I'm gonna wind up being the bad egg here but I'm having a similar trouble with enemies being invincible after a few hits, except mine also seem to be immune to Aphrodite's Bow too. Human NPCs seem fine though. I've tried using Red3Dred's 2.2.1 Defeat and it sadly didn't actually help matters for me. Log included incase anything obviously glaring comes up.

Well, uh...

[Error] Exception caught loading asset: /sexbound.config, (AssetException) Could not read JSON asset /sexbound.config

Caused by: (JsonParsingException) Error parsing json: bad object, should be '}' or ',' at 97:80

It's simple, Config died, every single other entity cascades into exploding bugs.

Thanks for pointing it out, I found the one lousy comma I must've deleted accidentally.

Sadly, indeed; that is a issue with Defeat itself; Where monsters that aren't supported will still try to defeat NPC's and even other monsters, only to cause them to have internal errors and become invincible. It is even more notable in the Erchius Mining Facility mission, where the NPC's get defeated by Moontants, which aren't supported, and either become invincible themselves (NPC's), or make them sometimes invincible (Monster). It is really frustrating, i have to say.

So, since there's no download-instructions i'll just ask: If i want to have compatibility with defeat, do i download the 017-defeat file only, or 017-defeat plus 018?

You only download one version of the mod and the defeat support, 017 exists due to previous issues with Defeat including the poptop support, which shouldn't be a issue anymore, so it's recommended to use 018.

Haven't seen anything on this, so figured I'd post to be sure. Downloaded the 2.2.1 version of Defeat you gave above, enemies no longer become invincible, great. Now, however, they pop and die nearly immediately after the ding and becoming a node. Have you seen anything like this before? It's a fresh install of SB and SxB, and I haven't touched any configs besides turning futa on. Nothing in the logs, either. Using SxB 4.3.0 Beta, Terato 18, TeratoDefeat 17, and Defeat 2.2.1, if that means anything.

[...] but it's based off of v2.2.0, and it also has system in place to not convert 100% of defeated monsters. They have a chance to be defeated instead, around 35% i think? So yeah,  if you "kill" them, they make the heart effect and the sound of transforming into a node and poof, that's "normal" . [...]

It's a chance thing, sadly. I tried to make it visibly not call anything, no ding, no heart, etc, but i failed at that. NPC's defeating monsters for instance will still try to trash-talk too, and monsters defeating NPC's sometimes will also speak, something i hoped to avoid.

If you find any other issues i'm all ears, Loc's not around much for this kind of thing, and Defeat is a finicky mod to work around, if i can help with it i'll at least try.

Hi there. First of all, great work with Your mods so far :D I would like to report an issue that was probably known, too. But from the latest posts I would've assumed it was fixed - while for me it was not. The problem is with Teratophilia Defeat. The supported monsters are invincible and when I use Aphrodite's Bow on them, there are two behaviours:

1. It doesn't do anything at all.

2. It does spawn the enemy as a node as intended, but it leaves the original intact instead of replace it.

As I said above, those monsters will take the first hit but further hits are just ignored, and some monters that would die from the first hit will drop to 0 hp but still will remain undefeated instead.

Here's my log file: starbound.log

There are some errors for recipes etc but just ignore them as they are not connected to the cause (and I'm working on them now).

I use:

Sexbound 4.4.0

Sexbound Defeat 2.4.0

Teratophilia 0.18

Teratophilia Defeat 0.17 (or at least I tried to :D)

Also, are You going to include CommanderAli's actors in the next update by any chance?

Cheers!

Sadly, this problem is caused by Defeat itself, and nothing i changed. Instead, i have provided my own Defeat a few posts ago, which somehow seems to work and not cause this issue?
I'll be honest, i compared the code for 3 different Defeat versions, and mine has the most code, and works. I don't get it.

Other than that, yeah Ali's contribution will indeed be added if i wrap up working on the next update, i've been working really hard on something else that i can't really be open about... Let's just say all the supports will take more work.

You mean the one with 2.2.1 version? Wouldn't that be too old for other frameworks tho? I can always just wait for another update, that's not a problem. And don't worry about taking Your time with other things - there's nothing worse than a hasty work :D

Yeah, the defeat version posted earlier is 2.2.1, it shouldn't work, in theory it'd cause problems, but i haven't seen any new problems other the average defeat jank.

And thank you, the work is far from hasteful as i've spent over three months on this, but alas.

Can they give a birth? If yes, how to make them give a birth?

Yes, but only if they stay loaded for the whole length of the pregnancy, or at least if the game thinks so;

To make monsters give birth, either the area with them needs to be loaded (Since natural monster spawns despawn if you go away) or you must capture them and put them in a pod holder, one of those things where you put the pod in and the monster roams free. Those never count as despawning so their pregnancies remain going/counting even if you teleport away and generally unload that area.

Pets that are actively following you and wild monsters that aren't tied to a structure (Thus persistent) don't usually stick around long enough to finish a pregnancy.

Oh I've just had a thought. Would monsters in the pod holders get effected by the Statue of Dibella? If so, poptop army!

Monsters were affected by the arousal effects once a long time ago, as a proof of concept, but the code doesn't support checking up if the actors should be allowed in certain positions, and the monsters had problems "leaving a bed" so to speak, i presume Loc canned the idea for now. If they do bring it up again, i'm sure that would work, but for now it does not.

How exactly do you start having sex with monstergirls? I'm trying with Bigsis but I can't. Do I need to capture them? Even if I defeat them they just die. Even after I hit the monstergirls with the bow, nothing happens.

Wrong mod.

Oh, I wanted to ask about something (Though it might be a great undertaking). Would bosses ever be considered nodeable? If not I completely understand considering the size n' shit that you have to deal with (With exception to Asra).
