I mean, that's clearly not going to happen. Enough people have played enough of the game at this point that, at least gameplay-wise, we know we're getting something extraordinary, and it's going to sell like hotcakes... Plus CDPR have a lot more good will banked than EA, Blizzard or even Bethesda at this point, so a lot of people will cut them a lot of slack even if there are launch issues.

And on the plus side we know the game is going to have full nudity, gender fluidity, some eroticism (strippers and prostitutes) and first-person narrative sex scenes. So it's basically going to be more sexual than any other big-budget game in history...

BUT if you needed any further proof that CDPR will never release tools that allow for significant animation and sex modding, just look at how many Friends of CDPR are getting their real-life likenesses in the game... Keanu, obviously, but Grimes, Jesse Cox, now Alanah Pearce... And I don't doubt there will be others still to reveal as the hypetrain gathers steam.

The point is, CDPR aren't about to let their game be turned into a sex simulator full of their real-life friends.

Ā

We all just have to accept it... I... Have to accept that I'll never be able to mod in some kinky Bear-on-Bear action with my boy Jesse... The universe is uncaring and unjust.

By your logic - Keanu doesĀ not deserve to be in the game, in any form, and should've stayed in movies. Though, He practically been in manyĀ cyberpunk sci-fi genre and influenced a lot of people. ?
IĀ disagree with that type of logic. If people has a big charmĀ in them and somehow move creative people to make incredible things, they deserve the praise in any form. Let people enjoy or stayĀ neutral to characters that are shown, be it based on realĀ orĀ fictional person. Nothing to loose, maybe something to acquire.Ā Ā Ā Ā

Problem with that is now Johnny Silverhand is not him, it is just Keanu Reeves, if Johnny Silverhand is well written character he would be great either way, but if he turn out to be badly written, than Keanu Reeves not going to save his character.

Also how much more money they spend to get famose acctors for characters, when that money would be better use for other stuff in game. Ā

The most richest game company of Europe ( "backed by its Government" )Ā can afford famous actors and Keanu said himself, that he was a fan of the CP77 game, so he contributed very hard work for his character.Ā IDK about other guest people in the gameĀ as I never heard of them before.Ā It willĀ be interesting to seeĀ their performances.
"Other stuffĀ in game " we will seeĀ in 2021 with the next-gen patches,Ā DLC andĀ multiplayer. Its just the beginning of it all, be patient.

Most richest, but not with infinity money, also Government probably wanted money back so it is not like they going to be backed all the time, also he can say he didn't charge them that much, but he probably didn't work free since his agent probably make sure he don't work for free or for some small cash.

Look OF COURSE the game is going to buggy at launch.Ā  It almost has to be. What matters is how fast they fix said bugs. Are they going to be like BW was with MEA and let them sit for months? That is partly what killed MEA (among many other things). And I hope they won't.Ā  We'll see.Ā

If it's a good game, modding won't really be needed. But yeah, I'd like a mod kit. To add things. But I am not holding my breath.

My biggest issue with CD Project over the years has been their treatment of gay chars in their games. BUT W3 went a long way into fixing that. I didn't see any weak maniac gay murders in that game like IĀ did in W2. And I would be shocked if this was even an issue in Cyberpunk 2077.Ā

About Cyperpunk.. Com'om they are telling me that:Ā

  • OS:Ā Windows 10
  • Processor:Ā Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
  • Memory:Ā 12 GB RAM
  • Graphics:Ā NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon R9 Fury
  • DirectX:Ā Version 12
  • Storage:Ā 70 GB available space

are the recommended specs to play this game at high or better graphics? PLEASE......

New gameplay is quite ugly and buggy. Fanboys claim 'old build' but I don't buy it.

Ā

Isn't that the same "simulation"gameplay shown before? But with the starting scene?

When is the next Night city live now?

No one knows when EP4 is coming. This was just a foreign EP. There was one for Russia as well. Foreigners got exclusive scenes we English folk didn't get.

I believe Polygon or Kotaku had a deleted article where they stated that Episode 4 might be released in mid October.

