial. I did the testing after saving and then loading while still in LAL cell and later in Riften again. None of those should explain Niluva. Nor should they explain the Full Random servants, travellers, etc. Relationship Rank would be 0 in both cases. Are there any affirmative conditions, or are they all negative?

I am redoing my voices, and i wanted to reuse a bunch that i already manually tweaked for version 2.0.38, but i cannot find matching dialogue topic infos for 119 audio files. It could also be simply because i have the old audio files saved using the voice text line as a filename, instead of the corresponding response formID, so maybe there were some subtle changes throwing off my string comparison function when looking up the texts. Â Long story short, it looks like those 119 voice lines got dropped or changed, but that sounds like an awful lot - is that possible? Edited June 26, 2022 by Roggvir

Â Something like: - Master: "Since you enjoy being obedient so much, I have something that will make you twice as happy" - Lola: "Something that will make me twice as happy?" - Master: "Yes. From now on, you will not only obey me, but your fellow slave as well, isn't that great? Twice the submission" 3

Â I was thinking more in the lines of "I was told to do it, but I don't want to, so you do it" or the playmate just feeling it, so the master still gives orders, but at times, the playmate drops one or two order. Â But I guess I'll just randomly swap the roles at times and that'll do. Thanks for the reply.
