IP ban for inappropriate user name?!

At one time Dark0ne banned either Latvia or Lithuania, I can't remember which one.  But YEAH,  he banned the IP an entire country from Nexus because of ONE PERSON.

ROFL!!

Maybe all the banning is Dork0ne's secret plan to deal with the Nexus bandwidth problems.facebook-chat-smiley-philosoraptor.png

Haha.

Yet they do that for a long time and changes don't show up.

He isn't banned. He just can't use the chatroom anymore. And that's probably a good thing because it's only inhabited by trolls, ne'erdowells, and whiners anyway.

there had been several the worse one came from Germany and forced people to reset their passwords. not sure about the others.

But they caught him very fast. The one from Germany was worse since it was not just DDos but also hacking. So they made it priority to catch him. and told everyone to reset their passwords to prevent further damage.

The reason why i got pissed is since i always use long complicated passwords. resetting such things are never funny. And i take these crimes seriously. because that is what it is a crime. plain and simple.

So some kiddo hacked a site with game mods and you want him to "freeze in cold behind bars" because you had to reset your password? Man, the nexus has really got into you, now you're as acrimonious as ppl who ran that place. Why so serious?

And the moral thing to do is to put one in prison, no matter what their crime is, because prisons are known for their high resocialization value and ease in terms of finding a good job and becoming a lawful member of society after serving a prison sentence, especially if you're just a stupid kiddo below or in early 20'.

Prevention is not about harshness of the punishment but it's inevitability; there's a casus of thieves robbing a crowd that gathered to watch a public execution of other thieves.

Easy on the politics people.

I can agree hacking the nexus isn't the ultimate in cyber crime - but let's face it, there can be a lot of information people leave behind in their profile, all up for grabs, not to mention that when shit like that happens to the nexus stuff needs fixing, so it's even harder to download from it than usual :)

even if youre a moderator, forgive me if i (just my own opinion) call "bs" on hat one... it cant be harder to download from nexus than it was in the last months :D;):) did i mention this site here is great? only upload-trouble i had were sql-errors caused by my provider :)

and for the profiles... jeeez, some folks really want to get it up their butts. its like posting your whole life on facebook, and then you wonder why no one gives you a job when you take your real name as a nick and 90 percent of your pictures are from parties where you got piss-ass-drunk, fell asleep wasted and were decorated like a x-mas-tree (yep, including lipstick-penisses drawn on your face, true classic), or maybe went bungeejumping and crapped yourself and your pal found it funny to make a mobilephone-pic and upload it... with marking you and your name on the pic of course :D

either companies sell your data for money, or someone breaks into the site and steals it... well, to sell the data for money. end of the story: all the data you put online --> you should expect someone to use it against you.

oh, and electric-sheep... awesome posts :)

that one simpsons pic from grumpf was also funny :D

now, heres a IRL-picture from me, my real name is Alex Wesome, Nonyabusiness-Ave 69, Death Valley, Texas -->