Not to be cynical...but I remembered after seeing the new spider-man game get downgraded graphically. And many big companies showcase amazing graphics, but they almost always downgrade at release

Don't be surprised if Cyberpunk 2077 looks worse at release.Ā

Witcher 3 looked amazing in their E3 trailer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOkP7C0WrkU

Game looked nothing like that at release.

Now, I don't care about graphics. But companies should show what the game REALLY looks like. Not trick people into a better looking game. They can showcase ascii graphics, and if that was how the game looked, that be fine. I'd play it since I do like dwarf fortress, Aurora 4x (even harder than dwarf fortress) and Rimworld. But it always feels like a bait and switch when they falsely show better graphics than what it will be.

the trailer literally look way worse from the actual game, next

People should really hop off the CDPR dick already. They've made one great game that boomed at the right time and now they're holding the flag for all "gamers".Ā  In reality it's called keeping good PR and capitalising off brand loyalty. People will learn this sooner or later when CP2077 multiplayer drops and it's full of microtransactions and cosmetics. I guess they really are "surprise mechanics". You never know who is going to use them.

And then what? Go hop on EA's dick?
Hop on Ubisofts dick?

Right now my ass is staying where it is -

There are certain dicks you should've hopped on e.g. Bitcoin. CDPR's dick however, is it not one of them, and neither is EA's or Ubisoft's.

Ah, that explains the bravado. A Bitcoin prophet.

I do not need to jump on that dick, i bought a some when they were at a few bucks each and sold 'em not too long ago.

Not to mention that my family owns 2 clubs in one of germany's biggest cities, so money isn't of the essence anyway.

Ā

CDPR did a good, maybe even an outstanding job for basically all they have done in their past.

I know a few people from warsaw, working for them, all of 'em are neat people to be around.

Will it be great? Most likely. Will it be bad? Most unlikely, yet not impossible. Time will tell.

Ā

Stop tryingĀ to shed a bad light on CP or "unhype" us because YOU don't believe in the game's success -

Dunno' where you came from but people don't like to see such behaviour here on LL..

If you want to talk about how bad it's going to be, log-in into your reddit-account and do that over there, please.

Let's make a clear distinction here.

Ā

Developers can be good people. I suspect many of them are. But developers aren't the companies they work for. The primary goal of a business is to make profit. The lead designers answer to their higher ups just as a senior programmer would answer to theirs. Creative freedom just doesn't exist in the current gaming climate, especially for AAA studios.Ā

Ā

Regardless of whether or not the developers are good people, the game can turn out awful based on a few decisions made by people who don't really care about the quality of the product itself. It's a business after all. You can sacrifice all your time making the game as great as it can be, but it only takes one decision from an executive to nullify all your efforts, leaving the product a husk designed to minimise risk, expenditureĀ and effort to maximise profit and prioritise aĀ consistent form of revenue attractive to investors.

Ā

With that being said, CDPR has a history of appealing to disgruntled "gamers" looking for refuge in an era of gaming where cosmetic microtransactions, online casino-esque loot boxes and multiplayer centric games rule the show.Ā  SoĀ it logically follows that their next big release will NOT have any of these features since the criticism has made itself clear right? WRONG.Ā

Ā

Cyberpunk 2077 is CONFIRMED to have several of these features. It has multiplayer which is a separate project entirely (why not dedicate your team to singleplayer instead since the game is a singleplayer RPG?) and microtransactions. There's a reason why people are worrying about this. Not many companies can pull off this business model without being exploitative. And let's be frank, if CDPR really did care about their fanbase, they wouldn't be making these decisions. The Witcher 3 has sold over 50 million copies since it's release in 2015. It's far from an indie game.Ā There was nothing wrong with The Witcher's traditional business model. It earned them much praise. So why change it unless they're going over to the dark side?Ā

Ā

Unless... *scratches head*Ā they were just doing it to gather hype and loyalty? Then they release a subpar or average game that sells like hotcakes, makes them millions and they still rely on crunch and overworked employees working overtime to make their next shitty venture, that somehow is even worse than the last game?

