Is it normal, not being able to move while waiting in the cage after Simple Slavery ++ triggers? If Defeat takes me there as an outcome for example, I remain in the defeated pose. I can talk to the handler NPC normally since he's close enough, which can then get me to the auction chained up and all, but I'd like to make sure that's how things are supposed to be. At least as far as Defeat into SS++ goes.

 

One more thing, and this might be just me not reading throughout the whole description admittedly- Throughout testing SS++ with SD+ the only outcome after the auction concludes, seems to be to randomly spawn at any location and get a message that my owner wants to go for a walk. Then they will immediately start a scene with me, then go for that walk. Is that normal? And to expand on that, once or twice me and my owner spawned at a hostile location and things got really weird, doesn't SS++ exclude hostile locations? It breaks the whole thing, being attacked by NPCs there.

You should be able to move around in the cell once you've been sent there. The walking thing is just part of SD+ - the master is supposed to take you somewhere because it would be boring to be just stuck in one place. I did stick a couple of the Masters in places where it turns out they got attacked. I don't remember the logic behind that. Except maybe I tried to set the factions so that they wouldn't be attacked and then never fixed it? I'm not sure.

That's interesting, because I'm always stuck in one of Defeat's defeated idles- Which happens only when I'm TPed into the cell. So the transition from Defeat into SS++ clearly is problematic on my end at least. Any suggestions? Should I try to convert Bane's version of Defeat using CAO? The one I'm currently using seems to also have some issues with guards too, perhaps Bane's is worth a try.

Lastly, it would be greatly appreciated if you excluded hostile locations. It really isn't working out I think, IMHO.

It happens sometimes in my games, but other times it doesn't.  It's an issue with Defeat.  In SS++, I moved the starting point in the slave pen so that at least the slave master is in reach, so the player can still start a conversation to initiate the auction.  Defeat's animation gets cleared during the auction set-up, so at least it's only be a brief problem.

Yes, that would be SD+ (or possibly a third mod).  Simple Slavery is already done with you at that point.

Yes, that would be SD+ (or possibly a third mod).  Simple Slavery is already done with you at that point.

Step further: yes, that is SD+ but in my experience, there is not sex right after the owner starts the walk. it's always, "c'mon, we're walking," and then he starts walking.  Although it has been a few versions since i played, but I don't thing that has changed.

No, not for behavior.  If there's dialog, you could write down the exact words and then try to find which mod that comes from.

That's great, though I found out that LRG's SD+/Defeat bridge is only compatible with regular Defeat for SE, the one I linked to. I considered switching to Naked Defeat which has a built in bridge to SD+ but the latter's latest version broke that. Sigh... >.<

Dare I suggest Death Alternative? I don't understand why people are so against it - it has always worked great for me. Instant bridge between all these mods. As long as your version of defeat isn't one where DA compatibility was removed.

On a serious note, I've been using DA for a very long time and at one point I got fed up with the CTDs, spawning in all kinds of wrong places(Falling from the sky, below ground, ETC), stuck animations, stuck states and a lot more. Built in support or individual bridges take time and effort- And newer versions break them... Sure... But DA is not the solution. Even the newer version for SE isn't working properly.

 

Bridges it is, until someone manages to create a more permanent, unified solution... That works without breaking more than it builds.

This problem is often due to a missing or outdated Fuz Ro D-oh.

I have the SE version, reqs are installed. Same thing happens when I enter it to console; empty loading screen for a sec and CTD.

Okay, so it's the cell itself.  The slave market does have several NPCs, but no more than in the center of Riften, nothing that should crash a game.  There's nothing special going on inside, just NPCs with simple AI packages to stand here or sit there.  Unfortunately, I have no  idea what the problem could be.

The .NET Script Framework saves a crash log when you encounter a CTD. That is really the only way to troubleshoot a CTD.

 

After you get a crash log from the .NET Script Framework, you can post it here in a spoiler tag.

this, along with this ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10546 ) are considered essentials, especially for troubleshooting and a bit more stability in things. I can't say enough great things to support these 2 mods.

Being released like that is the default outcome if no enslavement mods are installed, or if no enslavement mods are toggled on in the MCM.  Which enslavements mods did you toggle on?

Fantastic upgrade.  

The biggest gap in SS++ is the lack of "simple" outcomes for vast replayability

Slave for farmer x who puts you to work + benefits.  Slave for miner who uses you to carry + benefits.  Slave for hunter/bandit who uses you as bait (start at campfire, place to attract beasts/patrol/bandits).  Slave for tavern owner (serve drinks and to please a particularly difficult patron).  Slave for Jarl (eyecandy for use by a difficult visitor).   Slave for shop owner (sell items to a difficult regular customer the hard way).   

 

Simple purchase process ("sold to the xyz as a tavern wench") + modules

Each module is a short iteration (potentially 1-3x work/sex/punish/reward/feed with time-lapse between days and then a chance for escape via pity, loss of chains, missing owner, buyout, etc.)

Uhmm, yes, but... Simple Slavery sends you to existing mods. Someone would need to write those from your ideas.
