So, I just updated from 2.3.2 to version 2.8 with an existing save, placed RJW near the bottom of my load order, and while everything seems to work (I think), for some reason I can't right click to prioritize interactions between pawns. I do have direct control enabled in the mod settings, and I'm ordering a pawn set as the player 'hero', but the interaction menu doesn't appear. Is it just because the new version borks old saves, of is it something I did wrong, or just a bug?

Start a new game, there were multiple incompatible versions between 2.3.2 and 2.8.0

Would it be possible to have some way of assigning breeding groups, or maybe this is already implemented somehow?

 

It'd be cool if we could assign groups within which species can interbreed freely eg equine, feline etc.

 

I don't want my unicorns to impregnate my cats, but I'd also like my maine coon to be able to breed with a standard sort hair.

I've been playing around with the settings on this mod and found that casual hookups/prostitution between colonists is pretty much broken. They rape each other all the time, but no casual sex. Ever. Not once in a dozen hours of game time.

 

I'm running 2.8.0

 

I'm 2 hours into my most recent game, where I turned off all other mods. Despite all the sliders being to max/min (hookups to 100%) to encourage inter-colonist sex, the colonists refuse to sleep with each other.  I've been experimenting with different settings. The rape function seems to work fine, but casual sex just doesn't happen. There seems to be something blocking it.

 

I also have several pawns set to "hookin", and they will approach strangers (trading parties, etc), but they are always rejected. They never sleep with each other. Ever.

 

I started playing around with the developer mode, adding traits and hediffs hoping to trigger something, but no success. All my colonists are beautiful, hyper-sexual, and masturbation is turned off, but they won't touch each other except to rape.

 

I have Rimjobworld installed, and if I disable rape, I ironically end up with a colony that is more platonic than vanilla.

 

I started one pawn in "hero" mode just to see if anything was broken mechanically, and noticed I could not command them to have sex with another pawn unless the target pawn was already in bed sleeping, and the hero pawn was assigned "basic". Then (and only then) did I witness any of my pawns having sex that wasn't rape.

 

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong (or if the mod is just broken; other folks seem to have the same complain), but I'm guessing something is not as it should be with the hookup mechanic.\

 

Edit: One other thing I noticed. I'm pretty sure there is something blocking the completion of the "hookup" attempt. I see the pawn try to hook up, and there is a little heart emote followed by an exclamation mark emote, which indicates rejection. But the logs never actually shows this interaction, from what I can find. This may be why in all the hours of playing, I've never seen a successful attempt. Is anyone else noticing this?

 

Edit: Further edit. I've turned on the casual sex debugging in options, and discovered regular attempts to find a suitable partner. In almost all cases, it fails with "fuckability too low(0)". Since in the options, the minimum "fuckability" is 10%, I assume this is why it never happens.

 

What is "fuckability" and what influences it? How do I determine what each pawns "fuckability" is?

well... thats easy to fix, set hook up % per hour to 0, someone fucked up with <> comparison xD

 

fuckability is a score based on gender, sexuality, age, fetishes

 pawn->social->debug->rjw would fuck

I'm not sure I understand.

 

Are you saying the hook-up per hour is backwards? 0% makes for more frequent hookups?

So, just like countless others mentioned already, whoring is completely broken here. It was so back when i was running 2.0.X, and it's still now that i upgraded to 2.8.0.

 

Here's the scenario:

- Hookup chance is set to max

- Whore got vulnerability and attractiveness up the wazoo

- Got her own room, wealthy and luxurious, double-whorebed

- Whore is bisexual and nymphomanic, visitor targets are bi too or compatible with her

- Tried both, whore fully dressed or naked

- Happens even when whore and client are sex-starved

- Rational Romance is installed - RJW is set to not import seedings from it

 

The result:

- Constant hookup attempts, yet every single one fails. It must've been over 50 by now, and the number of successes is ZERO.

 

Question:

- I've red above that the hookups-per-hour slider is supposedly reverse, and that one can't really distinguish hookup-attempts from RR and RJW. So, could it be that all those (failing) hookup attempts are just RR, and RJW simply does none at all because the slider is set to max?

Regarding casual hookups, see my posts above. Apparently there is a wrong operator in the program somewhere, and as a result, the hookup chance slider is backwards. 0% is max. Setting the slider to 0% fixed this for me. This appears to only effect casual hookup chances. I'm not sure it effects the hooking (whoring) mechanic.  I'm not sure if the toggle option "hooking" effects this in the game.

 

As for whoring (hooking): You are correct. It is totally broken. I've never been able to get it to work. Lots of propositions, but all are rejected. No reason I can determine in the logs. The only thing I've been able to determine is that whoring is considered a "basic" job. Whores won't proposition clients if they are not assigned to basic.

 

Much appreciation for Ed86 and all other contributors for there work on this, but I think there may be a language barrier here creating some confusion.

 

In English, "hookup" is a term used to denote a casual sex encounter.

 

eg. "Bob and Jen hooked up at the party".

 

This is not to be confused with "hooking" or "hooker", which references the whoring profession.

 

eg "Mary is a whore who makes her money hooking. Mary is a hooker"

 

I mention this, because the mod seems to be using these terms interchangeably.

 

I think the mod needs to draw a distinction here as it seems to be creating some confusion between two mechanics. I would just use the "whoring" term for paid sex, and the "hookup" term for casual sex, to prevent confusion.

"Normal" (non-whoring) hookups work here. The "comfort slave"-option too - at least within colonists - don't know about visitors. It's only whoring where i get constant attempts, yet every one fails (as mentioned by you in the quote below). I've also checked the debuginfo mentioned in an earlier post.... "would fuck" for whoring is at around 0.4 for most targets - which is about the same as for normal (non-whoring) hookups in the debuginfo. This is with the two requirement-sliders set rather low (10% min attractiveness (cant go lower) and min relation 0).

Yep. The Basic-category isn't really surprising, since that's where all the other RJW-stuff is too. Yet as you said, getting approaches isn't the problem - those happen all the time here. It's just they're all rejected, according to the log ("X tried to hookup with Y, Y didn't agree to the hookup"). It's not a new bug either, since as mentioned in my post, this happened way back in 2.0.X too. So, looks to me like it's been disfunctional (or incompatible with RR?) for quite a while.