Ā

Sorry for the bravado but it has to be said. I understand that CD Projekt Red seem like a last glimmer of hope in the era of decline but they are indeed a false prophet. It reminds me of so many other companies in the past. Remember when Bethesda made the #SavePlayer1 trending? Then they dropped Fallout 76 not even a full year after. Fallout 76 was likely nearing it's final stages of development while Bethesda made that statement. It's hypocrisy at it's finest all in the name of good old Benjamin Franklin.

Ā

However, I won't apologise for criticising this game and being sceptical of it. As gaming fans we have the right to voice our opinions whether they're negative or positive. I understand that I might've been a bit belligerent but I wholeheartedly believe that it's the work of gaming YouTubers, online influencers, marketing executives, social media handlers and spokespeople that are psychologicallyĀ engineering this praise for CDPR in the gaming community. Anyone should be able to see that. I respect your right to your opinion, but I don't have to respect your opinion. The only people willing to defend a company to the death are people who don't know what gaming companies are capable of, or are just too naive to see that they're just defending a perpetual cycle of greed. And yes, the people who do not understand this are mostly children and clueless people. They listen to what their favorite YouTuber says rather than think for themselves.Ā

There is truth in your thoughts about this subject.Ā
Personally, I think CDPR made a good example of how to be a lead gaming company without BS ;Ā free DRMĀ , nice game content and quality work. But after the gaming "Idol" thing event,Ā they kind of caughtĀ a starĀ and started to unnecessary overhype their next IP ( CP2077 ). It went out to a "raised the bar"Ā ambitionĀ andĀ created the problem for them. Now they scared to drop their fame to the sewerĀ because of that. Big marketing appeal to existing inclusive gaymers and all helisexuals out there is both - to stay on feet and to maximize consumer numbers, thus creating CP2077 multiplayer project with mTrans in it.Ā

I know CP2077 will be epic as an RPG firstlyĀ and in a technical aspect,Ā I stay skeptical. Pretty sure many people will critique the gameĀ and cry a lot from variable standpoints, be it to gay or obsoleteĀ in visuals. Nowadays game companies dont have the balls to oppose consumers, its like drifting in aĀ stormy, justified,Ā weathered *Meta*ocean. Lets just hope the product will be badass enough to enjoy it without negative impulses.Ā

It is funny how they change some stuff in less than a year, like for example Techie who would use Flathead fully to just Crafting skills now ,since by CDPR words Techie is too similar like Netrunner, and people who blindly worship them like cult defend them.

Both class are different, you can have engineer who don't know how to hack stuff and you can have hacker who don't know how to fix machine, like CDPR didn't even care about Core rules on witch CP2077 is based on, since Techie and Netrunners are saperet class/roles,Ā but let's see if when MP come out if suddenly Techie not to be similar to Netrunner and get totally stand alone class and robots, and not be just crafting skill.Ā

And same thing will probably happen with multiple apartments, car customization.......

The same thing happened with deckers and riggers in the ShadowrunĀ games on Steam. I'm not defending CDPR but I will point out that RPGs have systems that can be awfully difficult to replicate in video game format. That said, I agree we should be concerned they'll do the same thing to other parts of the game. And if they don't differentiate things enough, that's going to be a legitimate reason to be outraged IMO.

Ā

I wish this game would justĀ get releasedĀ already and let the cards fall where they may! I'm sick of fanbois and haters alike arguing everywhere, I'm fed up with the speculation, and I'm especially ready to literallyĀ tear Jason Schreir's lips clean off of his face for trying to drum outrage yet again. I don't think it's going to be the next big thing in modding sinceĀ SkyrimĀ but neither do I expect it to be some massive flop. More likely it'll be a successful niche thing and people will move on to the next outrage du jour.

Barring unforeseen delays, it is set to release on the 16th of next month so one can rest assured that all speculation will shortly cease thereafter. The argumentation between factions may ram up considerably, however.
