PsychoMachina Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Anyone venturous enough to create a throwaway Nexus account with the username ILUVTOFU?
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 IP ban for inappropriate user name?! At one time Dark0ne banned either Latvia or Lithuania, I can't remember which one. But YEAH, he banned the IP an entire country from Nexus because of ONE PERSON. ROFL!!
ElectricSheep Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Maybe all the banning is Dork0ne's secret plan to deal with the Nexus bandwidth problems.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Maybe all the banning is Dork0ne's secret plan to deal with the Nexus bandwidth problems. ... ... brilliant... simply brilliant
MikeMetal Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Maybe all the banning is Dork0ne's secret plan to deal with the Nexus bandwidth problems. Haha. Yet they do that for a long time and changes don't show up.
Kendo 2 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Anyone venturous enough to create a throwaway Nexus account with the username ILUVTOFU? Or maybe DILLIGAF. Do I Look Like I Give a Fuck.

gvman3670 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 He isn't banned. He just can't use the chatroom anymore. And that's probably a good thing because it's only inhabited by trolls, ne'erdowells, and whiners anyway.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 sigh... i know its just a warning, but we all know how fast the next step can happen. well, most of us i think... i just want my homeland! *sigh* and yeah, i know it works already... im just so eagerly awaiting his next updates... *loves that land*
D_ManXX2 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 well, ive heard of "script kiddos revenge" ... like spring 2013 or so. He was a German citizen and he is locked behind bars where he belongs.. But they caught him very fast. The one from Germany was worse since it was not just DDos but also hacking. So they made it priority to catch him. and told everyone to reset their passwords to prevent further damage. The reason why i got pissed is since i always use long complicated passwords. resetting such things are never funny. And i take these crimes seriously. because that is what it is a crime. plain and simple.
ElectricSheep Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 So some kiddo hacked a site with game mods and you want him to "freeze in cold behind bars" because you had to reset your password? Man, the nexus has really got into you, now you're as acrimonious as ppl who ran that place. Why so serious?
D_ManXX2 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Do i really have to answer that ?? To me it makes no different gaming mods, banking system. Hacking is a crime period..
ElectricSheep Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 To me it makes no different gaming mods, banking system. As a lawyer I see a huge difference, which is a minor social danger.
D_ManXX2 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 and i see a criminal in the making. lawyers are known for low morals.
ElectricSheep Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 And the moral thing to do is to put one in prison, no matter what their crime is, because prisons are known for their high resocialization value and ease in terms of finding a good job and becoming a lawful member of society after serving a prison sentence, especially if you're just a stupid kiddo below or in early 20'. Prevention is not about harshness of the punishment but it's inevitability; there's a casus of thieves robbing a crowd that gathered to watch a public execution of other thieves.
DoctaSax Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Easy on the politics people. I can agree hacking the nexus isn't the ultimate in cyber crime - but let's face it, there can be a lot of information people leave behind in their profile, all up for grabs, not to mention that when shit like that happens to the nexus stuff needs fixing, so it's even harder to download from it than usual

ElectricSheep Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 end of the story: all the data you put online --> you should expect someone to use it against you. Sums up the whole thing.

Sums up the whole thing. id have liked that one too, but i think ive been already generous today with you ... ps: i had 2 semesters of business-law and basically share your point of view.
