Just one question, since I'm thinking to use the "All Female" Trait for the first time: So basically I buy a disadvantage (-10% Growth Speed) without any points (+/- 0), which may become an advantage later on, if I get male pops to become part of my empire? Is that why I don't get any points for taking the disadvantage?

Is that why I don't get any points for taking the disadvantage? It's like that mainly for the flavor. The "advantage-for-not-getting-an-advantage" is that zero-point traits don't cost *anything*. They don't cost trait points to pick up, because it's a cost of zero, and they also don't cost a trait *pick*. With the costs of many of the traits in the mod, it's actually beneficial that it's not a -1 because then it'd eat a trait pick and you'd have one fewer option available (which could otherwise be used for e.g. a -2 trait) Considering the scads of +pop growth available here, it's really a non issue.

In the previous patch, when I set all other races to Population Control, I got spammed almost non-stop, but in this version I haven't seen it trigger even once. Tried tinkering with the Disable setting, no change.

While intra-empire trade makes little sense for a hive species it would be useful for it to have an impact on trade with other empires at least.

I was wondering if it is possible to delete a couple of pictures on my end, or to swap some out with others? I see all the DDS files, just not sure if the mod is going to expect pic 101, for example, and then crash if it isn't there. I'm willing to test it out, but perhaps if this is known can save me some potential issues. thanks. personalami must get more patrons after this mod.

Well looking at the events themselves it's less about same species reproduction and more about turning the pops that are being purged into disposable "baby ovens". You get your own pops in exchange for the pops being purged. So it actually makes more sense that this triggers from the purge rather than pop controls. Since pop controls stabilize the amount of those pops it never really made sense for it to be triggered by pop controls and wind up losing the pops from the species you are trying to keep at a certain level....

Wrong mod, that's from the mod SSX, And no it's not only flavour, the species population will not fall below a certain percentage of the planet's total population, If the population percentage is or gets to low it triggers an event, but if it's your primary species that has the trait you may never see the event.

Any ideas? Have you tried manually creating the mod via the mod tools in the launcher? Also did you try deleting or moving the .zip?

I had an outdated/incompatible mod in my folder that would make the launcher hang up and only load mods up until that one. After deleting the old stuff LV showed back up in my mods and worked fine. The new launcher is atrocious.

darkestdragon Posted January 23, 2020 Posted January 23, 2020 the zoo one is very frequent when you build the alien zoo on a planet, tentacles on is frequent till you do one of the option or remove the tile blocker i'm unsure. slime always happen near the begin of each of my play through and grave the sex toy scientist also come up as well

Seems like some of the traits (not the 0 ones) don't translate from the species start to the main game. Ex: Exhibitionism 2. Can the AI utilize this? Seems like things could get broken pretty quick.

bobwoodword Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 Oh and just FYI for those who struggle make sure you aren't putting mods in the steam file and make your you take out the image and the content files from the single file when you unpack them. If you just unpack them they will not show up. What you should get is a file with two files in it after you extract, you need to take both of those out and delete the file they were in for it to show up.
