not only this but, at least I have a mod for Defeat works fine, and on monsters that adds this mod. but on rare why the Smoglin " 43 " green color of why the not works at all, and onion, too, not works on this monster.

I think he's wondering why he can't do it with what I assume is a green smoglin more likely a poison smoglin and the onion monster is prolly a bulflop or mandraflora despite the mod working. I dunno what the 43 is for though....

Smoglin has the number 43 in the starbounder wiki's monster list, maybe they meant that?

Uh.... Poison Smoglin should be working unless something new broke. Wouldn't be surprised but i'm currently bashing some new mods, as part of a small team, and won't be able to jiggle (Or fix) this one just yet.  As for Mandraflora and Bulbops, they aren't supported yet. Honestly no clue how to approach Mandraflora, it's BLOODY MASSIVE and has a very hard-to-match body shape.

simply he not reacts at all, that boll, that kunai, as booth his there in the list monsters with which can be interact. With other monsters, everything is normal.

Can't you just use tentacles for it? Have the main body be static and use tentacles coming from it's head (the only par that it could make sense)?

That falls under the main complaint people have with monster porn! (Believe it or not, it's something i've been commended on before), that is, the "tentacle dick" thing is the lazy way out, as it has no characteristics from the monster in question most of the time. Basically, picture Bulbasaur from Pokémon. It's moves are tentacle-based because the pokémon itself has barely any joints, or particularly usable limbs, and the "lore" behind the seed on it's back is loosely used if at all. I'm looking to make it seem more like these creatures could/would breed in normal scenarios, without "hentai magic" to turn everything into tentacles.

But alas, as much as i said all of that, some of the monsters really are impossible to work with otherwise.

Well what else can you do? You're pretty much limited here by not only by the engine but by creature design as well, the best you can do is similarly colored monster parts. Not to mention the spritework. They can complain all they want but they're not doing the work so they can shut up.

 

That and monster sex has very little variation anyways. It's either tentacles, large dicks, unsually  shaped gruesome dicks or multiple dicks. With the latter 3 being very much the same with at times all of them at once with a single monster. That and monster sex is all about the brutal rough sex and all that comes with it anyways.

 

Besides as I've said; limited by design and looking at the Flora you are really limited in choice here. It's a large bulb monster with 4 stubby legs and two large leaves. You can with tentacles or a large dick that awkwardly comes from below. Or if you can, have the thing open a large gruesome mouth and use it's tounge... though that's still very tentacle like.

 

And if the Mandaflora is already a problem look at some of the other monsters. I mean the Miasmop is a round creature with weird holes for hair, dimples and a mouth. What miledge can you get for that? Then there's the Wisper, Pulpin and Hypnare. Both have weird bodies that you can't wrap your head on about on how to rule 34 those things.

Feel like you maybe projecting a little bit too much there. Not sure you've seen the animations for some of the monsters, but they're silly, like, outright dumb. Like the Snaunt's face. I'm not doing "All horror dicks", neither "all brutal rough sex". Never have been.

Your point started off pretty good, but then lost traction when you started mentioning the other monsters. Not sure you've seen some of the other monsters i've worked on. They feature some complex bodies, and at times, it's indeed hard to work with, but that's part of the fun and challenge. It's a take on the monster's coitus that isn't just "Big angry creature <R-word> humanoids". Miasmop being a ball isn't a problem. Gleaps and Nutmidgelings were already done, and they are just literal orbs, bean-bag chairs that hop along. Pulpin is a octopus-jellyfish hybrid, great and easy to wrap my head around for animations, Hypnare i honestly hate to look at because of how soulless it looks but otherwise also easy to work with.

I want to throw in my hat into the ring here with a possible idea for the Mandraflora that I just came up with (Though, issues might arise with anyone that isn't a 2-some), is instead of it doing the fuckin', it uses more Bulbops? That's the only idea I have.

 

I also want to say that I made some alternate variants to the monsters already supported which I was surprised wasn't in yet. I'll be happy to send over the file, though I do want to ask if I just literally send over the folder of both actor artworks?

 

Immediate edit: The ones I've done is the poison Nutmidgeling, poison King Nutmidgeling, Poison Paratail, Electric Snaunt, and Cultist Scandroid.

I'll gladly take contributions, i've already made another monster myself, though it wasn't on the list. I'm usually only working on the uniques when i'm done and satisfied with the results of a support though. Nutmidge's "new shell" makes it more annoying to work around, while the Scandroid's support wasn't finished when released.

And hey, the Mandraflora idea isn't bad, but kinda defeats the purpose of one-on-one monster supports. I wouldn't be against it as a unique threesome animation exclusive to that monster, but guaranteeing that it will work as intended is beyond me lol

monsters.rar There we go! Took me way too long trying to pack it as it didn't want folders, only to realised I can just archive it. Ignore the "poisonnutmidge" I was going to work on it but ultimately didn't. I hope these are fine enough, I tried to make them work for me.

Hey there, I wanted to chime in with the problem that I also have the same issue that monsters become invincible after taking like 1/2 hits. (with Terratophilia defeat)

 

I've tested it with several mods uninstalled but the same issue still persists.

I've also tested with an older version of Sexbound and defeat (sexbound 3.5.2 and terratophilia defeat 0.16, and not sure which defeat version since it doesn't show a number) with the exact same other mods but that seems to work fine but whenever I use the most recent files sexbound/defeat/terratophilia defeat that invincibility issue is there.

Looks to me like there's an incompatibility issue created with the Defeat files that is caused by an update.

 

Skimming through the log files I see that I have the same message as another user's log posted before in this thread with this message "[14:30:58.804] [Error] Exception while invoking lua function 'applyDamageRequest'. Normal terratophilia works fine after shooting them with aphrodite's bow, but it's just the Defeat function of the effected monsters by terratophilia's defeat that is having problems.

Not sure if this info helps a bit more, just wanted to mention that there are more people with this issue.

 

On a side note, thanks for this mod, makes wandering on planets a lot more fun.

As much as i appreciate the extensive and detailed report, it is sadly a known issue, and with how experimental and unstable Defeat is, this kind of thing should be expected. This issue was raised by an update in Defeat itself, nothing changed in TeratoDefeat, in fact it doesn't have even do anything without Defeat in the first place, so ?‍♂️

Though, for now, if it helps, i use version 2.2.1 of Defeat, and don't have these issues.

Ah, my bad. I don't know if this is the solution, but here: This is what i could find in my files. Mine is probably called 2.2.1 due to some changes to the scripts, but i don't think any of them should be solving this problem.
 

If folks would like to tell me if that does it for them, i'd appreciate the feedback. Maybe a good example on how to solve whatever is the issue within Defeat 2.5.

Well, i attached my version, in pak format. I don't know all the changes myself, it's been a solid few months since i last messed with it, but it's based off of v2.2.0, and it also has system in place to not convert 100% of defeated monsters. They have a chance to be defeated instead, around 35% i think? So yeah, if you "kill" them, they make the heart effect and the sound of transforming into a node and poof, that's "normal".

Yep, everything working fine with that one, thank you very much. And also, i do think that's it's better to not convert 100% of every defeated monster

Awesome, nice to have a game-friendly working version of defeat again! ...Though now I forgot how it was I tweaked it to personal preferences. I remember there was a way to make it so only the player was downable, not monsters or NPCs. I think there was a way to set a percent chance to down a NPC, but I can't be sure, it's been a busy while.
