loniceraa Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Maybe tweaks to the behavior file are necessary?

I think there must be some other way to play the animation, so it doesn't cause this problem. But I don't understand why idling breaks everything out of a combat state. I need to look at it more to understand if this is happening in LE (I didn't notice it), or what other ways there might be to trigger the animation.

I meant the behavior file for the stumble/trip/fall animations, in "path\meshes\actors\character\behaviors\FNIS_SexLabDisparity_Behavior.hkx". Maybe there's a flag in there that marks the character as uninteractable while they play.

Documentation of FNIS is a little uneven, so perhaps it's possible, but I'm not sure if this is the same in LE as SSE yet. That seems an important detail. I didn't notice anything like this problem in LE, but now I'm questioning my memory.

Strange as I've noticed the opposite, I can't think of many if any animations played by mods that don't stop NPCs from initiating attacks against the player while the player is in them. Aside from attacking (whipping or similar) in scenes as part of the scene, and those are often sketchy in my experience.

That's what I expected. I anticipated the problem would be that you'd remain suck waiting for the get-up animation to end, even though the game has kept combat going, hit the PC, forced the PC to play a stagger, and then the stagger is over but you still can't move because your controls won't unlock until the get-up timer runs down. Hence the idea of adding an on-hit event to prematurely terminate the idle-timer if you are hit during combat while playing a fall or get-up animation.

If anyone knows more about this, please explain! While working on something else, I came across this line on the CK wiki for DisablePlayerControls: "Disabling movement also disables the UI (at least partially), and other actors can't attack a player with a disabled movement." So I wonder if, after starting the animation, throwing EnablePlayerControls(True, False, False, ..., False) and Player.modAV("Paralysis", 1) would work.

I don't recall seeing those notes before. They solve some long-standing issues people have had with whipping events, where the PC would get pushed around unless you contrived ways to stick them down. It seems this has been solved. But who knew? I'm not 100% sure it really all works in LE as described on that page, but will test when I look at a fix.

On an minimal profile they dont conflict...

Based on pure "random chance" without applying any actual knowledge about the situation, the most likely cause of any on-load CTD is a corrupt NIF. Followed by bad skeleton overwrites. Is there some mysterious realm where people are encountering corrupt DLLs? From 7z files, which have a hash that would require an improbable hash collision for corruption to be undetected? The odds of a problem with the DLL are slim to none. ... other than with one that somebody ninja recompiled for SSE. I've never had an issue reported with it, and I've used it myself for quite some time now. Over a thousand hours anyway.

Corsayr Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 Hey speaking of Disparity the maker of Just Cast it is going to add a global for buffing and debuffing spell rebound chances. Once that is done, how hard would it be to get that added as a buff/debuff option in disparity?

Garkin Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 I have question about plugin file (FWB_SexLabDisparity.esp). I found out that 2 quests have invalid formIDs and now I wonder if it is intentional hack or some kind of error. Can you please confirm that this hack/error is intended and it won't cause crashes or corrupted saves?

In what way are they "invalid" ? This sounds pretty vague and unverified at this point. I can't tell you anything useful because it's not clear what you're talking about. AFAIR, SLD doesn't use any injected IDs. And, in a great many hours played, it has not caused save corruption or crashes for me - or a great many others. But I have no idea what you're trying to describe here. More detail please.

I'm talking about quests _fbw_mcm (0x0000502C) and _fwb_modifiers (0x0000502D). First two numbers in formID is load order of plugin where item is defined. However currently both quests missing this part (they have 0x00 there) so it would seem that they are defined in first loaded plugin/master - Skyrim.esm. So that why I'm asking if it is intentional or if it can cause errors as it is probably trying to load something non-existent from Skyrim.esm. EDIT: I have looked into injecting formIDs (which was something I didn't know about). It seems to be way how more independent plugins can refer the same object and it is safe as long as no other plugin tries using the same formID for different object. Sorry for my original question, but I saw something unusual and I wanted to be sure that it won't break anything.

Those injected IDs are harmless in my game and don't clash with any vanilla ID. They could - potentially - clash with some other mod's injection. I'd completely forgotten about them though. If they clash with an injection from some other mod you use, you should be able to renumber them, or move them into the SLD ESP without anything breaking. I can't do that because it would screw up any future updates of SLD into a running game, which I have always tried to support.
Code Serpent Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Hey Lupine, I've been looking at this mod for a while, and I'm planning on using it in my next playthrough. Though, I think there is a small gap in it's functionality; could you add legs and arms/torso morphs to the list of properties the mods detects?
