Duoleb The Chosen Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 They expanded too much to being stable Dark one's retarded ideas to expand nexus to a shitload of games cost the stability of the servers and the mods itself along with NMM most of the FOMOD's are un-compatible with NMM, OMOD is worse(yeah i cant install HGEC's converted vanilla outfits for Oblivion without OBMM, and mod organizer sucks with the bain and wrye handling) Chivalry has already the workshop to handle with the Mods, Nexus isnt needed for this crap Darksouls has 100 to ZERO mods, isn't needed too Legend of Grimrock doesn't need NMM support, its ridiculous World of Tanks... DAFUQ, Darkone gave Lizbitch to World of tanks devs for a complete service including internal Creampie only for a crappy nexus support and some money?, also WoT doesn't need mods, the HD version is comming soon because of the Xbone version. Madden, BateMan and Fifa... DAFUQ2? these games has ZERO MODDING!

All I've seen were the HQ weapons for Fallout 3 and New Vegas by Millenia, ho is part of the staff. Millenia did most of his work (good stuff too, he's awesome) before he joined the staff. LHammonds did some stuff for Oblivion but most of it is based on other modders' works and his 'claim to fame' Silver Dragon Armory was basically stolen (ala BlackBlossom content leeching without proper credit) from another modder. For the most part, they do not mod, comment on mods, or otherwise contribute to that 'community'. Nexus is a personal sandbox for the meanest kids in the playground. Linspuppy, Mrymaad, Vagrant and Thandal being the worst of the lot. Anyone can spend about 30min just looking at their posts and a pattern will be evident. They are bullies with yellow text and nothing more. None of them could moderate their way out of a wet paper sack. And THEY KNOW IT. You forgot AlienSlof, probably the biggest drama queen on that site. Even ppl outside the community remember the ruckus about her Oblivion mods.

I made a formal request to have my nexus account closed this morning and sure enough it was. If anyone has an account there can you copy and past their response to my request. It was in the "account closure requests" should be about page 150 under the name Hypermouse1mil, i want a new desktop theme. Yeah, people there less than an hour and hitting the exit as fast as they hit the entrance. Some of them aren't bothering to post either. Imagine the number of people who register and simply walk off when they realize the site has crap service. At one time Nexus was great...not so much now though.

WTF!!? I was left utterly confused and in total disbelief at first so i thought well if i find out what offended them maybe i could appologize.Nope, they wouldnt even respond to me and the part of the forum that said what to do if you get banned from a part of their website basically sounded like they wanted me to grovel at their feet and beg for forgiveness......"Screw it I dont need to talk to them i just need to download mods for my game."

Cynical Misanthrope Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 When I first got into modding my games, Nexus were the first place that pretty much came on top on Goggle. It looked so awesome. One mouse-click and you had a mod that changed the experience completely with current game I played at the time. I was never really interested in the community at first. I just wanted my mods, and play my games. But then, couple of years ago, I were having these strange thoughts. I was actually considering to contribute to Nexus. I thought they did (the modders) an outstanding job. Even the most tiny of mods can totally change your experience. So, I wanted in a way to give something back, for all the joy they had given me. But then, the issues came. Site that went down on regular basis. Waiting for a page or an image to load took an eternity. (and my internetz is fast) The atmosphere was not warm among the members/staff either. Most staff members just told everyone to shut the fuck up. Not all of them ofc. I still saw a few that was polite and actually tried to help members with questions and issues. But they were soon gone. Nexus has turned into a capitalistic fascist site. I am so glad I never paid for that development. Now these days, I treat Nexus as I treat my local food store. I go there, grab my stuff and then pay for it. (in this case, pay = saying thank you to the modder) I never bother with discussions with anyone. Who knows, soon you might get banned for just saying "thank you" without an exclamation mark in it.

Yeah, I pretty much saw the same thing when I wanted to donate. I was like "but, what to the mod authors get out of this" It was the authors to the mods I wanted to support. Not the admins that told everyone to "shut up or get banned"

From day one Dark0ne has been a snotty 15 year old. 12 years later...and...well...we can all see for ourselves.

It's actually more depressing the other way around. I was a member of the Nexus since 2004 and about a year ago got banned for making a joke - would be sad if it wouldn't be so funny.
